I was homeless on and off for years, it’s something that shifts all the things that make you who you are, to have nowhere to go and nowhere to be.
To have nothing safe or sacred is a position amiss humanity that cannot be described. The shackles of language will not allow it. and most don’t make it out.

It will take a lot more than that. What about the dignity of our society that allows this to happen? The human condition is a rough one. Maybe he chooses to abstain from the "rat race", and pays the social and economic price. It could be something else of course (loss, addiction etc) but it comes down to not having a society that is equipped or willing to help healing become possible

I help a few homeless in London and mental illness (that’s only my opinion as I’m not a mental health worker) or unusual behaviour is quite common. It’s hard to tell if they were like that before and that is why they became homeless or it was caused by them sleeping rough. It’s a hard life on the streets especially during the winter. The only positive is there are plenty of people that give them food and thanks to being in the city there are a few places that let them wash themselves and their clothes.

Years ago a man walked into my old home town wanting a haircut in the salon where I worked, he scared the girls with his wild appearance, long hair and big bushy beard and old fatigues so I volunteered to cut his hair and beard and talked to him for awhile. To this day I feel honored to have met this man, he just couldn't live in society like us since he'd returned from war years previous, so he lived in the mountains, alone, he was a brilliant man, he would come out once a year and get cleaned up so he could bring the books he'd written to his publisher, he was an absolutely beautiful man underneath all that hair with beautiful blue eyes, a very kind but tortured soul, I often wonder what became of him, some never recover from whatever hell they've endured. I hope this man finds peace. I see lots of videos of people helping others and I am glad they are helping. Give to those truly in need when you can, even when no one's looking. 🙏

The ultimate act of kindness was that Jesus Christ, willfully, knowingly, humbly and lovingly stepped down from his exalted throne in Heaven, came to earth to be born of a poor family in a nation defeated and occupied by enemy forces. He was misunderstood and gossiped about. They even lied about him although he healed the sick, raised the dead, fed the poor, and loved everyone. Finally he took all our sins upon him and died for us, although he could have called on the angels to come set him free. He endured to the end of the most painful suffering because he loves us. He died for us. He arose for us. And do you know what he is doing right now? He is sitting at Heavenly Father, right now, interceding for us. This has been going on for centuries and will continue until he comes back to earth to receive those left on earth who love him - and take them with him to Heaven. Yes, love and serve the homeless, but remember to tell them that they truly do have a home - in Heaven.

God is good! He agreed to this wonderful transformation, and that's a good thing! Looks like he went from 65 to 45 years of age. Now keep it up young man! God bless you!

@Dr. Pyssinshytz , God doesn't "do this to people" . We were given FREE WILL by God. And because of it we - MYSELF INCLUDED - make bad and poor choices. When it goes sideways because we would rather 'do it our way' or like our way better or just decide not to listen to God BAD THINGS CAN AND WILL HAPPEN. I also believe BAD things can happen to GOOD people . They are under attack, but that's a whole different discussion.
God bless you and yours and I pray you have a wonderful day 🙏

Poor gentleman was so nervous and anxious - but however you treated him the fellow calmed down and seemed to decide you were on his side. May I just say i think the gentleman looks so good. I hope he finds more kind people to help him up.

You can visibly see him become less tense and more relaxed as the haircut goes on. You gave this man something he hasn’t had in so long pride in himself. Seeing him smile once he sees himself made my day!

He was worried about people being close. Touching him. Self conscious about his scent. And hoping this haircut can change his life. I know this, I was in his shoes too. Bless you brother, I pray you find a path like I did. Love to you

He looks like he's recently bathed and has clean clothes. He seems to have anxiety. Maybe he's preparing to see the person he once was on the outside but never stopped being on the inside. All the while, replaying the events of his life's journey that lead him to that very chair.

@@nunyamarie9044 this. But not the person he still is, this was the person that led him to where he is. This is a confrontation with the him that he no longer is so he become new. Hopefully that didn't sound too convoluted. But I've been there before in the chair wondering if I'd recognize my old self. He was gone.
