Could it be possible that Mother Russia Bleeds and Hotline Miami possibly be two alternate timeline's with mother Russia Bleeds being the timeline where America wins the russo American war and hotline miami being the one where Russia wins...just food for thought
I changed my mind after seeing how many people watched the Mother Russia Bleeds Story Summary, and made this one first! Hope you enjoy! Now I'll be working on the Blasphemous DLC video! Probably won't come out until January! In the meantime, Happy Holidays everyone! Also, sorry for the basic thumbnail, but I just can't get one I like and I've been messing with it for so long that I'm sick of it and just picked some promotional art for Mother Russia Bleeds. Just imagine there's some Hotline Miami stuff included in it too. Lol. Thanks for watching!
Tony: Guess these Ruskies aren't so bad Mark: Can't believe we survived that raid on the Russian Mafia hideout Ash: but why Russia? Alex: I agree with Ash Corey: let's be lucky we're still alive
The Henchman from Hotline Miami displayed some of the side effects of Nekro. When the Fans are beating him, he doesn't seem to feel the pain; Nekro could work in a similar way to Leprosy, in that it affects the neurons responsible for pain. I'd imagine Nekro was initially planned to be a combat drug (not unlike how Kronos from Kitana Zero was deployed) designed to boost the capabilities of the Bratva's MPs. However, much like how Leprosy was seen as a dangerous condition, the pain supression isn't a good idea in execution. Pain is a necessary part of human existence, it's how we learn. In addition, pain is how the body communicates that it has reached its limit. Compounded by the steroidal effects of Nekro, we would tear each other apart before dying ourselves. Makes sense for a parasitic organization like the Bratva to make, but still!
Consider the supernatural aspect though! The fans appearance could be like richard's appearances throughout hotline miami, a premonition of whats to come if things continue the way they are. The fans themselves experienced it right before storming the mafia's stronghold, with mark having a premonition of the radio conversations before his death at the hands of the son
@@tableprinterdoor I don't think so. Richard was a phantom who either didn't or couldn't do anything. But he didn't need to. He appeared everywhere, to so many unrelated people, telling them thay nothing mattered and they were basically all going to die. And there was nothing you could do about any of it. Nekro was just a hallucination brought on by using the drug, but he could be beaten. If you don't use Nekro, he doesn't even exist. If you do, well, you just have to force yourself to stop. Richard doesn't even do anything but talk, but is all the more powerful for it.
Thanks for covering this! And yeah, I agree that the Fans are just an easter egg, but the Bratva theory could very well be possible. Also the drug connection with the drugs being the same or Son's new product being an evolved form of Nekro *also holy shit this means 50 blessings killed Vlad and maybe the other heroes (if the good ending is canon) as the Russian and American presidents were killed*
Thanks for watching, man! I really appreciate it! Yeah, it does! 50 Blessings don't mess around, man. You're in their way, they're going to take care of you. Lol.
Maybe can be tied up with the alternate timeline theory but instead of one side winning, it's Vlad and the Heroes who put an end to the conflict by overthrowing the government. However, 50 blessings doesn't like this because they can't no longer live on people's anger, so they decide to hunt down the 4 Russians or (and this a big stretch) launch the nuke that is seen in Hotline Miami 2 ending.
My new headcanon ^^ Really good job with the connections! My take on the Fans on Mother RUssia Bleeds could be EXTEMELY coincidence of some folks dressed as them or jus a hallucination. Sergei look at the side and see those dudes with animal heads and just goes "...hm" before continuing to punch the guy he has on the ground.
Thanks so much, man! To be honest, I didn't think up a whole lot of this (especially the Nekro connection), so I don't deserve all the credit. Yeah, trying to rationalize the Fans existence in Russia in 1986 is really hard. I think Hallucination is really the best explanation. Lol. Thanks for watching!
1:40 the Bratvá (yep, accent goes onto last a) in Russian literally means "brotherhood". This word is a part of "criminal language", in regular Russian we use word Bratstvo.
