I feel like when you get a skin tint, you should know it most likely won’t have a ton of coverage. It’s unfair to review a product without considering what the company says the product will do. If it says it’s light coverage and you expect full coverage, that’s your own fault for setting unrealistic expectations
exactly! This is a skin tint, not foundation. Skin tint is nice and light. Summer fridays one does what it says. If you want more coverage, use a foundation.
i think though it’s not a point in that skin tint favour if it isn’t buildable, it’s a point loss for it to be light coverage with no other options. the versatility of another medium skin tint that can be sheered out, or built up, should get higher in my opinion. i think rating it against the products marketing is definitely important for a really objective view, but what i said above is something i appreciate seeing in a youtube video, because it adds that subjectiveness, which can be good with really really similar products
I was shocked to see Tower 28 at the bottom. It works great on my oily skin. It just goes to show that makeup just like skincare gives different results to different skin types regardless of all the claims and reviews out there.
I Loved this video…skin tints are my preference for sure. Especially in the summer. Bare minerals fab classic! The one I’ve been loving all summer has been Tarte Maracuja Tinted Hydrater…so effortless! And recently fell in love with Kjaer Weiss The Beautiful Tint. It gives the most beautiful illumination to the skin without being shiny. Almost like HG Ambient lighting powders in a creamy liquid formula.
I’d love to see you use/try the Laura Mercier Skin Tint again. I know that’s as one of your faves and now it’s one of my faves. It’s just so reliable, wears well throughout the day, and works well with other products. Cant wait to try some of these skin tints when I use up some of mine!
I pulled out the Beauty Blender skin tint after I watched this. I used it a lot when I got it and liked it, then somehow moved onto other things. I've been wearing it everyday for the last few days and I love it! I'm so glad to have it back in my rotation.
I love love love these ranking videos!! You have no idea how helpful this is, as someone with very dry skin let me tell you your beauty advices helped me beyond words ❤️❤️
I liked how you did some research on consumers reviews of the product and how it compares to your experience and I also loved how you included your shade. It was a nice addition. great for reference. Awesome Job on this video.
Thank you! Complexion Rescue has been my holy grail for years. I have not found anything better. Im 45, normal to dry skin. It leaves a very luminous finish. Doesn't break up, has sunscreen, I love it.
I love the tower 28 especially on my dry skin days. I agree with you on the beauty blender skin tint . I prep my skin with a more hydrating moisturizer or sunscreen on the days I wear that one. Ilia did not work for me at all. It was patchy and pretty much disappeared after a couple of.
Love the new Chanel complexion touch, worked so well for me. The Radiene skin tint is beautiful on the skin. Also the nars tinted moisturizer is always my go to 💕
Hi Jamie , I would like to ask a question , I only just found your channel and I want to ask about a foundation you spoke about in a previous vid . It is the Milani screen goddess foundation , I have tried to find this as it sounds like it would work and is within my budget , but I cannot find it anywhere , I’m retired now and on a fixed income so ,the higher end foundations as sud,y out of my reach , I realise the vid was old approx. 2 yrs . Old , but I can find no trace of it , even on internet perhaps I got it wrong or the wrong name maybe , could you advise please or if no longer available a comparable product is there is one . I enjoy your videos greatly as you are looking at a very specific , skin type and that is one I struggle with , I hope you read this ,and are able to answer your knowledge is Clearly very good in this area thank you for your videos and research 💗
I LOVE that you put your shade name and the price point for each of the products on screen! This is the first video I've watched from yours, and your expertise jumps off the screen! I hit the subscribe button and am looking forward to checking out more of your content! 😊 A cherry on top is that it seems we might be able to use the same foundation shades, so your reviews are going to be SUPER helpful for me. I'm the same shade as you for Tower 28 SunnyDays (that also clung to my dry patches, and worse, I'm one of the unlucky few to have it oxidize on me). And I noticed we use the same shade in your Born This Way foundation review as well. Huzzah! Keep up the great work-these ranking videos are fun!
I have to agree on the bareMinerals one. I started out with it as my introduction to makeup and it is such a nice one to throw on when you don't feel like putting on a foundation.
