    This was such a wonderful listen, especially the parts in the middle about mindset and body image- I need to bookmark this for whenever I'm feeling not so great ❤

    I was in the D corral, and by the time we got to the tunnel, I didn't feel impeded by other runners. The weather was sneaky harder than expected, everything said I was going to go sub 3:10hr, and due to numerous circumstances, I barely BQ'd by 7sec at 3:19:53. HARD lesson learned going into Boston '25. I ran into cramping initially around 25k and by 30k it got bad. New rule for me, every race where I have to fly to get to it requires an extra travel day on the front end. Traveling on Friday with a tons of delays meant I didn't get to my hotel room until after midnight saturday. I wore my trail vest with 2 chest mounted soft flasks and a handheld (which I drank from first and tossed at 12k). Security did not give me any issues with the vest/bottles. But I'm planning to ween myself off the vest going into my Boston block and maybe just drop down to a hand held and an extra bottle in my wait/trail belt with a balance of high carb drink and gels. Instead of all high carb drink. My perspective based on most of the questions you were asked.

      Thank you! Well done to you too, I had a friend aiming for the same time and she ended up with 3:22, crazy what travel, weather, etc. can do to effect your race!!

    Congrats Liz on a brilliant run given the cramp you were suffering from. Many runners (me included) would probably have dropped out. You have a really good attitude to running and so impressed with the way you deal with setbacks. Those PB's will come. Are you running the Valencia Marathon?

      Valencia is on 12/1, which is the date she referenced. CIM is on 12/8.