I wouldn't say it's Nekro exactly as he seems to gain Psionic abilities with his drug, but I think it's notable that the story of Katana Zero also concerns a combat drug that's kept hidden by the Government. Maybe the Government got its idea from the Bratva... Lol. Thanks for watching!
dont know about MRB but your brief summary on Hotline Miami storyline really helped me a lot. I've finished two HLM games but still confused about what happened, after this video I got it all thx
The fans held alot of resentment feeling useless because jacket's platoon literally left no one alive, they were always to late, they were trying to get the action and admiration they craved
I really enjoy the idea that both of these games are connected. One being because the first hotline Miami game is one of my favorite games of all time the second one is good but I feel it's 10 times more difficult than the original and I still haven't beaten the second one even though I beat in the first one but I enjoy the idea that both of them are connected.
I'd like to mention there are various other cameos as well. The kids from Crossing Souls (in the camp), the drinks from Red Strings Club (in the Bar/Club), and probably a couple other cameos I can't remember at the second.
I asked Dennis Wedin years ago if the two games were supposed to have a shared universe...he said no. It is however interesting to look at some of the lore similarities.
Honestly, imagine a brief cameo where there are three paintings, one of the Grandfather in his prime, one of the Father, and one of the Son as a child.
First off happy holidays Squatch! May you have a happy one :D! Second of all....in that level for a second i had had stop myself to look at the fans "Holy shit!" Thanks a lot, man! I'm going to try my best! Laughing and smiling are some of my favorite activities and doing it with the Family is even better! Hope yours can be just as pleasant! Thanks a lot, man! Yeah, I had to stretch some truths to make it work, and there was a whole section about Vlad that I cut really late in the process, but I think it still came out okay. Happy to hear it was still enjoyable! :) Thanks for watching, man!
It does seem like a very cool idea if Mother Russia Bleeds and Hotline Miami to be in the same universe, meaning they both be canon to the the Devolver Cinematic Universe.

IMO, if we were to use this theory, I would say it's half-true. Specifically, the shared universe takes place only in HALF of Mother Russia Bleeds. Specifically, the bad end. Without the four Roma fighters to help him, while Vlad is able to unite the people of Mother Russia, they aren't as cohesive or competent without them, and their deaths shook him to his very core. They're able to drive out the Bratva, but a majority of their forces still remain, able to wreak havoc elsewhere. Rising pressures between the wars and the attacks in Miami eventually lead Vlad to cracking, and because he has no one to help him 50 Blessings manages to assassinate him and lead to the nuclear war. However, if Vlad DOES have the heroes with him, Russia is far more united and is able to completely crack down on the mafia, wiping them out and becoming a symbol of the horrors of the drug. If the remnants do choose to pack up and flee to establish a base in Miami as in the original games, even if the timeline stays the same, it's possible the heroes, while not politically savvy, would certainly find positions as bodyguards or other forms of combatants. Maybe they could've prevented the assassination of the president and stopped the war from happening? Who knows?
I think that's a very good theory! I had a whole piece of my own about Vlad in the video where I try to understand why Vlad would have nuked the US right after taking control of Russia (going under the assumption that it was him that did it and not some rogue Bratva entities), but cut it late in the making of of it cause I thought it was really, REALLY weak, and felt like I was just finding something to talk about to pad run time instead of having something of value to actually talk about. Lol. Thanks for watching!
Come to think of it... there's also a lethal drug and a Russian mobster in Katana Zero... While I don't think they take place in the same universe, it is indeed a very interesting thought experiment. Maybe, there are two timelines, correspondent to the two endings of Mother Russia Bleeds. Regardless of the timeline, the fighters managed to inflict serious damage on the Bratva, forcing Grandfather, Father and Son to migrate to Florida. Perhaps, in the bad ending (where the fighters die), Vlad fails to overthrow the government, which leads to the nuclear war in HM2. And, in the other timeline (where the fighters live), Vlad builds a more democratic government, which in turn, loses its influence over US and the Coalition is dissolved. Then, in the chain of events that follows, 50 Blessings is discovered and defeated (and perhaps, the abandoned bunker Evan discovers in The Abyss becomes a reality).