I love that you do this ! Girl concealers please do a update on concealers with all the new drops it’s hard to know what’s what an what’s not! Love your channel btw
i think it’s so interesting the Tower28 foundation didn’t work for your dry skin, bc it was the only foundation that worked for me when i was on Accutane for the last year! I went from having oily skin when living in Virginia to having dry, cracked, and flakey skin when I 1. started accutane and 2. moved to Colorado, and that Tower28 foundation was my saving grace when i needed to even out my base!
ahhh thats awesome! totally just shows how personal base products can be! its always so interesting to hear how different products work wildly different for everyone ❤❤
I have an oily/combo skin type and that Ilia skin tint is great for me! I set it with Kosas Cloud Set and the finish is lovely and not too greasy. Agreed the packaging sucks for travel (got to close it very tightly), and you have to be so careful using it daily to not make a mess. I’m excited to try a couple more of these when I’m done with that one 👍🏻♥️
I’ve been using the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue for a couple of months now and I love it! I have mature skin so foundations don’t look good on me anymore. The Bare Minerals looks amazing and people compliment my skin ❤
The BareMinerals Tinted Moisturizer is so underrated - I much prefer tinted moisturizers to foundations and this one has been a favorite for so long. It’s so good. I have the original Waterfresh Tint from Chanel, which I love for no makeup-makeup days. I want to try the new one after I’m done with this one. Chanel used to have a skin tint from Les Beiges collection that is sadly discontinued and it was amazing. So I’m hoping the new one gives off the same vibes. I also have the Rare Beauty skin tint, but haven’t tried it out yet (I’ve heard good things). Thanks for the video!
Idk if Summer Friday's skin tint has any SPF (it doesn't seem so by the title) but for something very light coverage, I prefer to use a tinted sunscreen as it's counterproductive to put SPF first then a tint if it has very little coverage.
Tower 28's SunnyDays definitely clung to my dry patches and was very shiny elsewhere. It also oxidized super badly on me, which doesn't seem to be the norm. Just my luck! 😅 The company is great, and the product seems to work wonderfully for most people, just not me.
Hi! I am new to your channel today, and this video was fantastic! I love the detailed reviews and all the information that you covered. You covered price, you covered price per ounce, you covered comparisons with other similar products, you covered what you liked and didn’t like… exactly review I look for. I am a new subscriber!
This video is just in time for 2 reasons - 1, I was just researching skin tints in your videos because I am looking for what is a good option for my first ever complexion product/ skin tint - and 2, I was literally re-watching all of your ranking videos bc the information and quality is just A+++
the chanel les beiges foundation has been a recent find of mine and I cant live without it! I have very dry skin, especially as the weather gets colder and the channel foundation never clings to any dry patches and doesn't go cakey or crusty on my skin either! I work in the beauty industry and that foundation is one that I get the most compliments on. Also didn't have very good luck with the tower28 tinted moisturizer either!
You mentioned under painting in this video, and it would be created to see you do a video showing that technique in action. I think it could be a great tool, but I’m always nervous to do it myself, so seeing different people do it in a video is helpful.
Complexion Rescue is seriously underrated. Been using it for years, and it never lets me down. The packaging isn’t “sexy” but man, it is long wearing, comfortable, and not insanely priced.
Tower28 didn’t work on my face either and I was really expecting it to since it’s supposed to be safe for eczema-prone skin. My favorite that I always go back to is the Smashbox Halo Tinted Serum. I highly recommend!
i used to use complexion rescue but its one of those products that kind of sit on my skin and would break up by the end of the day. their shade range was also lacking for us super fair girls
So glad i found you long ago cause i have the same skin type as you and everything you recommend works for me so it takes some of the fuss out in finding products for me.
I love the Tower28 and Rose Inc one! Those two I would definitely repurchase again and again. Unfortunately, the Saie one looks like a greasy mess on my skin :(
Looove the vid! Skin tints are my kind of thing so looking forward to the next vid of this kind! Have u ever tried the L’oréal tinted serum? It’s pretty new and I would love to know your opinion on it! 🫶🏻🤍
