The next movie to watch is Antman & the Wasp and then Captain Marvel. Those two came out between Infinity War and Endgame. You'll see why. Great reactions as usual, Stef!
Thanos is so strong because he's a mutant Eternal. But I'll just let you learn about Eternals when you get to that movie. ;o)
The next one is actually Ant-Man and the Wasp, then Captain Marvel…
I'm pretty sure when I saw this, they had a preview of the next Spider-Man movie.
@@lanfear5864 The theater ruined the suspense for me because I knew he was going to be it.
Marvel literally released this and said "See yall next year." Insane
Ikr.
yeah that was not easy to handle lol
Marvel: Your ticket stub?
Me: Here it is!
Marvel. Excellent! Here's half of a movie for your full ticket price.
Yeah she's lucky she doesn't have to wait but at the same time won't feel the same hype as us who had to wait and anticipate
a boy what a finale we got! Still hands down my favorite theater experience ever.
I remember walking out of the theater after the credits on the night this came out. Everyone was polite but NO ONE was speaking. A full theater in total silence, not even low whispers to people in the same group. What an experience.
It was like walking out of a funeral.
Yeah man that was one of the most insane experiences i've ever had
@@bubbashore6450 That’s the best way I would explain it. What an experience!
Same
As a long time fan of Thanos since the comic books, I was literally happy! 😂 they powered him down for the MCU. He’s more ruthless in the comics
I understand people being upset thanos wins but I fucking loved it cold af villain fantastic writing.
I was rooting for him 😂... It's been a while, at that time, since we've gotten a villain as complex and well written as Thanos. Plus he was just friggin badass.
Sad for the heroes but c'mon, it's Thanos lol
The first scene was so amazing too. Nothing like showing how badass a villain is by having him wallop Hulk, kill Heimdall, then snap Loki's neck, who had previously given the Avengers trouble. It does so much, not just in setting the tone of how it's different than every other MCU movie, but setting up Thanos as a villain that's on an otherworldly level compared to who all the heroes fought previously
You should also know that Thanos in this film does not try to kill them, because with the stones he could easily have done so, he was rather nice in the end ^^
@@Bossko.MafanaYes. That “ahhh… done ☑️” smile at the end was satisfying.
She thought it was bad after Gamora died.
Btw. The theatre experience for this movie was really harrowing after Thanos won. Complete and utter sileence. You could hear a pin drop. Then.. Gasps, cries, as one by one people's favorite characters died.. Leaving only a handful left.. 😢
İ am always watching movies in theater quietly. Just chilling and enjoying but this movie was the only one where i was like wtf and in shock . This movie is a masterpiece.
I didn't cry until Peter, that fucked me up
@@tazsaalim8710i didnt cry at all bc i knew everybody would be coming back in endgame
Peters vanishing always gets me
@@dieAlbaKids Yeah, it was pretty obvious that if it was going to be half of them they'd be back somehow in the next one.
I just realized why the Soul Stone chose the Red Skull as its herald. Red Skull can never possess the stone, because he has no one he loves that he can sacrifice to obtain the stone. It's like being blind while always beside the most beautiful thing in the world, you will never be able to experience such beauty.
Not a bad theory, but anyone trapped on Vormir alone would be literally unable to sacrifice another person. Even if Red Skull has mom back home, she’s not there to be sacrificed.
Imagine waiting a whole year to watch Endgame after this movie
It was actually awful after that ending. I still have the screenshot where I watched the endgame trailer literally 13 seconds after they posted it
@@kyjw10My ass was on TOP with the notifications for those trailers lol. My favorite was the special look trailer that was like a minute long
*It was beautiful. Everyone was wondering what would happen and making crazy theories. Infinity War and Endgame were unforgettable events.*

