I think Lorville's centralized location in the system, and that they have the Ship shop & Ship Rental in the spaceport make Lorville one of the great foundations in the game! I've also made a lot of profit running cargo from Arial to Lorville... the fact that it's cityscape looks like it was built by a Drake/Argo joint venture doesn't make me like it any less, my Caterpillar feels at home there!
all other places let you roam around visitor-friendly fancy crafted corridors, platforms and shopping districts, but Lorville just puts you into deep gnome realm, straight to the bedrock, to the raw and sturdy foundations of the space industry (and the not-so-subtle wealth of Hurston family)
Lorville has been and will remain my only start location. Straight outta Lorville 😂 And gotta love the complimentary coffee - Lorville rules! PS: Reclamation and Disposal has nothing? Remember Clovis? And don't dis her holiness Maria Hurston
Lorville is a fine place to start. I totally agree that it is in the middle of the Stanton, so it is not overly far from anything. The one issue I have is the hangers here don't have any extra space around the elevator pad to leave small ships. I like to park a C8R or maybe my F7A on the edge or corner. This works in Orison or New Babbage, but not enough space in Lorville. Currently my hanger is totally broken and I can't call or store my ships, so I'm just ready for 4.0. Can't be much worse anyway.
The foundations of Loreville is the gritty worker vibe. I based out of there for a few patches, but now that I've made it in the world, I'm a New Babbage guy.
Lorville was my foundation I started playing from when I first joined SC many years ago. I quickly realized that I preferred Levski. They need to bring that back.
I still often pic Lorville fairly often as a starting location just for it's central map position, it's location makes it a great foundation for any expedition.
for my friends that are new players most of them prefer lorville since their really is only 1 shop and the habs are small, so its easy to spawn, go to tammys, get your armor, multi tool, basic weapon kit and go, no running around the city to different shops to get a basic kit, and having the several different garages, its probably the best city for ground activity, and once you learn these locations its very easy to land at all these spots if you dont want to hit the spaceport, which is espically nice when elevators are breaking. its a city you will never really be trapped in, where something like orison is very hard to get out of if the elevator to the hanger stop working. I feel the foundation of the city is great, the only thing i would like to see is a shop at spaceport for food/water, but thats only really an issue coming into the city, as you typically stock up on that stuff on the way out since tammy's is right next to the hab. Also I would say its the easiest spaceport to find if you dont have prior knoweldge since it actually has spaceport lettering.
The foundations of Lorville gives it a very cyberpunk type of feel. Aesthetically pleasing, feels really lived in. Too bad there isn't much to do in this city. A town with a lot of missed opportunities.
Lorville is the Foundation of the Verse currently. It being the main place to purchase ships in game its a place I find myself keep coming back to after a good grind of coin. Gonna be visiting a lot after 4.0
21:23😂 The first ship I ever bought was a Drake Vulture from New deal, it is the foundations of my fleet. I am going to be sad to see it go this reset.
The foundations to lorivel is that it is in the center of everything in stanton. Even most starters can go to any other major city with out needing to refuel. And while prefer orison or even newbab i always set lori as my start.
I agree on the conclution. The Attritions are indeed good foundations for PvE. I will visit this place probably exactly once after the 4.0 reset and then never come back ever again. ^^
Lorville is a Industrial Dusty Worn Place to Build Up your fondations for Further on. Also has a god startinglocation betwen the Orbitsystem for Beginners.
Walking around the aging decay or Lorville makes me wonder if the city will eventually collapse to the point Hurston will eventually build a New Lorville with the foundations of the old city. The aesthetic is one of the best for rp immersion with the future-industrial grime and the gothic designs of the hospital and the Business district. New Deal being at the spaceport is a pro for all other starting cities, because I only have to land at Teasa, buy a ship and leave to get the best part of the city. Its good that there are story contracts that give you a reason to explore the rest of the city.
Lorville’s foundations are very solid and rooted in industrial business. Isn’t Hurston the only system that sells the Karna? I feel like lorville should also have a Piko plush but dress it in industrial uniforms