Great review Jamie. I just found and love the Beauty Blender Bounce, it works for my combo skin perfectly. I too used the Saie Slip Tint most of the summer. Really love it as well. For me it’s not that shiny.
This was really great and you totally nailed it. I really want to buy the Chanel one now. Also one that I absolutely love which is not mentioned, is the La Roche Posay mineral one, a spectacular product which I’ve been reaching for but really hard to buy in Australia. Xx
I have loved the NARS tinted moisturizer for years but recently found I love it even more if I add a little bit of the Tula filter primer you reviewed (the one with the slight tint). I’m not sure what it is but the blend is really wonderful! (I would guess the ratio I use is roughly 3:1 NARS:Tula. I think I’m going to try to get a sample of the Beauty Blender!! Thanks for a great roundup!! ❤
I have oily combo skin and adore the beauty blender skin tint. I do use a matte primer and setting powder but i use that with everything. Its my current daily go to complextion product and i can see it being that way for mid fall-mid spring for where i live. Ill eventually need to use something more matte or blend it into a high coverage foundation i already own since im starting to prefer light to medium coverage rather than full..
I’m so obsessed with skin tints right now! Out of the ones in this video, I’ve been loving the Rose Inc and Summer Fridays as true skin tints. I also enjoy the Tower 28, but it leans more into the foundation realm for me. The Ilia looks nice, but I really can’t get past the scent. I’m eyeing the Iconic London one next.
I actually love the Tower 28 one but I definitely don't have dry skin. (Combo skin type) Hands down though, Ilia is my top fave, I'm unbothered by the scent. I've never been disappointed. (Except for their mascara, I'm a big fan of the Tower 28 mascara, it's epic)
The Tower 28 one is like my favorite of this whole bunch!!! Def should be at LEAST a category up. Didn't work for you, but very clearly is working for a lot of people in the comments.
I used the BM over the CT flawless filter, on most days that combo is my go to. It holds up very well in the Dallas summer heat and don’t dry me out in the winter that combo is 🤌🏼🫶🏼
Great colors on you today - both the tank and the lippy! ❤️💜💗 I may try the Beauty Blender Bounce and save a few bucks by not getting the Chanel. Saie didn’t work for me for the exact reasons you gave, but I get compliments on my skin everytime I wear it!
I love the Complexion Rescue! I like it better than the NARS. The NARS was ok, but not as hydrating for me. I’ve gone through many tubes of the CR. I recently tried a sample of the Tower 28, and really liked it. Was contemplating purchasing it. Color was spot on, and I found it to be hydrating. I have really dry skin. I need to try the new Chanel tint. I have the water fresh tint, and it’s just ok. I’m almost finished with it, but won’t repurchase. I’m curious about the Saie one
Love to get your opinion on the new Westman Atelier skin tint drops. I've been pretty impressed with their products so far...but I need help before taking the $88 plunge! I just repurchased Luminous Silk for the first time in like a decade and sheering it out with Embryolisse and applying just a few dots and blending with fingers is a good options for me too :)
One thing I would add for the Bare Minerals is that it's a bit too radiant and oily for those that have oily to combo skin. According to your review I can see why you chose Bare Minerals to be the holy grail. I think it should be holy grail for dry skin types. Overall good product, I just cant wear it since I have combo skin.
First of all, THANK YOU SOO MUCH for this second skin tint tier list, it’s been so so needed!!! And second, THAT LIP COLOR ON YOU IN UNREAL GORGEOUS!! What’s the shade??
I feel like when you get a skin tint, you should know it most likely won’t have a ton of coverage. It’s unfair to review a product without considering what the company says the product will do. Agree! Light coverage is actually the main point of a skin tint as far as I'm concerned, a full coverage skin tint doesn't sound quite right does it 😂
I was shocked to see Tower 28 at the bottom. It works great on my oily skin. It just goes to show that makeup just like skincare gives different results to different skin types regardless of all the claims and reviews out there.
would love to see a review on the Rare Beauty skin tint! Love these videos so much, makes purchasing a lot easier 🥲
i actually have it in the wrong shade hahah i need to get around to getting the correct shade so that i can properly try it out lol!!
@@JamiePaige I'd like to see that and the Kosas Oil tint in your rankings
I Loved this video…skin tints are my preference for sure. Especially in the summer. Bare minerals fab classic! I love that Tarte maracuja tinted hydrator! It's so good!