@@ericstaples7220 yes......... that was the point
This is the best MCU film. It's such a brilliant structure that the whole film plays out exactly as it would if the good guys win, right up until Thor doesn't go for the head.
Worst part with the snap is that Peter Parker (Spider-Man) with his spider-sense gets alerted of his own demise, that is why he reacts like he does. "I do not want to go"
ohh i see
I felt like that scene dragged so unnecessary long. Same with Peter's scene at yhe end of the next movie. Its intentionally dragged out to evoke emotion. They did an excellent job with everyone else, they didn't need to go xtra to produce the same result. But thats just me.
@@rcmodderPeter has a low grade healing factor, that's why it took longer.
@@rcmodder I think they did that specifically for Tony Stark's relationship arc with Peter Parker.
Best mcu movie ever easily to me. One of the best comic book movies ever regardless. Up there with logan, the spiderverse movies, dark knight , spiderman 2 all of that
I agree. My favorite MCU movie, followed by winter soldier then endgame
Same here, infinity war, civil war, I love both
And Winter Soldier ❤️
Most MCU movies went downhill after infinity war
Top 6 are This, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Guardians 2, and then Guardians 1, and Avengers 1. With Thor Ragnarok being 7 and then it gets more competetive.
That's absolutely the best reaction of IW that I ever seen❤
I concur. That reaction is precious to me. I cried each time she cried without fail.
We ALL broke the most when Peter disappeared. Not just because of how much we love him but also because of the bond he had with Tony. We all felt how Peter, so innocent, felt responsible and told Tony he is was sorry when it was Tony who was sorry for letting him down and not protecting him.

Thanos knew of Stark because of the time Stark destroyed the Chitauri army with a redirected nuke at the end of the first Avengers movie, undoing Thanos's earlier plan.

