  • In this video I show you a scenic but tough 10 mile hike up Beinn na h-Uamha, a Corbett in the stunning but less frequented area of Ardgour. A short ferry trip takes you to a quiet but stunning corner of Scotland, Ardgour. It feels like you're on a Scottish Island!

    Loving the cinematic style Robin 😀Yeah, those mics are easy to knock off and lose. Get yourself a loop of paracord, lark's foot it around the mic and pop it over your head. That way you can quickly clip it back on when you change layers 👍

    Nice part of the world, footage going up in the quality department Robin good effort man...shoe perb boshe. Great tip on microphone although don't mind holding the mic as loads of popular UA-camrs do it. My only advice is oil your bike brake mechanism lol

    Nice to see you back out, Robin. Ardgour is so unspoilt, isn't it? I got the once a day bus from Fort William to Kilchoan Ferry (for Tobermory) a couple of summers ago , and it's like being back in time, with the tiny communities of Strontian and Acharacle - where it makes a scheduled 15-minute stop for toilets, tea and/or ice cream - at one of those huge, sell-everything general stores that wouldn't have looked at all out of place on Little House on the Prairie! After that the road narrows and takes on the full appearance of a white-knuckle ride for the rest of the way, leaving you at the metropolis that is the two-shelter, one-building ferry terminal; while it heads back up the road and into Kilchoan proper - and maybe Ardnamuchan too! Definitely to be recommended as the best route to Mull!

    • @WalkWithWallace
      @WalkWithWallace  6 місяців тому +1

      Totally agree, we stayed at Strontian a few years ago for hogmanay. Visited Castle Tioram and spotted 2 golden eagles, a white tailed eagle and several buzzards. Used the Mull ferry once before, you forget about that service a lot of the time.