Same here. Right now on QVC its 2 for the price of 1.
I’d love to see you use/try the Laura Mercier Skin Tint again. I know that’s as one of your faves and now it’s one of my faves. It’s just so reliable, wears well throughout the day, and works well with other products. Cant wait to try some of these skin tints when I use up some of mine!
Chanel does such a beautiful job with their foundation formulas!
I pulled out the Beauty Blender skin tint after I watched this. I used it a lot when I got it and liked it, then somehow moved onto other things. I've been wearing it everyday for the last few days and I love it! I'm so glad to have it back in my rotation.

Jamie you look so stunning, love the berry lip on you, and your new background looks amazing! 💜
The Chanel one is so enticing. But I think I like the Nars one the most because of the value and the shade range. Thank you, Jamie!
I liked how you did some research on consumers reviews of the product and how it compares to your experience and I also loved how you included your shade. It was a nice addition. great for reference. Awesome Job on this video.

It’s Nars, it’s written in the description box :)
Nars Warm Leatherette

I loooove the bareminerals tinted moisturizer, it's my go-to complexion product! Always makes my skin look great
Yes! It’s nice to see youtubers bring out some old goodies. Love my bare minerals as well :)
Love this! You look so much like Millie Bobby Brown to me!! Can we have a drugstore version of this 😅
I just got the beautyblender bounce and I absolutely love it even on my oily skin, it doesn't separate or anything. So good.
The Wetnwild Hydra Tint is so beautiful! And mixed with the Fenty Eaze Drops it lasts all day. It gives that glazed skin look.
Support that, so good!
The lip color absolutely brightens your skin tone! You look stunning!

I have dry sensitive skin and for me I have the same issues as Jamie with it. Try mac face and body it’s excellent
I also find it sooo dry I look like a reptile with it on🥲
I have dry skin and I'm 41 so I have fine lines and tower 28 is my favorite!!!! I also love Mac face and body.
I have very dry skin and the Tower28 tint is my favorite tint! Strange how a product can work so differently on similar skin types.
I love that you include the little foundation shade range card instead of just saying how many shades there are!
I would love to see you do a ranking on glossy balms/ lip oils! Please and thank you🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I have an oily/combo skin type and that Ilia skin tint is great for me! I set it with Kosas Cloud Set and the finish is lovely and not too greasy. Jamie I am so in love with your makeup, hair and outfit in this video! Like wow... This might be my favourite Jamie look...ever!
Hi Jamie! You should really try the Nabla Skin Realist, it's probably my fave skin tint ever!
The beauty blender one is my go to holy grail yes girl!

I agree with the tower 28 clinging to fry patches! It was so hyped for dry skin but didn’t work for me for that reason too
Tower 28's SunnyDays definitely clung to my dry patches and was very shiny elsewhere. It also oxidized super badly on me, which doesn't seem to be the norm. Just my luck! 😅 The company is great, and the product seems to work wonderfully for most people, just not me.