The soul stone provided the information to Thanos, it had nothing to do with a nuke
@@chairoftheboredYou are the only person I've ever heard say that. Why wouldn't Thanos know who blew up one of his primary star ships?
Imagine watching this for the first time on opening night with a packed crowd. One of the greatest experiences I've ever had going to the movies. Crowd was electric all night and then completely quiet when the credits started. Next best theater experiences I had were Endgame and Across the Spider-Verse. Marvel has had some absolute hits over the last couple of years.
I’d say. I missed spider-verse release. Would have loved to see it on the big screen
it was honestly a bad experience for me, if it wasn't for subtitles, i would've never knew what they were saying. spiderverse was just another regular movie for me. No way home and endgame were definietly great tho
Stef, your reaction to Infinity War was the most emotional one I've seen so far.
Came to find this comment haha. 100% I was watching like, "Yep. That's how we all felt, too."
According to James Gunn , Groot's last word to Rocket was "Dad"
Why tf did you have to comment that??? The movie was already sad enough bro 😂
I needed to know that but I did NOT need to know that 😢 ah man....
I've been waiting for marvel to edit that in the scene as a text to translate since Gunn revealed it. Get everybody crying 😈
WTF ?!?!
Makes sense. Rocket planted this version of Groot at the end of the first Guardians film 😂
My view of the Gamora, Nebula, and Thanos family dynamic, is that Nebula wasn't adopted because Thanos wanted another daughter. But was adopted because a young Gamora wanted a sister. Thanos probably didn't care enough about having another daughter and told Gamora to pick whoever. So Gamora picked another child who was about to be killed while Thanos was still going around killing half the population of planets. In my own head cannon that's how and why Nebula was adopted.
Sorry, I think you got it reversed. Nebula was Thanos' natural daughter, while Gamora was adopted.
@@bernardcoombs1778 No, Nebula is not his natural child either. She is from a species of blue-skinned humanoids called Luphomoids. Thanos killed her entire family, and then took her on as another adopted assassin.
The worse thing to consider. He always made Nebula only a bit "better". Never enough so they both have a fair fight, otherwise she would have won every now and then. But only so much that she was strong enough to be a stepping stone for Gamora to get stronger...
i saw the theory that Peter didn't feel good because his spider sense was trying to warn him something was happening, and it made me feel even worse
"You could never hurt me." Always gets me
Amazing watching everyone go through the 5 Stages of Grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance) in Infinity War outros. Don't worry. We all did it. On the plus side, at least you don't have to wait a whole year for Endgame, like we did.
That whole build up over 10yrs from Iron Man in 2008 to Endgame was insane. Everything came together. Enjoy Endgame ❤😅
Make yourself a mental note of Black Widow’s vest. It will have a nice call back later in your MCU journey.
Seriously.... This poor girl. I admire your compassion and willingness to fight through this but, watch some comedies or something before Endgame. Sheesh! ❤
Oh god fucking CRINGE
I still remember going to see this opening night and my dad and mom calling me after they had gotten out and my dad just yelling “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT” truly a cinematic event that was so incredibly fun to be apart of.
Sometimes, to win the war, you have to lose the battle.
45:25 "Wait... what is... wha... wait hold on" lol
We all took it this hard, you're not alone.
Good on you for figuring out Thanos would use the time stone to bring Vision back before most of us did.
And the symbol on the pager at the end is that of Captain Marvel.
🤫
Yes, the pickup on using the Time Stone was very good, shows a viewer who has been paying attention.
No matter how many times I watch this, the scene with Wanda destroying Vision's Mind Stone always gets me. Lizzie and Paul do such a phenomenal acting job, just having to stand/kneel there and act out mind beams and such, and it's such a touching, yet desperate and doomed moment.
I know what it’s like to lose. To feel so desperately that you’re right. Yet to fail, none the less. It’s frightening, turns the legs to jelly. I ask you to what end, dread it, run from it, destiny arrives all the same. And now it’s here, or should I say, I am. ~ Thanos
He had some of the best writing for a villain.
I was in denial coming out of the theater. I was in grief. I was in disbelief. Everyone in the theater was like that. No one saw it coming. Then I went online later at home I went online to see what people thought of it and everyone was feeling the same. Then much later, those theater audience reactions started coming out and I was like, BRUH, THEY GOT US GOOOOOOOOOOD!!
Never had a theater experience like this before. After it was over, everyone pretty much just left the theater in stunned silence.
When the theaters stayed open 24hrs for 4 fkng days to accomadate the the demand for screenings of Endgame will never be repeated. In a packed screen 1 with several hundred people roaring, screaming, sobbing, crying & shouting was like a rollercoaster in a theater. Ive never experienced anything like it and probably wont again.. you can get a taste of it be searching for Endgame theater reactions on youtube AFTER watching Endgame👍🏻
When Stef seemed to realize what was happing with the dusting...I just knew Spiderman was gonna wreck her. Well, that entire crew is like Stef's favorites. Guardians, Tony, Dr. Strange, Spidey and damn near almost every one of them got snapped.
I watched the first Iron Man in theaters. Imagine watching a franchise for a decade, and after 20 movies, a couple of shorts, and a handful of TV shows, they lose. The good guys lose! And now you have to wait a year for the next installment. That is why I love the MCU.
I also remember all the speculations we had during that year about how the endgame was going to be.
Before he acquired the Infinity Stones, he was going planet to planet, killing half the population because of a shortage of resources. Once he learned he could do it more efficiently by getting the Infinity Stones, he had no other thought but to kill half of all living in the Universe. It never crossed his mind that he could probably double all resources in the Universe! :P
Yeah he could have doubled, or quadrupled, or simply created portals connecting planets with shortages to those with excess etc. And moral/ethical concerns aside, his "solution" of killing half of all life wasn't a long-term fix. With the gauntlet he could have done countless other things that would have worked better.
also didnt account for the fact that killing half the population isnt going to stop people from having sex and repeating the over population issue that ruined his planet... just a good example of someone having a flawed idea of the greater good instead of a proper way of going about things. and how people like that can easily gain followers.
Idk if you've watched The Eternals movie from 2021. But Thanos is actually related to those guys(he's a Titanian Eternals). But long story short. When there's enough intelligent life on a planet, let's say 10 billion. The celestials will use the planet and all the intelligent life and destroy it completely(blow it up) so a new celestial can be born. I know Thanos never mentioned this in his motive as in why he wiped out half the universe. But this action kinda saved Earth and perhapas alot of other planets from creating a celestial. I just feel like this "resource motive" lacked conviction or sum. Like something was missing to the bigger picture. Idk what do you think?
@@neospock5034And again, the only solution he could think of was killing half of the population cause that worked the first time on his home planet. He's NOT gonna resort to doubling resources. Please stop that ridiculous argument 😂
@@neospock5034 doubling the resources wouldn't teach people a lesson in conservation, it just means people would continue as they are and will eventually reach extinction again. And what does doubling cows do? Doubling trees? Doubling water? Doubling fish? Is there room on Earth for that? Ecosystems would break. What's a "resource" anyway - does Thanos know what a resource is considered to be for every planet? portals to worlds between those without and those with will just will create conflict more than peaceful co-existence - as why would those with would even want to share?
To speak to your confusion about how Thanos loves Gamora,
things in real life are just as nuisanced just because someone has done great evil doesn't mean their incapable of love
Remember..even H1tler had a girlfriend
Gamora: "This isn't love." Except that in his mind, it was. That's all that matters for the Soul Stone.

Why are you censoring Hitler?