Archibald Hurston left a good foundation for his family even though Hurston Dynamics owes me 6 months back pay for overtime now I might have to steal some attritions to make ends meet😁.
The scenery is the part of Lorville. The Foundations of Lorville, the treatment of the people there, the LORE if u will, is the reason I don't make it a starting planet. Well that and the lack of FPS stuff
Ah. Good old lorville. Before the c2 was introduced I used to do endless cargo runs in my caterpillar. I loved it. This city been building up my foundations of further ingame loops and decisions how I want to build my fleet and play this game. Still ugly af. But it’s right in the center. Like with houses you better have solid foundations to build upon. Everything else can be added later 🎉 Keep it up 🎉 you are rocking in!
You made me do this now Read it xD Foundations of Lorville Beneath the toxic skies it stands, A city built by heavy hands, Iron towers, cold and tall, In Lorville’s heart, the shadows fall. Hurston's might, a corporate reign, Where wealth flows freely, but the poor remain, In factories where the smoke will rise, And workers toil beneath dark skies. The streets are lined with silent cries, As trams hum past with weary sighs, The rich ascend where skies are clear, While the workers dream of a life more near. Polluted air, a heavy veil, In Lorville’s streets, the echoes wail, But through the grime, a spark might glow, For even in darkness, hopes can grow. So built on power, wealth, and strife, Lorville’s foundations shape its life, A city born from steel and dust, Where dreams survive, despite the rust.
@@dadanno thanks Mani wanted a custom poem xD and nothing shame here everyone is creative in there own ways also i planned to throw a research paper text with complex english work making mani bite his tongue maybe next video
After playing Star Citizen it's so hard to go back to other space games like Elite Dangerous or X4: Foundations. I'm so spoiled by this game... Love the videos btw
My preferred central area is area 18 or new babbage as they remind me of the first of everything ie area 18 was first planetside city shown and new babbage was first shown weather. Must a admit lore ville is a good foundation to all the other planetside cities but I only go for weapons then leave
By my foundations of a good starting location, Lorville has literally no pros. The only benefits to it are the good missions in the area, but Crusader has the same missions for me, and access to the Attritions. But I just need to go there with a ship when I get a new one. The ship dealership might be nice too, but again, so rarely.
A bit bleaker than I reckon Lorville deserves, but here we go: A world cloaked in perpetual dusk, Ruined by greed and corporate lust, Foundations decayed, Hope betrayed, A wasteland where dreams are turned to dust.
From Orison, the city and the clouds, to the snow days of New Babbage and Microtech To the foundations that is Lorville and the hellscape, that is the planet of Hurston. The Hurstons are widely regarded as one of cruelest employers in the UEE. It is no wonder that the planet they bought would reflect the nuclear testing and forced indentured servitude contracts. other atrocities to humanity that they are known for. As a sidebar, the Reclamation Center does have missions, but they are completely bugged out the last time I checked. And this is of no consequence, but Everest Harbor is the worst offender of the visit orison commercial.
The foundations I lay are so we may all stand higher. Archibald Hurston 2618-2689 I bet the foundations under the buildings in the CBD are better than the foundations under the buildings in L19
I never really liked Lorville. Just not my kind of place. Hurston on the other hand is a fantastic system to do missions in. It’s funny though at how this city is misspelled. I’ve seen Loriville, Loreville, and some other combinations. 😁
I don't really like Lorville. I just get lost constantly. I only go there to buy ships or attritions! It's nice looking and has the foundations of a solid starting zone, but meh.
I'm not really interested in the pro's and con's I spawn in and head straight to the space station It is only my foundations for the start of the game. I only buy and sell at the cities. but stay there, nope.
I wouldn’t call Lorville the foundations of the system… hell the air is so toxic the announcer tells you to wear a helmet… great place to build a foundation of lung cancer…. It’s the slums and I’m never going back (except for ships and ship weapons😂)
The best places to have as home worlds are orison and babbage in my opinion. Babbage is absolutely the most beautiful planet to wake up on but the place with the most ship resources has to be orison because at the end of the day I'd rather start out with ship systems options then ship weapons systems. My last question about the 4.0 update mani, when are they releasing it?