Beauty blender skin tint is SO good. I retired all my foundations and only use this. It makes my skin look so healthy.
Hello Michelle
I also love the bare minerals one! It’s so nice!
This is soo helpful! I love that you use fewer categories in this video. Thank you!!
Girlie I NEEDED this video so bad!!! THANK YOU!!!!
And if you want something slightly less dewy, go for the complexion rescue stick! Also great!
totally agree with you!!
@@rosannadanna1802 really? This is so great to know! I JUST switched to this and am happy so far!!
That’s interesting as I hate bare minerals complexion rescue. Not one for me I’m afraid. I’ll stick to summer Fridays
Complexion Rescue is my holy grail.
How beautiful your makeup and the lip color I loved!!! Thanks for the video and the wonderful editing.
I live in the Caribbean and the beauty blender skin tint works reallyyyyy well even in the heat.
Same - also it seems to enhance even lines I didn't know I had 😂
So glad i found you long ago cause i have the same skin type as you and everything you recommend works for me so it takes some of the fuss out in finding products for me.
I really love your videos and this particular kind. I do appreciate the slimmed down categories! I bought the saie skin tint and love it!
I love the Tower28 and Rose Inc one! Those two I would definitely repurchase again and again. Unfortunately, the Saie one looks like a greasy mess on my skin :(
Love finding a Canadian channel. Really enjoyed the clear consice way you broke these down. Including Canadian prices!!!
Looove the vid! Skin tints are my kind of thing so looking forward to the next vid of this kind! Have u ever tried the L’oréal tinted serum? It’s pretty new and I would love to know your opinion on it! 🫶🏻🤍
I love these videos 💚! Not sure if you have enough in this category but would love a cream eyeshadow video! I've been really into them lately 🤭
Great review Jamie. I just found and love the Beauty Blender Bounce, it works for my combo skin perfectly. I too used the Saie Slip Tint most of the summer. Really love it as well. For me it’s not that shiny.
The was the video I needed!! I'd love to see a ranking new concealers next
I was thinking of the Bare Minerals tinted moisturizer lately and thought of adding it to my cart so i was shocked when you actually mentioned it lol
Kosas tinted oil….my fave. I mix in Nyx serum concealer if I want more coverage 🤩
Jamie, love your makeup in this video! Can you share what lipstick you’re wearing? Very fall-esque! 🍁
This was really great and you totally nailed it. I really want to buy the Chanel one now. Also one that I absolutely love which is not mentioned, is the La Roche Posay mineral one, a spectacular product which I’ve been reaching for but really hard to buy in Australia. Xx
i literally just ordered the beautyblender tint! i hope i don’t regret it lol
I love the fenty ease drop with a moisturizer underneath! Might try the caliray then!
Man, beautiful makeup today!!! That lip color! 😍
I adore these videos so so much thank you for sharing!!!
Hi Nasia
Would love to see you review more affordable products 😅

I love Nars and Bare Minerals!! You NEED to try Typology Skin Tint & Clarins Skin Illusion
I love the beauty blender one!! It looks super natural and the shade match for me is perfect
its fabbbbb
Love your lip color...what is it? Very beautiful and suits your coloring. Thanks Jamie.
Hey Amy
Enjoyed this so much and agreed with you on the ones I have tried! Although the Ilia smells amazing to me, like cinnamon for some weird reason 😅
Thank you for always including your shade!!

Hey! I came across your comment form 2 years ago and I’m wondering if you ever tried tower 28? Did you like it better than BM complexion rescue?
Loved the details to the point video getting some of these !🎉
Love to get your opinion on the new Westman Atelier skin tint drops. I've been pretty impressed with their products so far...but I need help before taking the $88 plunge! I just repurchased Luminous Silk for the first time in like a decade and sheering it out with Embryolisse and applying just a few dots and blending with fingers is a good options for me too :)
Yes, bareminerals tinted moisturizer is my holy grail for years. I dont know what I would do without it, seriousely. ❤
Also, You are one of the rare beauty person that I trust. Simply cause everything I like, you like too…mostly;-). Thanks for all the work.
Totally agree with you on Bareminerals Complexion Rescue, it’s sooooo good!!
Love your hair! Could you do a tutorial for that style? I have similar hair to yours and would love to have mine styled that way!
Great reviews! I might have to break down and try the Chanel. Is there a mineral sunscreen you like under the Chanel and the Beauty Blender?
What brush did you apply the beauty blender with? Looks amazing
Skin tints are the one product I truly cant live without
First of all, THANK YOU SOO MUCH for this second skin tint tier list, it’s been so so needed!!! And second, THAT LIP COLOR ON YOU IN UNREAL GORGEOUS!! What’s the shade??

Hey Olivia
Hey Jaime, have you tried the Rare Beauty Tinted Moisturizer? If so, where would you rank it?
Hi Jamie, will you ever do a follow up on your nose surgery? I find that video very helpful and informative ❤❤❤
