This is what I've been saying!! Imagine Barney Builder, You, The Barney Universe, Teerific Tributes get thise promo packages! The Barney's World post cards are like treasure, It would be nice to give it to HUGE fans who have been supporting Barney ever since they found out about him. It would be much bigger, why would they send packages to someone who doesn't even talk about Barney that much, Very sad that the twitter post didn't even reach 100 likes. I really hope Barney's World will be successful like Peppa, Bluey, Paw Partol and Barbie!
Seeing ya going through a throwback on your channel talking about a video of yours that you made last year, was about the time I discovered your channel and my rekindling of love of Barney I always had since growing up. Loved the content and then I became a subscriber since. I haven't watched much Barney since I lost cable midway through the 2006 series which I thought was a real fun watch before his dissipearnce. I am just happy Matell is giving Barney another chance yet again though in this day and age for this generation to grow up with. I am not sure why people are hating on Barneys World. its made for today's generation of kids and old fans that grew up with barney that have kids by now. heck I don't have kids yet still got lots of heart for Barney. New show looks really fun and I'm definitely going to give it a chance when I find time to watch it. :)
The only good reason to acknowledge fans is what the "general public" will think since they think "Barney is just for kids" and not the deeper meaning/significance within the media itself that also tends to plague animation (although there are even mainline kids/family animation that is well known for its more mature aspects kids will likely not notice, and we are on the cusp of change when it comes to that which might help the community's case, along with a good idea of the figure of adult-oriented merch sales, for Mattel to go out on a limb)
When the series drop tomorrow, I'll give it a chance to see if I like it or not. If it's good, then I'll watch it. But if it's not, then I'll stick to the Barney I grew up on back in 2006.

I do think that it's unfair that they are only sending the boxes to some influencers, and not the barney fan community. Also, if I do recall, Barney Builder was invited to the 'plexicon event.
Barney and Mattel don't want to target tourds adults it's for little children and special needs children and Adults. They want to reach out to the family influencers and family vloggers with babies and little kids.

We’ve had a hype brand targeting adult fans with expensive merchandise (Emotionally Unavailable), a candle collab again with expensive merch and random standard influencers with no connection to the brand, not families. Mattel themselves have also stated that they’ve been working on adult oriented Barney merchandise. They’ve been doing it, but the promotion of Barney’s World has begun in a somewhat concerning way
It is weird that they haven't reached out to the Barney fan community for promotional stuff, but, given the state of other fandoms, most likely, including their own stuff like Barbie, I'd say Mattel is hesitant to reach out to the fan community. As for not reaching out to former Barney cast and crew members, that's understandable too...from Mattel's possible point of view anyway. Whenever a long running franchise does anything new and they involve the past cast and/or crew members, those people tend to dominate everything, which can be detrimental to the new thing they're trying to do. So they might be trying to avoid that possibility. But, I don't know. Like you seem to have enough influence that when Mattel sees you talk about something Barney related like this, they tend to shape up a bit each time, as you said in the video.
I saw clips of this and all I'm gonna say is... the animation is the only good part of the show. 💀 Sucks so much talent was wasted into this. I really liked Barney's cartoony design.
Did you know that caillou's first voice actress, Bryn McAuley is gonna voice baby bop in the reboot???? Hopefully one day she might return as a guest role in the caillou reboot in the future.....
