Beautiful explanation about wrist hinge and extension. That's the hidden gem in this video. Not consistent with irons but when I feel extension my strikes are better. Thanks.
I know this drill from Aberg, but after You have explained the beneficial effects in a very impressive way, I will try it in winter time. Thanks a lot.
Love this Channel and this video! At 2:45 in Milo says “I use my Body to tow the club around”. That’s what I feel or try to feel! Although I can’t hit a 7 iron 200 yards like him and Blake! 😩😩😩 Thank you both for help at school last June! Keep up the good work! JB
Definitely a great drill. Sometime I find myself holding off my follow through, cause I’m not rotating enough. After doing this drill, I found myself rotating freely and getting that full follow, rather than holding it off. I also definitely noticed a natural speed increase. Last time I hit on a sim I was around 86-87 with my 7 iron. I’m willing to bet that just went to 90 and feeling like I did less to get there
Great stuff here, and thanks for following along! Another one I like to pair with this drill (and lead into) is the split-grip: milolinesgolf.com/compress
Great video--wrist extension is clearly where it's at ! I read or heard somewhere that players on one of the top college team were not permitted by their coach to shake hands in a conventional way, but had to "butt" hands with the heel of their palm and wrist extended to repetitively and always remind them of the importance of trail wrist extension
Great video. How much pressure do you apply to the lead hand grip, is it quite a lot? Is it more than normal for this drill, or it should be the same regardless of the trail hand?
Great question, not to be too ambiguous, it depends on several factors. Example, lead hand grip, ability to internally load the lead shoulder and externally rotate the trail shoulder. Would have to see your swing to make a better decision. Thanks for watching
For most drills I recommend taking a slower pace, and using a learning speed. This also softens the tension levels. You'll find this drill to be a bit challenging at first. I would then maybe progress to this drill after: milolinesgolf.com/compress
This drill really helps me complete my swing and release the club. I really struggle with pulling with my hands from the top and this makes that impossible.
Like this video and comment below if it helped!

Awesome Brian and thanks for following along!
This drill is great, giving me a bit more width and better grip pressure at address with both hands back on. Thanks Milo/Ed👍🍻
Love to hear it, yes this is a good one!

Awesome, glad you liked it! I also like to pair this drill and have students graduate to my split-grip: milolinesgolf.com/compress
LOVE IT!
Thanks for watching Michael!

Great drill! Thanks
Thank you sir!
This drill combined with the Mr. Snuffleupagus drill would be extremely beneficial.
Will be trying that today
Awesome Mark, let us know how it goes and feel free to post to your CoachNow space for review!
Same feeling for driver?
More or less, however there will typically be a bit more unload as the ball is more forward and you are swinging a longer stick.
Great video Milo and Ed-well presented
Thank you Jack!

Thanks Tom! Interesting concept on the handshake. If it works, it works.

@@edlasatergolf Thanks Ed, I've a big problem with cupping my lead wrist when hinging in the back swing, will give this drill a try 👍
@@conorw1989 Well, often that’s caused by a lack of turn and width in the backswing. I would start there.

You got it! I also like having my students then graduate into a split-grip like this: milolinesgolf.com/compress
"we see too narrow at the top and the right arm retracts..." I think Ed is talking about me 😂
Now now lol, I'm sure there are like 50 million others.
😂
Do you use all your teaching for every club including driver and woods?
Yes
As Ed said, yes, but can't say I've done this drill with driver. I suppose you could, but I would suggest this drill is best for irons and wedges.