I think the drug sells it, like the Russian mafia thing is a good coincidence but both games having the Russian mafia making a drug that is essentially a combat stim that causes intense hallucinations is a really good argument, everything else is just a neat bow on top
Sure, but you could say that obviously a criminal organization is going to have a hand in drug trafficking, and any similarities between the drugs is a coincidence. Lol. Thanks for watching, man! Happy to hear you enjoyed! :)
@@SquatchGamingChannel maybe but the beserker traits and hallucinogenic effects make it more then just a drug, they could have dealt coke or lsd but instead you get a nameless green drug that turns you into a beserker and causes psychotic side effects made by the Russian mafia it lines up so well it sells it for me when combined with everything else heheh it was a good videos thank you for making it
I mean, different gangs, different country’s, it would make sense for it to be called different things in order to make it seem more appealing and able to scam people for 2 of the same drug just different names
Used to watch a lotta squatch gaming official back in the Hotline Miami videos; something different about him here... a little slower? It's the tone, perhaps? There was definitely something more enthralling about the older videos.
Oh, yeah, stuff has changed over the years (TL;DR at the end)! I started doing some reading into voiceover and whatnot, and a common recommendation was to speak slower and with a more calming tone. I was trying that stuff out with these videos, but a common complaint I got back in these days was that it was *way too slow* (there are plenty of comments on the Mother Russia Bleeds story video pointing that out). I like to think I've sped things back up - mainly because I haven't any of those complaints recently - but it's probably still a good bit slower than it was back in 2017. When this video was uploaded, I was also obsessed with trying to get a more bass-y or lower tone/register in my narration, but my voice isn't built like that at all, so the voiceover suffers as a result. Then I read a quote that said something to the effect of "Quit trying to sound like other people because you'll never be able to replicate them, and you'll lose the best part of your narration: You! No one can read like you do, so just read like you do!" so I've stopped doing that too. While the tone isn't the same as it was in 2017, I think it's improved from what's in this video, and even from 2017. Or maybe not! You'll have to let me know! I feel it just goes to show that we're always changing and trying out new things! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't! But hey, that's life! TL;DR - Yeah, it's changed from 2017 to be exactly what you said, but even the tone I use now is different from when this video was uploaded. We're always changing! Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't! Appreciate you sharing your thoughts! I'm always looking for ways to improve, and reading feedback like this goes a long way in doing that, so thank you! And thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed the slow, "less enthralling" video. Lol.
@@SquatchGamingChannel Hey, I really enjoyed the reply - it's really got me smiling. For the most part, I just really liked the Hotline Miami videos. To be fully frank, when I first heard your voice from the hotline miami videos, I thought it was little... inadequate... a little, I don't know, just... not quite there, in regards to the context of that specific video game, and yet it was something that grew and grew on me such that it's kept me rewatching those videos to this very day; perhaps for the elucidating content, or perhaps even for your very comforting voice that somehow happens now to resonate with my senses to the very time I listened to it. In either case, I wish you all the best. Whatever you deliver - if you do so as intricately as you've done with this video, or with others in the past, many will come to listen.
About "monumental world events". In HM we see that Russia was winning the war despite the best efforts of a few heroes in Hawaii. And their nuclear attack on San-Francisco seem to be successful and got no retaliatory strike from USA. Why would they stop the war, why would they make peace? I see only one explanation - Russia had to deal with the consequences of the revolution and could not afford fighting both civil war and war with US. It was only a month after events of the MRB, and this is certainly not enough to establish power of revolutionary government over whole territory of country as big as Russia. There is even a possibility that nuclear strike wasn't authorized by new Vlad's government.
There are some creepy moments (the Sewers and parts of the Club are pretty spooky, a feeling that's enhanced by great music from Fixions), but it's not that scary of a game. At least, not for me! Lol. Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed!
