    Just don't get the complainers. I bought one today here in Malta. 3 year warranty. Use fans all the time in conjunction with air con. Weekly maintenance of previous Airmate model bought 2 years ago with no issues. Still going strong in this heat and humidity now in bedroom. A Gregguk was offered a good out of warranty package and accuses Meaco of bad experience. He had 2 years of great use then motor causes problems. Don't know how much the previous model he had was but I am sure it was a good price. Here I paid 169€. Meacos reply is excellent.

      @@mahatmacoat7215 2 years and a bit for a £100 fan is ridiculous. Meaco offered me just 20% off a new £100 fan. That is not a good offer at all. So after 2 years I would be paying £180 pounds for a desktop fan! I am complaining because I feel I wasted a lot of my money and Meaco did not offer any help with a replacement motor for sale or any offer for repairs or a reasonable replacement. Sorry if I sound bitter, because I am.

    I sent Meaco support a question on the 1st of August but still haven't received a reply. I did receive a confirmation email: "Thank you for contacting Meaco. Your email has been received and we will be in contact as soon as possible. "

    Do you plan on selling the poles separately? Love mine but one extra poles worth if height would be amazing. That's if the base could cope with that extra height?
    My remote doesn't even remotely (pun intended!) glow in the dark though??

      thank you for your purchase and your questions.
      The pedestal is already higher than any of our other fans and the competitions. I won't go any higher because of the topple.
      To charge the remote please keep it face up in the light during the day to allow the buttons to charge.

    Can the oscillation be done manually without remote ??

    Can the about of side to side turning radius be adjusted. Or is it just the full 120⁰

    What about cleaning? The fans pick up dust very easily and the current 1056 was such a pain to clean… you had to manually unscrew the device then dismantle it then clean it.. I didn’t even bother putting the screws back in as having to take them out puts me off wanting to clean it… I know you’ve thought about the quality of your air flow and fan features but what about the maintenance for the user? How is it different for this fan?

      You will like Sefte then. Just one screw to remove the front grill and access the cleaning.

      I took the fan apart as recommended by Meaco every few months to thoroughly clean it. I did this again to check where the noise was coming from and it is the motor making the grinding noise even without the fan blades. In my opinion it seems like the motor bearings are not lubricated any more but Meaco have no recommendations on how to fix this or any way to repair or replace the motor. It was 6 months out of warranty when this loud noise started so Meaco are within their rights to refuse to replace the fan, but what is annoying is I paid $100 for something that only lasted 2.5 years after careful cleaning and care and is not repairable and I will have to throw it away, that is not good customer service. Meaco offered me a small 20% discount on a new fan which I find insulting . Anyway, I will not buy any Meaco products again or recommend them after this unusually bad experience. I have contacted many manufacturers over the years for various reasons and have always had a good experience and positive response.

      @@Greguk444tbh that sounds identical to mine. Ever since I cleaned it now it makes this squeeking sound. I also bought mine just over 2 years ago. Hmm I’ve messaged Meaco and see will see what they say. The new shark fan seems pretty good but i do like the way Meaco moves the air

      The 1056 is still easier to clean than any Dyson fan

    I bought a Meaco Fan, after 2 years it stopped being quiet and is too noisy to use at anytime. Meaco refused to help as I was just out of warranty and do not sell the motor. I cannot recommend Meaco products after this very bad experience

      We’re sorry to hear that, Greg. Of course we care, and we are always interested in finding a solution. However, we do not offer spare motors for fans to replace yourself. We have a generous warranty policy and even in your case, where you fall out of warranty, we made you, what we consider, a generous offer. In fact, we made you an offer that would make the purchase of a new fan make more sense than having it repaired at cost. It’s unfortunate you don’t feel the same and we do appreciate your side on this, but we simply can’t do better than that.

      @@MeacoUK Let’s be clear, you offered 20% off a new fan, which is way off being generous. Furthermore, I would still have to pay £80 for a new fan on top of £99 I already spent totalling around £180 for a desk top fan!. I accept you have no obligation to help me as I am just out of the warranty, but I expected more help with repairing my broken fan and offering spares for sale such as the motor.
