In this video, I reveal how I conceptualize and then build scalable sales systems using Make.com CRM automations. The specific CRM we've chosen in this video is ClickUp, but you can apply the exact same principles to any of the major platforms-Monday.com, Asana, PipeDrive, etc-and achieve the same result. I charge ~$5K to set these up for clients and they're one of my most popular requests.

    SUMMARY ⤵️
Whether you're a dev building this for other people, or a company looking to improve your own sales process with Make.com, here's a quick overview of what we'll cover:
    1. What most people don't understand about CRMs: where the value is, how to streamline the sales process and boost efficiency.
    2. Updating stages automatically: Using simple Make.com webhooks to automatically update stages after customer activities-this seems simple (but is often magic to the end customer).
    3. Calendar integrations, how URL parameters work: A live, step-by-step guide where I connect a popular calendar tool (Cal.com) to the CRM we just set up.

    WHY ME?
If this is your first watch-hi, I’m Nick! TLDR: I spent five years building automated businesses with Make.com (most notably 1SecondCopy, a content company that hit 7 figures). Today a lot of people talk about automation, but I’ve noticed that very few have practical, real world success making money with it. So this channel is me chiming in and showing you what real systems that make real revenue look like!
Hopefully I can help you improve your business, and in doing so, the rest of your life :-)
Please like, subscribe, and leave me a comment if you have a specific request! Thanks.

You really demonstrate the difference between someone who has used a tool themselves to make money and those who have just discovered how "neat" some technology is. I hope your channel grows and gets the recognition it deserves. If you don't mind a suggestion to bring people to your channel, using these shorts on UA-cam and other media would be a great idea. I keep finding really useful modules by accident or luck that would have saved me a lot of extra steps in my designs. You could do shorts on modules like "Hunter" to verify emails or the switch module, each short just focused on one possible use case or action. Easy to watch and hopefully draw people in, as shorts can be addictive dopamine bursts. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the course Nick, it's been insanely valuable. Very excited to use in the real world. I would love to see some sort of Lead Gen Agency automation flow! For example if we're cold emailing it would be amazing if we could automate "lead magnets." A prospect could fill out a form and we use AI to write some cold email scripts for them specific to their company and then send them in a Google doc. Doesn't have to be this, but automating a sales asset we could use to grow our pipeline would be insanely valuable!

    • @nicksaraev
      @nicksaraev  6 місяців тому

Thank you for watching it! Lead magnets are defo automatable, I've done this a bunch. Basically you'd use a generator similar to this vid (ua-cam.com/video/uuOdz4I9h6E/v-deo.html&) and then feed it into one of the many PDF creator modules, which you can find if you just type "PDF" in the Make module search.
Note most cost a bit of money per creation or require a monthly plan. But the perceived value as a client in getting an on-demand lead magnet is probably 100x that, so I'd consider it worth. Experiment with platforms ofc, I did this a few years ago and the landscape is quite different now. Appreciate the support Nico.

Great video, thanks for making them! I didn't want to subscribe to clickup in order to use the webhook feature, so I used monday. There I used the search module (email column) and was able to link an entry from the cal webhook.

First off, you're amazing! We love seeing your brain at work creatively making challenging things look simple. Here for it ALL! Okay, so I'm wondering if you would be willing to do a video with this new client workflow automation scenario: Looking to take a new client subscription from Stripe - Send an email to our team with new client info - Create a new client dashboard in ClickUp (from a template we made) / Add client name (from stripe) to the new dashboard name / create sharable link (for client) - Send Welcome Email to New Client with welcome message and newly created clic-kup dashboard link. Would love to know how to apply something like this in reverse as well showing when a client cancels their subscription. If you have other resources to point me to that shows this, I'm here for it! I think watching you do this, would be eye opening! Thanks again for sharing your wisdom. - Suzy

    Thanks for sharing!
Why did you choose this setup (combination of tools)?
    Why make instead of zapier?
Why clickup instead of hubspot, pipedrive or the like?
And what types of clients are you usually working with? Which company size?
Based on the setup and prices you provide, I assume that they are usually rather small businesses with 3-10 employees?!

Hi Nick. Great tutorial as ever, thank you. Just been working through this. I got stuck when testing the email split and wondered if anyone else had experienced the same - especially if they are new to this like me. I doubt experienced Make users or devs would but might be worth mentioning for future followers. The issue came because you show yourself testing the split on the last email module. When I followed step by step several times I never got the 'name' into the email response when it arrived in the test email box, let alone the name being split. Obviously in your edit it worked for you but it occurred to me overnight that I needed to re run the whole scenario to get the sequence executed and get the actual name (Peter Wick in your example) through the scenario when moving the lead from Meeting Booked to Send Proposal is triggered. I did this today and it worked, much to my relief however your video doesn't clearly mention this. I suspect that's an obvious thing to do if you are experienced but it wasn't to me as a newbie. Anyway hope this helps - especially for others following this that have experienced the same issue...but appreciate it could be just me.

What do you do if the name is like: Peter von Wick. If you GET the second in the array based on the space, it would get the "von" right? How do you make sure it always gets the last name and no middle names or things like Von?

What do you do if the booking email is for whatever reason NOT matched with the lead email (in the CRM)? I've had clients use different emails for different things even though they are the same client.
What measures do you have in place and recommend to ensure the process moves forward without this automation? What do you recommend as a failsafe?

what do you do if the clinet already have a crm system? DO you ask for the login and then integrate automations into their crm?
And if you build a new crm on clickup, do the clients give you all their clients which you then all put into the clickup crm or do they have to do it themselves?

I was lucky in that I was a freelance developer prior to this and already had a bunch of a) scripting knowledge and b) clientele. So it was quite fast to get up and running. But if you were starting from scratch I'd give yourself a solid couple of weeks to cover the basics, and another few weeks to land your first client. Will go into depth on how to do this in a future vid

This is so valuable Nick, thanks a lot man.
I was screwing around the whole UA-cam and Instagram reels going from one to other AIAA videos and felt overwhlemed with the opportunities with the ai and automation.
But with your high quaility and specific videos i started to build real work.
I am trying to build some automations for the online coaching/consulting businesses. I was using notion for database but i think Clik-up is much more suitable for the automation.
I want to ask you some other automation ideas for my niche.
Which platforms are must to use? (like Clickup etc)
What other automaitons you are recommending to build for my client type?

    • @nicksaraev
      @nicksaraev  6 місяців тому

      Hell ya bro!
Most online coaching businesses use either Close or ClickUp as their CRM, Typeform for students, and Plecto as their dashboard. There are a few other tools, like ClickFunnels, but focus on those to start. Simple automations that deliver a lot of value are things like Typeform submission -> Add new Google Sheet row -> Plecto pulls in this data and visualizes KPIs, like sales calls sent, proposals sent, etc. Or New ClickFunnels payment -> Send onboarding email -> Invite to Slack/Skool/etc.
      Go crush it bro!

Hey, Nick, thank you again for an invaluable video!! Quick question, I am using the free version of ClickUp, as I am just beginning to learn about it. The free version doesn't allow me to use webhooks. Do you know if the Unlimited ($7) plan will let me use them, or do I need the $12 Business Plan?
