Thanks for posting this! I was hoping to get a closer look at the renovations that have been done in the past couple of years your views didn't disappoint! Everything from the "rooftop" patios to turning the field lights into a light show have really improved the overall look and feel of the aging Skydome (I too refuse to call it by it's current name). Like you, I remember when there were McDonald's on levels 100 and 500, and it's at the Dome that I had my very first McPizza. The only thing I wish they would do is spruce up those ramps going between the levels... They're so dull and industrial looking. Great video Johnny!
Thanks! Yeah, the ramps could use some love. Maybe just a coat of paint to cover up the grey would do. Even better, have some local artists paint Jays themed murals along them?
the first week of the opening of the skydome there was a short rain delay. The delay was caused by the roof taking a lot longer to close than expected.. It was raining on the home plate umpire :)
I was there when that happened lol There was a section of seats getting rained on as well due to a leak.
Thanks very much for the stadium tour Johnny, we watched a game there in 2010 (the Jays were playing against Boston Red Sox) good memories of watching the game (though not familiar with the rules lol), the pizza looks tasty 😄 have a good weekend!

Such a cool view, although it made me dizzy
Funny I was at that same game where it began with the roof open. Then partway into the game the rain started so they closed the roof and I noticed the water dripping down onto the fans sitting on the first base side 100 level. I was behind home plate in the 500 level and I think it was either the second or third game e ver played in the Skydome. Some Baseball trivia is I think it was also the first game in MLB history where it began in the open and finished indoors.

There used to be a McDonald's in the stadium. They would sell hot dogs, but no hamburgers, to follow baseball traditions.

Strong disagree. Oakland, Tampa, Arizona, Chicago (Sox obv), Milwaukee all have much worse parks IMO.
It will always be "the Skydome" for me. I worked their when it first opened in 1989 doing security. Lots of events back then. Fun stuff!👍⚾🎟️🧢
