He had several songs that made it top 100. I went to high school with him. He didn't sing then. He was very shy. He's very talented. He continues to release C.D.s.
say hello to him, he is a golden voice, wow
Please say to him that I terribly miss his musics and his presence 😭😭❤️
He so handsome 🥰
Okay two things, one: I had no clue he was white. And two: his vibrato is beyond beautiful
how does he not look white to you
He was from American Idol though.
@scracer24c oh wow I didnt know that about his hearing. That's amazing!
@@cephalonrolli5678 probably referring to the fact that she only heard the song so never saw him
Ooh, I loved Elliott Yamin on American Idol. I bought his cd, as well. He's so good, and partially deaf, too, which makes him even more impressive.
LOVE THIA SONG!!!!!! HE SHOULD'VE WON AMERICAN IDOL!!! TALENTED!
This dude had it all. Underrated man. Dope reaction. His vocals are crazy, wouldn’t be able to tell he was white. Him and JC Chasez got that ‘octave’ soul.
One hit wonder
Israeli Jew/American lol
Yes everyone thought this dude was black at first. Except I watched Idol when he was on so I knew but my ears didn't believe it😂😂 his voice is exceptional!
Amazing fact about him is he is deaf in one ear so music was a way for him to strengthen his sense of hearing. God blesses us in His own special ways.
I bought this cat’s album because of this song. He did not the recognition he deserved. SANG ELLIOTT. SAAAANG!
Elliott is in my top 3 fav Idols. He was such a nice guy and could sing! I loved his relationship with his Mom.
Oh my word!! I DO remember his name. I have also heard this song about 1000 times and I've loved it since the first time. I just had no clue it was him!! Great job/GREAT SONG!!
Thanks for sharing. Never heard of him but maaaan...I love it a lot, I mean a lot and thank you for sharing. I'm a fan already
Fan since I first saw him on Idol. Best voice I’ve ever heard!!! He can make you tear up every time he sings the SSB, which he does often at various professional games and other events.
My favorite is from his first album You Are the One!
Played the hell outta this song back then! Woooo it's been 9 years!
I still play.
Hey, MRM! To me, Elliott has one of the best voices I've ever heard and he's my favorite singer to ever come from Idol. Thanks for this reaction!
Word. This song never gets old to me.
He had an amazing run on AI. You really couldn't help but root for this unassuming talent and contestant. I'm beyond happy for Elliot! He covered Stevie, Donnie Hathaway, Elvis while competing and won over not the judges but the rest of us.
Awh I havnt herd this song in a lonnng time! Love it.
Elliot was one of my favorites. He was the underdog in a sense. I remember he was actually deaf in one of his ears or something along those lines. I liked hearing this song, but I hadn't heard from since.
Elliott!! His debut album was amazing
He was 3rd place on the 5th season of American Idol (he was robbed IMO) and has released four albums since then (+ one Xmas album). I like his 3rd album the most, but the first one is also good. Too bad he doesn't get supoport from media and radio. An interesting fact is that he's half deaf and also a Type 1 diabetic (he's a spokesman for the JDRF and ahas also been involved in many social causes and organizations like Malaria No more). Check him out. Some songs I like are:
- 1st album (Elliott Yamin): "Movin' On", "Train Wreck" and "I'm the Man" (also the bonus tracks "Believe", "I'm in Love With You Forever" and cover versions of "Sharing the Night Together" and "A Whiter Shade of Pale").
- 2nd album (Fight For Love): "Know Better", "You", "You Say", "How Do I Know", "This Step Alone", "Cold Heart" and "Someday" (dedicated to his mother who passed away).
- 3rd album (Let's Get to What's real): "Virginia", "Stay Away", "Self Control" and mainly most of it.
- 4th album (As Time Goes By): this is the one I like the least, but there's a good cover of "Let It Go" and a couple of average-good tracks.
Also the Xmas album (My Kind of Holiday - there's a rpevious version called My kind of Season, which is the same with less tracks) is pretty good as well.
Best comment ever hehehehehehe!!! I totally agree with you about the songs and the album. The third one is reeeeaaaaaaally great!!! I would also include "Someone like you" from the fourth album. He is simply awesome!!!😊😊😊
literally my same reaction...elliot had to be black cause I ain't met one white dude that sing like that. wish he still made more music, or there was still music like this out there
Yep
Ditto. I miss melodic heartfelt soul r&b on the radio & tv
My favorites from American Idol were:
A Song for You
Moody's Mood for Love
Ellliott had quite a makeover from his original audition.
Yes I remb the only comment I heard was a late nite talk show made fun of his teeth after someone redid them . It p*ssdd me off. Whoever did that did him no favors but he looks great today I just watched a UA-cam interview from a year ago he’s aged handsomely & his smile looks natural
That was a great song to end the night with!.