I mean, the idea for Chronos had to come from somewhere right? And the fact that the Government developed Chronos seems eerily familiar as well... Lol Thanks for watching!
@@SquatchGamingChannel hold on, what if V used a new version of nekro??? he isn't null but he is probably drugged with something else. He is russian too
Would that mean it's tied to the Payday 2 or Payday: The Heist? I could be very wrong. Also, if they'd used the Hotline Miami crew in the war timeline it would look out of place, people only recognize them by the masks.
Holy shit!!! i fucking knew it this is crazy! When i saw this game and learned abit about it's story how there's drug deals and stuff i thought: "Damn this gives hotline miami vibes" And i might have been right!
The creator of the series, THELEGOMack, is actually working on a Full Chronology video of his own for the series. I don't want to steal his thunder! I think he was aiming to release it before the end of the year, but that might get pushed back! Thanks for watching!
Your point about the fans being bad fighters is even true in the present. All their levels have them beating up small time thugs, likely teenagers or under 25. The one time they actually get into some shit is when the russian mob is at its lowest point and they all get smashed by Son alone.
I've been reading that a lot. Lol. I wouldn't know because I've never been, but hopefully things get better for people over there. Thanks for watching!
ua-cam.com/video/MRww9ooDBSg/v-deo.html Waiting to get off of work to watch it through one last time to make sure there aren’t any technical glitches in it before making it public, but since you asked, you can watch it first! :)
There was a technical glitch in the render, so I'll have to rerender the video to get rid of that and reupload the video. It'll be a while before it's public, but I'll keep the old one up for you so you can still watch it!
I know this is speculation but remember in hotline Miami there were three people in mask and in hotline Miami 2 it was only jacket . Would it be possible that the ones in the first game were the (sorry i forgot their names) the zebra the tiger and rooster being jacket or Richard himself went to Miami to warn the player. And the souls of the fans would be warning the future of Russia to the player
Your comment is kind of jumbled, but I think I understand what you're getting at. You're asking if the three people Jacket sees in his nightmares (the Girl as Don Juan, a Russian mobster as Rasmus, and himself as Richard) could also be appearing to the Heroes in Russia in the form of the Fans, right? If that's the case, I think that's a very good theory, and I hadn't thought of that at all when I was making this! That very well could be the case!
The people wearing masks in hotline miami 2 arent jacket, they are a bunch of teens calling themselves the fans killing people after jacket got arrested.
Bro, you haven't even watched the whole thing yet! Unless you watched it fast forwarded... Lol. Appreciate the vote of confidence! Thanks for watching!
I can certainly add it to the list of games I'll try to cover next year! There's a few that have been requested as well as some of my own that I'm interested in, so I can't promise when (or if) I'll get to it, but Ender Lilies has been requested a few times, so that should help it! Thanks for the request/recommendation! And thanks for watching!
It was because they didn't add anything specifically to the story. I did get a clip of them in the video though, and they eventually got their own time to shine here! Lol Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed!
In the end, even the citizens of Russia themselves demand freedom from the Russian mafia, in the end the Russians and Americans They are not that different but the reference from the fans in MRB is a great nod
No way, man! I'm a man of my word except for that one channel update video that I made private because I didn't do what I said I was going to do in it. Lol. Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
This video specifically or that it would come out before the Blasphemous one? Even if it was unexpected, I hope it was a pleasant surprise! Thanks for watching!
This doesn't make much sense. If the bratva were ousted by the revolution, how do they have connections with coalition government of Russo-Americans? The first part of the coalition are quite literally the ones who brought them down. Shouldn't the information of a huge criminal syndicate that was toppled by the revolution also be quite open to the American populace? If so, why would anyone blame the government that actively tried to get rid of this mafia? It doesn't help that supposed bratva didn't bring or research again their drug Nekro, and that they didn't sell it. Not once a thing like that is mentioned in Hotline Miami - Russian mafia there deals in a fairly standard drugs like enhanced LSD, NOT combat drugs... most of the time.
