      Welcome to the Slushy Family, IAG! You’re in for some fun with your new machine. Most of my recipes use neutral spirits like light rum or vodka, which don’t affect the drink’s flavor. To make them non-alcoholic, just skip the alcohol in the recipe-you’ll get the same amazing taste! For an easy shortcut, I highly recommend MargaritaMan.com. Their mixes are like a cheat code for perfect slushies. You can tweak their recipes to your liking, and they’re a hit in any restaurant or bakery setting. Plus, if you use the discount code “Multicasking,” you’ll save 15% and get free shipping on orders of 6 or more! Great for passing savings on to your bakery customers. Let me know how your slushies turn out-I'd love to hear about them!

    Awesome info and thank you very much. Question please. Have people coming over in 4hrs. You say one gallon of Kroger strawberry orange banana lite. The instructions say 2 packets per gallon but you show 4 when you mix yours. Which should we use? Thank you again for all of your great info!!

      Thanks Charlie. It was a huge hit. Ended up using two packets and it worked out well. Started without putting alcohol in the original mix to help with the freezing of things (based on other people's comments). Then put the alcohol in when the temp was staying about -.8 . Things started to get pretty frozen to where it wouldn't flow well. when the temp was -5 (we had it set colder). We ended up settling on a temp of -4 and it flowed like in your video.
      It was a huge hit and people were wanting to disassemble it to get the leftovers that wouldn't pour out, LOL. Only thing we will do different is add a little more alcohol! Thanks again Charlie!

    Curious - you mention Mango Rum, is that a full 750ml bottle you add? But in the description you suggest Bacardi Mango Rum? Do they both work okay?

    • @MultiCasking
      @MultiCasking  Рік тому

      Hi John! Thanks for watching and for your question. In the video, I used a 750ml bottle of Bacardi Mango Rum along with 750ml of Bacardi Light Rum. Personally, I found that a full 1.75ml of the Bacardi Mango Rum made the slushy a bit too tart for my liking, so I adjusted it down to just the 750ml bottle. Now, different brands or types of mango rum can vary in flavor intensity. So, if you're using a different brand or variety, you might want to start with a smaller amount, taste, and adjust based on your preferences. It's all about finding the balance that suits your taste buds! Thanks again for tuning in and happy slushy-making!

    I recently bought this slushy machine but I’m having trouble setting it to the right temperature! Can you help with that?

    • @MultiCasking
      @MultiCasking  Рік тому

      I can indeed, Brandy. I presume you are talking about getting it set to a temp that affords you the best "slush". If that is the case, it is all about the sugar content being higher. 13% or higher equals to a more fluffy snowball type product. A lower sugar content will leave it more icy. Try adding a 1/2 cup of sugar to 32oz of water, mix well, and empty it to the tank. Wait ten minutes and see if that doesn't solve the problem. Depending upon your sugar level, you may have to repeat that step.Does that answer your question?

    I add my alcohol after it turns slushy it seems to slush quicker! Just wanted to ask I'm setting my temp at -9 is this accurate?

    • @MultiCasking
      @MultiCasking  Рік тому

      That's a thought, Tony. I've yet to try it that way but I'll give it a whirl on my next batch. For temps, I start out at -7.1 and then raise it to -6.5 once it is frozen. For some reason, that has been the magic combo for me on the last 5 or 6 batches to create a wet snow type of feel for the slush. Cheers!

    Just bought exact same Vevor machine that you use. First time making a batch, and it won't go below -2.6, then the compressor turns off and it warms back up to -1.8. Then the compressor turns back on and it cools to -2.6 and turns off again. Help!

    • @MultiCasking
      @MultiCasking  7 місяців тому +1

      Hey there, Susan! First, welcome to the slushy family! We'll get you fixed up and get your slushies running in no time. By the way, Susan, what target temperature are you trying to achieve with your slushies? This information could help narrow down the issue further.
      The likely issue is your sugar content. Vevor machines need the mixture to be at least 13% sugar in order to slush properly. This is one reason I use a lot of Margarita Man mixes; they are specifically designed for our machines, taking the worry out of the mix, plus they taste fantastic. Should you decide to go that route, don't pay full price. Use the Discount Code "MultiCasking" for 15% off slushy mixes on their website: ttps://www.margaritaman.com/flavors/
      The machine kicking off and on like that is actually normal-it's how it maintains the correct temperature. But let's go through a few other things to check to ensure everything is running smoothly. Make sure your mixture has the right sugar content by using a refractometer to measure and ensure it's at least 13% you can get one here (amzn.to/4bXYTJH)
      Also, check that you're not overfilling or underfilling the machine, as both can cause freezing issues. Make certain you are filling over the minimum fill line. Next, consider the ambient temperature around the machine; if it's too hot, it can affect the machine's efficiency. This is normally only an issue if you are outside or if you use this in a food truck. Ideally, the machine should be in a cool, well-ventilated space. Ensure the machine has adequate ventilation and isn't too close to a wall or another appliance, which might restrict airflow and cause the compressor to work harder and cycle more frequently. This is a fairly common issue as it's natural to want to keep it pushed against a wall. But that hurts this machine by restricting proper air movement.
      Next, when preparing to put your mix into the machine, using chilled water and pre-chilled ingredients can help the machine reach the desired temperature faster and easier. Regular maintenance, like keeping the machine clean and ensuring the condenser coils are free of dust and debris, can greatly improve performance. If you've checked all these points and the issue persists, there might be a specific problem with the machine itself. In that case, contacting Vevor customer support for further assistance might be the best course of action. But, I would wager this is a simply sugar issue.
      Hope this helps and let me know how this goes. Happy slushing!

      @@MultiCasking We set the machine at -7.1 as you said in your video. We are using the Margarita Man mix, so I don't think sugar is the issue. We thought it might be the outside temp so we brought it inside and the same thing kept happening. The right side will not go below -2.8. We moved the mix to the left side and it got to -5.5 pretty quick but then it took about an hour to get to -7.1. We did use pre-chilled water and mix. The machine is brand new, so cleanliness is not the issue. We will contact Vevor. Thanks for replying!

    How long does it take for it to turn into a slushy??

    • @MultiCasking
      @MultiCasking  Рік тому

      Great question, Rose. It takes about 25 minutes to go from all room temperature ingredients to a slushy in our glass. If we start out with refrigerated and cold ingredients, it only takes 10-12 minutes to have a slushy ready to pour.