Fight for love is another one that was popular and it's really nice also! 😊
I have been following Elliott since his time on American Idol in 2006. I have every album he has put out even some of his Japan releases. His "My Kind of Holiday" album is one of my favorite Christmas albums. Oh btw he's Jewish- American. Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder are a few of his musical influences. Please check out his albums. He's currently singing with a funk band called Philthy. Philthy's "Party Crashers" album has Elliott's soulful voice all over it along with the awesome band. Another Awesome project. You have not experienced Elliott until you have seen him live. Which I have about 4 times. Oh one of my favorite videos is with him and Bobby Caldwell singing Bobby's "What You Want Do For Love". Please check it out. I could go on and on but I'll stop here ☺.
His father was Iraqi Jew his mom American Jew
My favorite Idol of all time.....look him up singing A Song for you....awesome video!
Heather Johnson my favorite also Elliot Yamin (sing it like Yamin it)
Never heard of this guys before. I like him, gonna be looking up more tunes from him!
Check him out on Idol here. Probably my favorite performance by him.

ua-cam.com/video/9DFFwzDQblg/v-deo.html
Please look up Elliott Yamin singing Spending the Night Together! SO good! And he's an excellent person too. He's half, I think it's a middle eastern country like Israel or Iran that his father is from. He has diabetes and is a sponsor, and does benefit concertsfor The National Junior Diabetes Foundation. Definitely listen to more of his work!🙂
My favorite Idol when I watched the show. Me and my late mother (rip mommy) would vote and vote for him!! His last name is pronounced like ya-mean. I got to meet him twice and he was so nice. I told him my catch phrase I came up for him when on AI.. it was
Na’mean it’s about Yamin and he loved it! lol
Oh Lordy! The flashbacks!!!❤️
Wow! I really liked him too and never heard of him either.
love this boy, what a Voice !! if i can dream, other song he did
He voice is just so amazing.
Woahhh uncle Elliot? I’m sending him this video😂you’re hilarious
I thought the Back Street Boys sang this. I remember hearing this years ago. The woman would demand my DJ to play this every night.
Matt Putzig it does remind me of backstreet boy kinda song right
Yeah I feel like if the Backstreet Boys sung this this would be AJ's SONG
I just picture AJ McLean singing this if Elliott had not sung this. AJ in his prime that is
Hey cool Channel and by the way Elliott is Jewish he is also my favorite singer. I know the lyrics to every single song of his and u say to leave u what songs I like ppshhh man Idk where to begin the list goes on but I have to start with down below and the first 4 songs have videos
You Say(my fave song by the way)
Fight for Love
3 words
One word
When I'm gone
Walk
Train wreck
Lets get to what's real
Known better
How do I know
Good outweigh the bad
Some newer songs are
What can I do right
As Time goes by
In My dreams
I had no idea he was from American Idol. (Google says he placed 3rd on the 5th season.) I remember hearing this song (one hit wonder, imo) on the radio when it came out. I honestly thought he wasn't white, lol. No means of offending, btw. But yeah, he's Jewish-American, I believe...but with a sound that's straight 'Quiet Storm on V103' (Atlanta's radio spot for great R&B)
Liz T Us Jews come in many flavors. I’m Puerto Rican but a Sephardic Jew. The man your taking about Efryam Elliot Yamin is Jewish as well But he is Mizrahi Jewish i.e. Iraq 🇮🇶.The dude has serious skills and here’s why the bro is 90% deaf in an ear carrying a tune would be a bit harder.
Thanks for reacting to his song sir godless you and your channel
He’s my favorite artist because his voice is sooo beautiful and pure.
Respect for letting your videos speak for you salute bro
The dude is badddd true singer
I was in Elliot's fan club called the E-Manics.. I went to his concerts and met hm a few times.. My all time fav from American Idol.. Soulful ...
I think he was season 4-5 It was the year with Katherine McPhee and Chris Daughtrey, none of which won lol
Taylor Hicks lol
5
🤣 '07 this song got my young freshman mind thinking about the love i didnt have yet
Favorite love song of them all
Ok I thought this was a black man the whole time until watching this reaction
I thought he was black too when I first heard it. Lol
Elliot still performs in clubs in LA and he goes to different cities also. We see him every year at South Jazz Club Philadelphia, he puts on a hell of a show. Hes still awsome , great really, hes alwayss backed wirh superb musicians.!
Elliott Yamin an all time fave for me. I don’t feel he was promoted at all after the show. He continues to do humanitarian work but as a vocalist for me he had potential to go so much further. He wasn’t the showiest guy he just sang from the heart & to me it was everything I want to hear & feel.
