Thank you for an easy block. I like that it makes two at a time. I am catching up with you since I started late in the year. My blocks are turning out gorgeous. I am using a large fat quarter bundle of French General Petites Maisons De Noel (Christmas fabric.) My Electric fan block comes to 12 1/2 inches. If I trim to 12 inches, I will lose the points when it is sewed to the other blocks. Please advise. Thank you.
Hi Nancy. You can trim 1/4" all the way around the 4 outside edges of the block and it will still form a 90 degree angle. Does that make sense? When I lay a square template with a 1/4" line at the edge of the block, I still have a 90 degree angle even though I trimmed some of the block edge away. I line it up with the diagonal line.
