My favourite episode so far, Chelva looks absolutely gorgeous and the hiking trail and bathing spots were spectacular. Well done to Alison on nailing the tunnels and happy birthday 🤟❤️🎉
Thanks Steve. 😊 If we went again, I might not go through the tunnel. The river at the other end, was beautiful, but the bathing spot before it, was much nicer. It had to be done to know that though and I'm not one to back away from a challenge. Much love, Alison 💜🤟
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US the beautiful village of Chelva!!!
It was utterly our pleasure. We adored meeting the locals, those with 2 legs and those with 4 legs. The area is an incredible find and we don't know how so many people don't know about it. The water to drink was amazing, the river water was incredibly clear and I made the most of feeding the trout with my pizza base. We love that you have such incredible childhood memories of your llalla. What a lovely place to have grown up. We are more than a little jealous. We hope we did Chelva proud with our video. Much love Alison and Darren. 😘💜🤞
Yet another enjoyable and informative video. Chelva looks so interesting. Our list of places to visit is just getting longer and longer, thanks to your videos.
Chelva was an incredible little find for us. We will definitely visit again. By the time that your holiday is finished, you'll need a holiday to get over it..! 🤣😂🤣 Next week's spectacular find is a little closer to Calpe, so you won't have to travel quite so far. La Cova Tallada. It's hard on the knees though, so be warned and get training. 😉💜🤟
We both wear Merrell hiking shoes, but have changed the laces for elastic laces, to make it easier to adjust them for socks/no socks. They were about €70 but have been worth their weight in gold. They are specifically designed to be used in all conditions and dispel water as soon as possible, but they do make a few classic noises to start off with, when you walk in them wet. 😬
Thanks for that! That info is really helpful. We will only be doing a few things this holiday as really need the rest and relaxation after a difficult year. Most things on our list will be waiting for our retirement to Spain! 😄
Definitivamente veremos Benacacira. Gracias por la recomendación. Mucho amor Alison y Darren💜🤟
Thank-you Graham. Hopefully the weather will be kind to you in a couple of weeks. This week is meant to be wet. It should still be warm though, so it's all good. 😬💜🤟
Gracias Ana. 😉😘 Mucho amor, Alison y Darren. 💜🤟
We go there all the time, but haven't recorded Oliva, other than in passing. We originally thought we might like to live in Oliva, until we found Potríes. It is still on our list to visit for the channel, but other than the castle, Oliva is mostly semi-modern. Our Fallas episode is in Gandía, as are a couple of our earlier episodes. They are marked as Gandía, before the title. Gandía is much larger than Oliva and you could easily lose yourself in it's architecture for a day or more. 💜🤟
@jambroqc So sorry for our delay in responding. We have only just found your comment. 🤦🏼♀️ We're glad you enjoyed this video and we have found a lot more hidden Spanish gems since then too..! Much love, Alison and Darren 💜🤟
Mucho amor, Darren and Alison 💜🤟

Can we ask.... what footwear do you wear. We note you wear them in the water. Are they still comfortable walking afterwards when they are wet?

Another good video, will check that out in July. Back for a few days in a fortnight, but that is a little too far when it’s a short visit.

😉😘 Mucho amor, Alison y Darren. 💜🤟
Those narrow tunnels are probably the remains of a Roman aqueduct. Aqueducts are like that.
We thought it was part of a water system too, but we didn't know how old it was, or who built it. Much love, Darren and Alison, 💜🤟
Have you been to Olivia or grandia those are the places we visiting in 5 weeks 😊

@@findingxanadulife thank you I’ll look for that episode
The Borja Palace is a must see when you are here. The decoration is exquisite. 💜🤟
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I think Spain has a lot of hidden gems most tourists have not discovered. Keep going folks. Thanks.