Yeah, I've done a couple on Destiny and Bioshock along with the one you mentioned for the Last of Us, but they are nowhere near as popular as the indie titles (outside of the Payday 2 one which I'm sure was influenced by the Hotline Miami connection). If people were more interested in seeing videos on those, I would make them, but my audience seems more interested in and more satisfied with the indie titles, so that's where I've decided to keep my focus. Hope that answers your question! Thanks for asking! And thanks for watching!

I wanna see somebody make a crack theory that all these “Miami-likes” are in the same universe
I’m convinced the fans time travelled back in time to when mother Russia bleeds takes place
I actually really like this whether or not its real, such a good concept
really good video too, ^+^
I think the drug sells it, like the Russian mafia thing is a good coincidence but both games having the Russian mafia making a drug that is essentially a combat stim that causes intense hallucinations is a really good argument, everything else is just a neat bow on top
Sure, but you could say that obviously a criminal organization is going to have a hand in drug trafficking, and any similarities between the drugs is a coincidence. Lol.
Thanks for watching, man! Happy to hear you enjoyed! :)
@@SquatchGamingChannel maybe but the beserker traits and hallucinogenic effects make it more then just a drug, they could have dealt coke or lsd but instead you get a nameless green drug that turns you into a beserker and causes psychotic side effects made by the Russian mafia
it lines up so well it sells it for me when combined with everything else heheh
it was a good videos thank you for making it
U missed that in HM there are USSR,in MRB - Russia in "Rebuilding" period
I mean, different gangs, different country’s, it would make sense for it to be called different things in order to make it seem more appealing and able to scam people for 2 of the same drug just different names
My theory: MRB and HM occur in the same universe, their events happening simultaneously and not.
Even though they line up, they're both devolver games and I think that might be the only reason
You should do videos on the Lakeview cabin games
Any thoughts on going over the Hotline Miami comic?
The Digital comic for HLM2 or Wildlife?
I don't think I could make it very enjoyable, but if people want to see it, I could make something on it!
There is even a possibility that nuclear strike wasn't authorized by new Vlad's government.
those paintings... its an easter egg for a movie
Heres one, what about hotline Miami and katana zero being in a shared universe? Probably not, but it's interesting to think about
Could be the same universe, alternate timeline. Hard to say, however.
I wanted to play Mother Russia Bleeds but even *that* was too scary for me 💀
There are some creepy moments (the Sewers and parts of the Club are pretty spooky, a feeling that's enhanced by great music from Fixions), but it's not that scary of a game. At least, not for me! Lol.
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed!
Hey it’s only scary if you can’t kill the scary things and have to run away
And in MRB you can kill all of them
@@tableprinterdoor wild.
its probably connected with katana zero
I mean, the idea for Chronos had to come from somewhere right? And the fact that the Government developed Chronos seems eerily familiar as well... Lol
Thanks for watching!
So the timeline
1986 - MRB
1989-1991= HLM
*way off in the future* - katana 0
@@SquatchGamingChannel hold on, what if V used a new version of nekro??? he isn't null but he is probably drugged with something else. He is russian too
I almost mentioned V. Lol. Maybe he was with the Russian Mafia back in the day! ;)
Or it's just a cameo from the series that inspired mrb.
It has similar themes but that doesn't make it a marvel animated universe thing.
The drugs actually made sense because we don't really get to know what the drug is in hotline Miami
Good to see Hotline Miami back
When will we get videos on Hunter Brotherhood?
The creator of the series, THELEGOMack, is actually working on a Full Chronology video of his own for the series. I don't want to steal his thunder! I think he was aiming to release it before the end of the year, but that might get pushed back!
Thanks for watching!
Your point about the fans being bad fighters is even true in the present. All their levels have them beating up small time thugs, likely teenagers or under 25. The one time they actually get into some shit is when the russian mob is at its lowest point and they all get smashed by Son alone.