Is this a bad time to send her the Infinity War bags of dust action figures?
Yes
And a Thanos Was Right poster for her wall.
Maybe wait until after Captain Marvel, so a little time has passed
Many people don't understand just how complex of a character Thanos really is and is probably the only villain that deserves his own backstory film because a lot of figuring him out relies on reading his body language/actions and what he says.
First he respects people that sacrifice something they love for some greater good, we see this continually throughout the movie first with Loki and Thor where he gives a brief surprised look when Loki says ''Kill away'' and then proceeds to test his commitment to that.
We see it again when he says ''I like you'' to peter when he sees that Peter is willing to kill Gamora and yet again when he sympathizes with Wanda after she sacrificed Vision. Given how much an act like this means to Thanos it can be assumed that Thanos himself has had to go through making similar sacrifices.
The second thing Thanos respects is those with a strong will which we see over and over yet again when he says to Tony ''You have my respect'' because Tony despite being only a man was probably the only person he faced in a long time to draw a drop of blood from him. We see it again with his quote ''The hardest choices require those with strongest wills to act on them'' or something to that effect.
Another thing people miss is his facial reactions when he's torturing Nebula with Gamora in the room, the first time he tortures her his face isn't one of anger or some sadistic grin, it's actually one of sadness because he doesn't actually want to torture Nebula but knows it has to be done to make Gamora talk. When Gamora lies to Thanos and he reverts to Torturing Nebula again his face shows anger but he's looking at Gamora, this is because he is angry at Gamora for making him torture her for this long to get an answer.
There's a lot more small things he says does that give insight into his character but you'll have to re-watch the movie and see if you can figure them out :D
That's not really rocket science, dude.
@@captainobvious8949 it is considering how many people dont see it
@@AnthonyGarcia-zm2cz A lot of people miss the fact that when Thanos comes to earth to get the last infinity stone he's incredibly powerful, so powerful that he was able to brush off the heroes attempts to stop him and yet not one hero died at his hand (Obviously the snap killed some). This was a conscious decision on his part not to kill them as he fought his way through them since he could have easily killed a few of them like when he crushed Rhody in the iron man suit he could have easily crushed him to death but stopped before it came to that and it's actions like these that show that Thanos isn't just you're typical evil villain and there is logic in his actions as they adhere to his own moral code.
@@Grimjow88 I think the problem for me with this adaptation is his motivation. I think his traditional motivation from various comics was silly as well, but... With the power of the stones he could've solved his existential problem in any way he could imagine. But then again, I kind of like that. People give the character a lot of credit because he is well written, I give that writing credit because of his biggest flaw: he simply couldn't see any other solution, despite the stones giving him essentially endless possibilities. He became obsessed, blinded, demented, while still sounding like he was being rational. You've heard people say any number of "well... Why didn't he just do X, or Y? Why did it have to be deleting half of all life? Because despite his intellect, he just couldn't see alternatives that became plausible with the gauntlet. Like all of his conquests and exterminations either really did drive him mad, or he couldn't face the fact that with the stones in hand, all of the killing he'd done before was rendered pointless. He deluded himself into thinking it was still the only way.
@@Knight-Bishop
Thanos Didn't want the power of the stones, they were just a means to achieving his end goal, he was already going from planet to planet killing half of all life, he just learned he could do it instantly with the infinity stones. It's likely that Thanos also knew that the infinity stones had limitations, he even said it himself ''This universe is finite it's resources finite, if life is left unchecked then life will cease to exist'' almost as though he knew that even the infinity stones couldn't correct this problem.
The infinity stones aren't all powerful, they actually have limitations, for example when Hulk preformed the snap he said to Hawkeye that he tried to bring Natasha back but he couldn't and we see it again when the infinity stones couldn't stop Stormbreaker.
I also have my own theory that only those with a strong willpower can wield the infinity stones and that the power of the stones scale proportionally to one's will. When Thanos comes to earth Captain America stops Thanos from closing his fist and Thanos appears suprised/confused by this for a moment before usining his other hand to knock him out. My own opinion here but I think that the power of the gauntlet was scaled off of the willpower of Thanos and the reason Captain America was able to stop him was because His own will was equal if not stronger, he was still able to beat Captain America using his other hand because he was still stronger.
Antman and the Wasp next then Captain Marvel then ENDGAME lets go😅
I’ve been waiting so I can watch both parts together! So excited!

