Easy Bowl Cozie
Hello Friends! I know it's been quite a while since I've posted a video, but life has been a bit hectic of late. I mention in a prior video that my husband and I were facing a large move and that has finally taken place. With that behind us, we're now in the process of getting our new life started.
This video contains instructions on how to create an easy project that has unlimited potential! Whether we want to admit it or not, the holidays are inching ever closer. A bowl cozie is a great way to make gifts that can be used all year long. Whether you're looking to keep a food or drink item hot or cold, a cozie is a great option. Also, don't forget to look for holiday fabric to personalize these gifts!
Thanks so much for your continued support. Till next time, Brenda.

Scrap Buster Potato Chip Block

Hello friends, today I'm going to share a real scrap buster project. If you've either purchased or have been given a bunch of material, or perhaps you donate quilts to a worthy cause, give this block a try. It will really help eliminate some of that excess material pretty quick. Also, if you're learning how to QAYG, this is a great block to start on. Hope you try it soon and let me know in the ...
Tossed Nine Patch QAYG
Переглядів 3854 місяці тому
Hello Friends, as you may know I've been practicing QAYG on my new Baby Lock sewing machine; and have recently completed a beginner friendly tossed nine patch that can be sized to an individual's needs. I got a nice sized throw out of one layer cake and some really nice accent fabric. I'm still fairly new at QAYG, but practice makes perfect! If you haven't attempted QAYG yet, don't be afraid to...

Kentucky Fall Quilt

Hello everyone, our project today is a pattern that I have been wanting to try for a while now, only mix it up and make it my own. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line and as always, thanks for watching!

I came upon this video a month ago, ordered some handkerchiefs and have 10 dresses made and ready to add some extras on them. It took me weeks to get the hang of the bodice, reminded me of paper origami, but I finally got it. I am making one each for my granddaughters. I saw several other videos on making this dress, yours is the best as the close up you have and pointing out important details of how, thank you so much. In Joy

Thank you so much for the lovely compliment! That is exciting that you are doing these for your grandchildren. I understand the trying to get the hang of the top of the dress. When I made mine there was virtually nothing on the internet and I did follow a paper origami to make the dress with my hankie. My husband shoots the videos and does a great job in my opinion. I appreciate you watching and also giving me a comment. I hope to have more videos soon.

Janet, thank you for watching and commenting on my video. I am bit sure why you would not have been notified when the video was put out? I am not a computer techy person. This is the first time that I have used a product like Minky on the back of a quilt and I did not have any issues with it bunching up or anything. I have a Baby Lock Jazz II machine and am just learning to quilt my own quilts on it. I am not familiar with a Juki Machine. I do watch a girl named Tracy and she has a Juki machine. She has used Minky on the back of her quilts. Her UA-cam is The Sewing Channel. She may be able to answer your question. Again, thank you for being a subscriber to my channel.

Yes, I am sure you could just use fabric instead. It was just a memorable way to use something from the past in an era gone by. Hankies were used by so many people at time when disposable was not an option. I loved how my grandmother's generation made ways to reuse so many items. Let me know how the fabric dresses work out for you. Thanks for watching my video. I appreciate it.

Hi Brenda! Do you have a tutorial for the quilt behind you in your scrappy purse video? Great stuff.. love your videos!!

Renee, I do not have a tutorial on that quilt. I saw it on "Jordan Fabrics". The pattern is by Fig Tree & Co and is called Hazel & Blooms. I do love it, it was quite tedious to put together, almost like a puzzle, one row led to the next row and so on. If Jordan Fabrics doesn't have the pattern anymore, I would think you could try the pattern company. Thank you for watching my videos and commenting.

Thanks for your video, and for providing the PDF. I don’t have Civil War fabrics, but I also think this quilt will look great in lots of different fabric.