The hotline Miami channel has found more hotline content 👏🏻🐿
Huh, and here I was, thinking it was just a nod to Hotline Miami
Most likely is, but it's still fun to speculate. Lol.
Thanks for watching, man!
The fans werent the group from hawai
The story sounds like Russia now.
I've been reading that a lot. Lol. I wouldn't know because I've never been, but hopefully things get better for people over there.
Thanks for watching!
Will you covering the Wounds of Eventide for Blasphemous?
ua-cam.com/video/MRww9ooDBSg/v-deo.html
Waiting to get off of work to watch it through one last time to make sure there aren’t any technical glitches in it before making it public, but since you asked, you can watch it first! :)
There was a technical glitch in the render, so I'll have to rerender the video to get rid of that and reupload the video. It'll be a while before it's public, but I'll keep the old one up for you so you can still watch it!
Great vid. Are the Mother Russia Bleed dev's working on another game?
I've heard they released another one that's nothing like MRB, but I'm not sure if they're working on another game.
Thanks for watching!
@@SquatchGamingChannel thank you
The people wearing masks in hotline miami 2 arent jacket, they are a bunch of teens calling themselves the fans killing people after jacket got arrested.
@@chestnut4860 so your saying that the fans weren’t the d company in Hawaii that took weeks to take the area if not teens?
@@chestnut4860 or they were the Russian version of the fans ?
what was the song at the right before the outro?

Bro, you haven't even watched the whole thing yet! Unless you watched it fast forwarded... Lol.
Appreciate the vote of confidence! Thanks for watching!
@@SquatchGamingChannel yet...
I think you have made a mistake, Mother Russia Bleeds is situated in Romania
How do we know that the fans were part of D company?
Can you makke a vidoe about ender lilies quietus of the knights
I can certainly add it to the list of games I'll try to cover next year! There's a few that have been requested as well as some of my own that I'm interested in, so I can't promise when (or if) I'll get to it, but Ender Lilies has been requested a few times, so that should help it!
Thanks for the request/recommendation! And thanks for watching!
@@SquatchGamingChannel are you going makke a vidoe about blastphamous dlc
I sure am! Working on playing through the DLC now! It'll be a while before it's ready (probably JAN), but I'm definitely working on it!
Was wondering why you didn’t talk about that
It was because they didn't add anything specifically to the story. I did get a clip of them in the video though, and they eventually got their own time to shine here! Lol
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed!
It is made by a different company, idk maybe coincidence?
Edit: also didn’t pardo kill one of the surrendered fans? I think Corey but I dunno
I think katana zero story wise is hotline Miami but in japan
I knew it was just a matter of time
Am I that predictable? Lol.

@@SquatchGamingChannel nah man don’t worry the internet is full of theories like these, love your videos though, keep up the good work
In the end, even the citizens of Russia themselves demand freedom from the Russian mafia, in the end the Russians and Americans They are not that different but the reference from the fans in MRB is a great nod
definitley don't think it's true but very well done on the arguments part
14:07 6 pilss ????????? oh no
I finally beat showdown that was so hard I wasn’t I’m nine years old and somehow I beat all the levels by myself😮😊
So you didnt joke when you said you are gonna make an another Mother Russia Bleeds video
No way, man! I'm a man of my word except for that one channel update video that I made private because I didn't do what I said I was going to do in it. Lol.

Another Payday 2 crossover?🤣
Ayo?
Yo!
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed!
Hmm
Have you think about making some story summary that not a indie game ? Like last of us that you did
Yeah, I've done a couple on Destiny and Bioshock along with the one you mentioned for the Last of Us, but they are nowhere near as popular as the indie titles (outside of the Payday 2 one which I'm sure was influenced by the Hotline Miami connection). If people were more interested in seeing videos on those, I would make them, but my audience seems more interested in and more satisfied with the indie titles, so that's where I've decided to keep my focus.
Hope that answers your question! Thanks for asking! And thanks for watching!
