Thank you chief, I have been searching for video that explain this for sometimes now. I'm a Nigerian Registered Nurse who also hold a Bachelor Degree in Nursing. I will like you to be my mentor and also welcome any opportunity to have a direct conversation with you. I have a convincing interest to pursue medicine in the US.
Pls, can a general nurse also become a medical doctor

@@USMLEBOOSTER like if I were to ask you; as RN how long did you work as An RN and how did you manage to pay fee during med school as well as cater for your bills
@@ezekiel5273These are one of the clarification I needed
Do you have to do residency if you come from Africa and you already have an MBCHB degree but want to work in the USA a a medical doctor.. when applying for your practicing license that side
Even if you the chief of medicine in uk you will have to apply for residency
@@USMLEBOOSTER thank you for your reply
Hello sir,you didn't talk about an RN with a Diploma... Which route do we take
I think you need a degree in nursing first.
Sir diploma degree nurses can apply for doctor and how much cost and experience in rn
Depends
I am also a BSN RN, I am studying for step 2 ck, do they consider the nursing experience as usce when applying for the match?
If you working in USA yes it can back you up.
But that doesn’t mean don’t do actual USCE as a doctor. Good luck to you
@@USMLEBOOSTER thank you brother. Yes, I am getting actual USCE for 3 months before the match.
@@USMLEBOOSTER Yes I worked in the USA but only in the nursing home.
you are very inspiring. thank you. So as an RN with no BSN, what are the steps of getting into medical school. Thanks in advance.
I'm in the same boat as a RN, except I'm almost finished with my Bachelor's of Biology.
My advice: do a bachelor's in Biology and take as long as you need; get A's and some B's. I would NOT do a BSN. here's why: MCAT topics are Biochem, physics, Organic Chemistry, and very complex sciences in which a BSN would not serve to help in any way or even study for MCAT - most DO schools require these Biology classes anyway, in which you would be going for a second bachelor's. You would have to learn Physics, Biochem, Organic Chem, etc and have no background and take a test to get into med school based on these subjects, so do a bachelor's in Bio. Get every nursing certification in your field. Start studying for the MCAT NOW. it takes a year to study and since we are non-traditional applicants, they care more about our MCAT scores for applying to med school. Get as many shadowing hours as you can of Doctors in the field you want to be in, and related fields. Maximize your accomplishments as a nurse, lean into that on interviews.
I want to become a Pathologist and am contacting my local pathologists for shadowing opportunities.
I wish you the best!
hi sir
👍
So, bro you were a nurse in Ghana and you went to medical school in the USA?

Pls, can a general nurse also become a medical doctor
