-know where everything is
Even if it isn't aesthetically pleasing as long as you know where everything is, it will reduce stress
-take 5 minute breaks after 30 mins of studying
Whether you go get a snack, watch a short video, or just sit there do something you like doing in that 5 minute time window ,it will give you motivation to to keep going.
- have a planner(even if it just a notebook) it's good to know what upcoming tests you have and which assignments are due.
- set a specific time you think it will take you to finish each assignment.
- have your favorite *non alcoholic* drink
Ex. Iced coffee, tea or water. Whatever you like.
-keep your study area clean
Take 5 to 10 minutes to speed clean your study area before you start studying.
-and lastly don't go so hard on yourself, no one should expect you to be perfect on the first time.

@@rawan_ahmad_ I don't feel motivated , I don't have a desk neither a chair neither a laptop , tablet neither a lot of supplies, and that demotivates me . 😞
1. Your notes DONT have to be aesthetic to learn. Bro, if you can understand it, then it’s good. Istg some of my notes are just weird with dumb abbreviations but still works man.
2. You don’t wanna study? Don’t do it. I’m serious. But only give yourself like a minute or two. You’ll feel the constant “But I have to study.” It’s annoying. After you feel it, think to yourself what’d happen if you study. How would you feel after it? You’d lose the anxiety of forgetting to study.
3. Associate studying with pleasure. Think of getting A*s because you study now.
4. Eat while studying. It’s pretty dope but if it distracts you then don’t.
5. Music is dope but you don’t always need it. Bro, try opening the window (if your desk is there.) IT SOUNDS SUPER NICE (unless your neighbor is arguing about divorce because Tabitha didn’t want to make spaghettis that day).
6. I swear. To god. Take a break. Don’t always study. Study until it’s enough. Don’t like study all day like those UA-camrs. Trust me. (Unless you like studying, can’t blame you.) You should have day offs like A LOT OF DAY OFFS. Life that the internet show you isn’t real. If it’s real and all they do is study all day everyday, then that’s just sad. You should have time to game and stuff or just do whatever you want. Do you want to know the worse feeling I’ve learnt from trying to study all day because I thought it was good? When one second it’s day and another it’s already night. I lost the time to do something else because all I did was study. Balance them. Otherwise, you’ll lose the day.
It’s unrealistic to just study since you wake up until night (talking about self-study).
7. Read. Don’t just copy and paste your notes and lectures. Read them over lol. Just taking notes is good and all but it doesn’t help much if you’re not going to read it.
8. Homework before study. Trust me. Tried studying first before homework, not good. Try homework with your notes nearby so you can do both as well but after you’re done with homework study. Like, an hour or three is fine. You don’t need like 9 hours lol.
9. This is probs controversial but don’t drink coffee. It’s not healthy or unhealthy but I just suggest you don’t. Next thing you know after a cup of coffee, you can’t continue with a cup of coffee to stay awake anymore the next day and you need more. Instead, try lemon juice or cool water or any fruit juices. Maybe have some fruits as snacks along the way. Oh, and apples. They’re good at keep me (at least) awake. Cherry can be sleepy sometimes so freeze it and eat it with fruit juice or water to stay awake (tastes bomb). And Chocolate. Those keeps you awake too, kinda. And mint. Bubblegum too. Or maybe just, you know, get up and wash your face with warm water, leave it for a bit, and splash it cold. Might help.
10. Aesthetic does help motivate you but if you can’t make it aesthetic, don’t worry! Does your handwriting suck? Well that’s fine. Just find a line notebook and try to keep it on line. Next you’d just wanna layout your notes. Headings should be big so you can see clearly. Maybe change colors for headings and sub headings. Maybe underline them headings and sub headings. Make a square or just circle formulas.
Again, you don’t have to do these. It’s optional. But I just want to repeat this: School life isn’t just for education. Make friends. Live life. Enjoy adventures and hanging out. Play video games. Cook. Procrastinate. Sleep. Pretend you’re in an opera in the shower. Your life shouldn’t fixate on just studying. There are other things you should do as well. We’re humans, not study machines. Now tell me, who has a higher chance of being employed; a person who is intelligent but is serious and only fixed on the theoretical concepts and only cares about work and can’t socialize versus someone with the same qualities but can socialize and actually enjoys life. If your job interviewer wants the first one, congrats because you just dodged a bullet.

"honestly it seems like half of studytube is just rampant consumerism and aesthetics rather than actual study tips. For every study video there are 5 haul, shopping spree, or unboxing videos. You DO NOT need 50 pastel highlighters and a million different sticky notes to do well in school. Those back to school hauls with a bunch of useless crap are the worst. Your notes don't have to be "aesthetic" they just have to be neat. You don't have to draw doodles and track your water intake, sleep, and how many breathes you are taking per second in your planner. You don't need a giant desk with plants. Most of this is just done for novelty/aesthetic purposes. While I don't think there is anything wrong with doing this if it makes you happy, this can be really discouraging for people who can't afford to buy a bunch of pretty useless stationary or don't have the time/skill to make everything aesthetic. As someone who has been consuming this content for 3 years now, and has recently completed A levels, I used to feel bad for not buying new stationary every year and spent an absurd amount of time rewriting my notes which is time I could've used to actually do proper work. Now I have found that keeping things simple and minimal is the best way to actually study. Don't be blinded by instagram and youtube, it's social media at the end of the day. Cute and colorful things get the most clicks. Pretty pens or aesthetic notes is the last thing you need in order to succeed."

I agree with this. I used to worry so much about having perfect aesthetic hand-writing and notes but I now realized what a big mistake I was making. I am starting highschool soon and I hope to do my best without thinking about making things aesthetic.

At the end of the day they are happy with their stationary and when you are older you can buy them to or not. Like the OG commenter said it's mostly consumerism collecting. Some do that with clothes and others with stationary.
I never understand in the first place why people even think that having stationary makes you successful. I mean those videos are meant for motivation i have never seen one person say that you need it for being successful. I am just wondering since it was always obvious for me. Maybe the people who started watching that were much younger than me or something.
A tip from a class topper:
I'm like any ordinary kid in the class, I too play and enjoy like them but what the difference between me and the other kids are... Well I honestly enjoy studying and taking aesthetic notes, but that doesn't mean my desk is clean and organised and stuffs. Because tbh I don't even have a room, I sleep with my parents, 3 months later I will get a room but the room itself doesn't have any organising system like a shelf, drawer, cupboard or anything. So my main tip is that: Please don't stress yourself, study the notes/ chapter/ lesson when the teacher finished explaining it. Don't wait for the last minute to do anything, that could lead to tension, drama and stress. Trust me I had the experience of studying at the last minute and the whole night I was just crying and crying. The next day I wrote what I knew and came back home with a very frown face... Also parents can sometimes give you stress as well because my parents almost all the time pressure us. And if you can study or focus more by listening to music or something, do it. Nobody will ever stop you, if you parents says so, just don't care much. Don't memorise the notes understand them. It will make a great difference. Some kids like highlighting the important topics in the lesson/chapter, you can do it any way you like.
Again don't stress over yourself because I know a lot of kids don't have the supplies that the people have in this video but its completely normal cuz in my house I have a broken laptop and a broken phone. I use that to study. I'm actually proud to write this. If you can follow a routine or a timetable that would also improve you greatly.