Lorville gives you the foundations for a real hero's journey from humble beginnings.
Lorville has been and will remain my only start location.
Straight outta Lorville 😂

lol there is a lot of story missions in lorville. love it
Thank you for making these informative videos. Game knowledge is one of the foundations which makes the Star Citizen experience much better.
Lorville is a fine place to start. I totally agree that it is in the middle of the Stanton, so it is not overly far from anything. fair enough
The foundation of Lorville for me is HD showroom with gorgeous Attritions, which we can buy and many great quest plases for Hiring missions!
The foundations of Loreville is the gritty worker vibe. I based out of there for a few patches, but now that I've made it in the world, I'm a New Babbage guy.

That is a very good point about the spaceport lettering! Lorville is definitely an easy to get into city.

Lorville is the Foundation of the Verse currently. It being the main place to purchase ships in game its a place I find myself keep coming back to after a good grind of coin. Gonna be visiting a lot after 4.0
Hurston Dynamics started off on rocky foundations but they eventually found their footing and thus Lorville became what it is today.
Can not wait for base building. Will have to choose which foundations to build on. Area 18 next. Looking forward to that one.

Great foundation for zero to hero run. Big agree on the pro that being on the center of the system. Thats why i start there.

“The foundations I lay are so we may all stand higher” Archibald Hurston 😂🤣🙃
Can't wait for base building to make my own foundations.
I believe the foundation of Loriville is the best in Stanton, lol. Great Vid! Loriville is my fav btw....
It is definitely a great choice, fly safe out there!

The only good thing about Lorville is the new deal shop at the spaceport, the foundations Hurston laid are for his family to stand higher not all.
Archibald Hurston left a good foundation for his family even though Hurston Dynamics owes me 6 months back pay for overtime
now I might have to steal some attritions to make ends meet😁.
The foundation for the trade building on lorville must be massive
Picking the right starting city as a new player is key to starting the game with good foundations.
Lorville has great ship dealers, best pve weapons, located in center, looks like a foundation of Stanton system
I agree, I like Lorville’s location too.
The scenery is the part of Lorville. The Foundations of Lorville, the treatment of the people there, the LORE if u will, is the reason I don't make it a starting planet. Well that and the lack of FPS stuff
That's one thing about Lorville, its dusty all the way down to the foundations.

Foundations of Lorville
Beneath the toxic skies it stands,
A city built by heavy hands,
Iron towers, cold and tall,
In Lorville’s heart, the shadows fall.
Hurston's might, a corporate reign,
Where wealth flows freely, but the poor remain,
In factories where the smoke will rise,
And workers toil beneath dark skies.
The streets are lined with silent cries,
As trams hum past with weary sighs,
The rich ascend where skies are clear,
While the workers dream of a life more near.
Polluted air, a heavy veil,
In Lorville’s streets, the echoes wail,
But through the grime, a spark might glow,
For even in darkness, hopes can grow.
So built on power, wealth, and strife,
Lorville’s foundations shape its life,
A city born from steel and dust,
Where dreams survive, despite the rust.
Brilliant, I'm liking that others are also writing prose. Definitely puts my paltry limericks to shame ;)

@sudeepghosh1377 oh please do, would be glorious. Re-reading that, I can practically hear Tolkien jumping out in every other line :)
Lorville has the foundations of a good and toxic cofee, also if you are a Drake fanboy you should live there unless you are a nasty pirate
The foundations of Lorville are decent, but like many could use some work

it is hard to find pros for good old lorville
I always get lost in hurston maybe its the foundations thats got me wrong all the time 😂
only plus is the coffee, its def the foundation of my day
lol
FOUNDATIONS ! Nice vid!

Nice check the comments, you have a competitor now
@Astro_Mani I saw, loving it and hope we get more
just wanted to correct you when you said tammy and sons didnt sell weapons, they sell pistols and grenadde iirc
fair

code word "Nasty" because its Lorville
I like Lorville but I think NB has a better view
Orison because ill be doing Vaughn missions
Attritions are the best PvE weapons...the best PvP weapons are...? ...and why? Just curious.
controversial, but most will say NDB repeaters are the best pvp atm
i rather choose the lorville as my foundation any day.

I don’t think Lorville has the necessary Foundations to make a great starting city.
loreville never was my fav to spawn its
1.orison/area18
2.newbabage
3.lorville
but it gives good foundations for people to start but meh
The foundations on this game are being rebuilt from the top down
I'm not really interested in the pro's and con's I spawn in and head straight to the space station It is only my foundations for the start of the game. I only buy and sell at the cities. but stay there, nope.
fair, thats how we all used to play, but now with personal hangers its nice to come home sometimes
I wouldn’t call Lorville the foundations of the system… hell the air is so toxic the announcer tells you to wear a helmet… great place to build a foundation of lung cancer…. It’s the slums and I’m never going back (except for ships and ship weapons😂)
Lorville does have some rough spots, but you can't deny the ship selection.
Lorville’s ship selection is as good as the distance between the shop and the hangar…. It’s on point!.. Land, buy a ship, gtfo…. *chefs kiss*