If u listen to moody mood for love it was also performed on the talent show. I just felt let down by what I thought should and could be a huge career. Idk why I don’t see him on tv when others got gigs & notarity. I love him for putting all that 2nd to his boots on the ground humanitarian behind the scenes efforts. May his voice find a way to so many hearts over a long fulfilling life.
Love this dude!
This song will live on. Never gets old.i remember I thought he was black. Not going to lie.
He should won all his Stevie songs were on point and that somebody to love was flawless.
Listen to Elliot Yamin, Can't Keep on Loving You (Feom a Distance).
Man can sing his ass off , awesome song!
look at season 5 all his performances are wonderful he can blow!
Movin' On was another excellent one from his debut album. He sang it on one of the late night shows.
say hello to him. I am fan of him for 13 yrs since this song came out during my childhood in the Philippines
If I'm remembering correctly, Elliott had some deafness in one of his ears. Not sure if it was partial of full, but in any case, rather remarkable that he has such a beautiful voice.
♥♥♥
last name pronounced Yah-meen. He's released 4 albums + 1 holiday album, plus he also is lead singer/co-songwriter of a funk group, Philthy, with a former member of Prince's New Power Generation. I wasn't a fan of his fourth album, but really like the 3rd and some gems on the 1st and 2nd. Some songs to check out:
"Let's Get to What's Real" ua-cam.com/video/QRPvbtU9XHQ/v-deo.html
"Know Better" ua-cam.com/video/cQzHPeXKh-k/v-deo.html
"Let Love Be" ua-cam.com/video/4-f6_DWR2Og/v-deo.html
"Thinkin' 'Bout You" ua-cam.com/video/3XFYYctdOk4/v-deo.html
"Self Control" ua-cam.com/video/RyLtxicgxQs/v-deo.html
And with Philthy:
"Freaky" ua-cam.com/video/NuyFhp4ibVo/v-deo.html
"Diamond in the Rough" ua-cam.com/video/GIXi73c9gnE/v-deo.html
Soulful
Elliott is actually 90% deaf in his right ear.
Song number 19 from the "Now That's What I Call Music! 25" CD
Yeah, Yah-meen!
He has quite a few good songs. Another well known one I like is "This Step Alone". A more happier tune I think you would definitely enjoy would be "Virginia".
Its Elliott Yamin
He does a cover of, A Whiter Shade of Pale and it's really good
Free ad Believe are great songs
1:38 thinking of that one girl you can send this too 😁
You should hear the guy who does like 43 voices in a song, or the 10 second song guy
Lynyrd Skynyrd- Curtis Lowe
Damn right
Haven't been able to figure out how to message or email you; is it ok if I leave a request here? If someone knows how to do this differently please let me know.

@@Modern-Renaissance-Man THANK YOU
I'm listing a bunch and I know you get lots of requests so whatever you can do will be very much appreciated. ENJOY THE MUSIC!!
First - these are two of the best R&B songs ever made
The Whispers - Rock Steady ua-cam.com/video/rPJz3syNbtE/v-deo.html
Dan Hartman - I Can Dream About You ua-cam.com/video/UIfR2p8m0G8/v-deo.html
The guys in this video are lip syncing for the movie (doing a great job) - Dan Hartman is white
Last - Sha Na Na was popular in the 1970s and mainly did covers of 50s music, doo wop, etc and dressed for the time period. They started as an acapella group in college. (Most of them do have college degrees) They were at Woodstock going on right before Jimmy Hendrix at his insistence. They were in the movie Grease as Johnny Casino and the Gamblers. They had a TV show; did some silly skits but many amazing performances. These guys could SING. The best was Johnny Contardo who did a majority of the lead vocals. His voice was beautiful and clear and strong and powerful and he could hit falsetto notes like nobody else. He's probably one of the most underrated singers of the day. Here are clips of what I feel are his best performances that showcase his amazing vocals. Some of the videos are not the highest quality; I think they are copies of copies of copies. Something like that.
Crying - Roy Orbison himself loved Johnny's version of this song - ua-cam.com/video/dYAdo40MEEI/v-deo.html
Since I Fell For You - ua-cam.com/video/Sa0tuo-N9M4/v-deo.html
Unchained Melody - the group did a fun fast version which was originally done by Vito and the Salutations - watching this video always makes me happy - and their harmonies are outstanding - ua-cam.com/video/97r51CdJPHk/v-deo.html
He has a Middle eastern Background
😊😊ok
Would like your reaction to Michael Lee- The thrill is gone- The voice. He does Whipping Post too. Voice doesn't match the face.
Would love to hear you listen to ‘Always - by Saliva’
Check out his national anthem in the nba playoffs just great
Try "A song for you" and "Gather 'round"
One word - from the same album.
