Thanks for sharing your story! As a nurse I love when doctors have hospital experience prior to becoming a doctor. You’re going to make an excellent doctor! Congrats!
Hi Chinakwu, thanks for this info, please keep them coming. I wanted to ask if you knew about medical schools choosing their province residents for admission before you applied to Nova Scotia? If not would that have influenced your university application choice?
Hello :) I initially planned to, but because of how busy medical school was and the time commitment needed during medical school to be successful, I never ended up working as a nurse while in med school.

Hello. Thank you for that video. It's a very encouraging video. Please where have you done your nurse Training? In Canada?? And how have you found your work as nurse in a hospital in USA?
Ur story was so inspiring pls I have a question Firstly must I have a pre medical degree like bsc biology, microbiology or RN nursing before I can study medicine in USA or Canada and secondly if so can I use my bsc microbiology or RN nursing certificate gotten from a Nigeria university or polytechnic to study in a medical school in USA or Canada please I need an answer because I’m so confused thank you doctor Charles❤️🙏
Hello, thank you very much! No you don’t need a pre-medical degree before applying to medical school in USA or Canada. Any degree is okay as long as it’s from a university (polytechnic doesn’t count). However, regardless of your degree, you need to have university credits in the pre-medical requirements courses which include courses like biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics (every school has unique pre-reqs, but these are the 4 most common pre-req courses). Then you also need to have taken the MCAT exam and passed. If you’re applying from Nigeria, you’ll also need all the other requirements asked from international applicants like TOEFL etc I hope this helps!
@@chinakwu wow thanks so much I have the pre med credit such as physics, biology and chemistry already I don’t think I’m applying from Nigeria but thanks I’m grateful🙏more wisdom sir
