I'm thinking that Horner knows how edgy/hard the car is too drive. And it doesn't matter who he's puts in the car, the second driver will struggle. Max is very talented and can muster it. Mercedes and Ferrari have similar issues with a fine window of setting up a edgy car.

Piastri performs slightly better in 2 races and all of a sudden hes better even though lando has been demolishing him all season. These oscar fans are kinda weird. Let the boy develop more and then we can say who will be the team leader. He has potential, but we have to see if he fulfills it.

comparing how long Lando has been in the team then you get Oscar in his 2nd year with pace and still learning to manage his tyres, I can see Oscar being a better driver, more polished, and his very stealth the way he goes about things
McLaren have done brilliantly to get themselves to such a competitive position in this groundd effects era. Probably the best driver pairing of the top four teams, and ability to bring upgrades that work. They're still relearning how to win (it has been a while since they were at the front) I'm looking forward to see how they go in the rest of the season, and 2025.
Oscar is my favourite driver. he should have given lando that win. I hope he reads this and realises that this was a missed opportunity for him, to show TRUE CLASS above everyone. You'll get more chances to do that again Oscar. Forget about yourself lad
A bit more critical interview would be appropriate. This guys team should be favorites for winning the Drivers’ this year, but they have managed to throw it away step by step.
Favorites for winning the championship despite Redbull absolutely dominating the first 8 races? When cars are equal drivers don’t gain or lose that many points. So in the world is it possible to close up that dominant gap?

Zak skipped past the question but I’d love to see the redbull drivers swap cars, just change the seat, then get a few laps in at any circuit and see if Perez is still that far behind! They are keeping him for a reason so he can’t actually be that slow!

Not to mention that it’s Audi, so they can give him independence in designing other Non-F1 cars if he wants. With Wheatley & Newey there. Max will know the car will be good. Even if not immediately. Also, if Marko leaves for Audi too. It’s almost guaranteed imo.

Imo, Piastri is the future of McLaren. He’s been incredible lately. If he overtakes Lando, he’ll be the team leader at McLaren.
Piastri is great but Lando is way quicker. There’s a reason he’s P2 in the championship. He was also way faster in Hungary

Piastri won F3 and F2 in his maiden seasons, the guy is a natural - sure he's not as fast as Lando atm but he's very consistent