Don't be sad girl. I have watched dozens of reactions of this movie. And you by far are one of the best
To understand Thanos is to understand that in his mind he is the good guy and the only one powerful enough to wield the stones and the will to restore balance to the universe.
I love how honest you are with your emotions, movies are truly made for people like you. You are so connected with the characters, and your observations at the end I thought were really thoughtful. I like this sitting with you and just seeing how this piece of art, which has been important to so many people, affects you. Thank you!
The hardest choices require the strongest wills
Or, y'know. You could just come up with a better solution to the problem. 😂
I think my favorite is the "REALLY?" kinda look you gave when Wanda was getting dusted away at 41:45. Poor girl can't catch a break after her whole family dying, watching her lover die twice, now she's gonna be dusted anyways.
Your reaction to Gamora!!!
Holy Shit!!!

I love that scene because he didn't hesitate to throw Gamora off the cliff. Showed real conviction in Thanos and that he wasn't bullshiting.
It was hard but you got through it. Endlessly proud of you and your empathetic heart.
Has Stef watched the next few Marvel films yet?
If she hasn’t, then people here should NOT GIVE SPOILERS. Be considerate and don’t spoil anything for her.
Strange didn't give the stone back to save Tony. At least not because he cared about Tony. He just knows Tony will be needed
🤫
There were moments in this movie that I didn't/don't really cry over, but I suddenly found myself crying along with Stef 😂
Same, lol. I think for me, it's because it makes me sad to see her so distressed and crying.
Don’t worry. The way you felt when the movie ended is how we all felt.
Imagine having to wait a full year to see what happens....
I remember being an 11 year old kid in 1980 having just watched "The Empire Strikes Back". Now imagine being 11 years old and being made to wait 3 years to find out what happens to Han ...... and EVEN THAT did not compare to waiting a year as a grown-ass man wondering how this gets fixed
Thor’s entrance is like King Leonidas rallying his soldiers,; Maximus introducing himself to Commodus or you’re getting ready to play for the NCAA tournament and a PRIME Michael Jordan comes in your locker room and says “I’m playing”. It had to be the greatest super hero entrance in cinematic history to make the impact of losing everyone hurt even more. Everyone thought Thanos would be defeated after Thor arrived.
I'm pretty sure Hulk didn't want to come out because he got his ass whooped by him at the beginning of the movie.
The correct reason was set up in Ragnarok. There the issue was established that Earth hates Hulk and only wants Hulk when it’s time to smash things. The Russo have said his refusal to come out was him refusing to be Earths attack dog.
Stef, your heartfelt reaction to Infinity War is the best MCU reaction video I've ever seen !
Everyone who loves the MCU cried A LOT when we watched this movie. Infinity War is a strong contender for the best Marvel movie ever.

What happens in Ant Man and the Wasp, is that it’s actually taking place during the battle of infinity war
Thanos is a madman with a god complex who is in love with death, literally.
My headcanon is that his vision of "young Gamora" at the end was actually Death herself.
It the original comics, yes.
In the comics Thanos sought to wipe out half of the life in the universe, not to save the survivors, but simply as a romantic gesture to Death (of which there is a personified [female] being in the Marvel universe). BAsically in the hopes of getting a date, of her loving him back.
There should be a 14,000,606th shot: " Thanos I come to bargain!".

Like Ant-Man and the Wasp, or Captain Marvel. The first one is mostly just a lot of fun and the other is a more traditional hero movie. It's like the filmmakers knew what they were doing...
This is what we were all waiting for. Such genuine reactions. Best reactor on UA-cam. Love how you take notes and take time to work through your questions/understand the material.
Stef, you are seriously the best reactor! I love how into these characters you are. Reliving these movies has been an absolute treat. Big big hugs. Can’t wait for Endgame, it’s going to be epic. Going on this 10 year journey when they were coming out all built up to this. When this ended, I’ve never wished for a year to pass so quickly in my life. Just to see how this concluded.
The showing before my time, the people coming out all had a look of shock and no one, no one, said a word. My showing audience made way for them as we were eager to get a seat, but everyone was walking so slow as if in pain. Normally people came out cheering, laughing, reminiscing about the movie; none of that. At the end of my showing, no one talked, it was quiet except sobbing and disbelief. The lights came on, no one moved for what seemed like a minute. We saw the next group waiting to come in, but we were all blank. Couldn't even think about what comes next because the world seemed to end. Only that one year later, something happens.
Thank you for not pausing the movie, as close (as can be) to how we saw it in the theater, no time to think, just gotta go with it. Awesome you were so collected at the end. Take it easy, come back to Marvel after a break. Ant-Man/Wasp is ok to move on to.
"all I'm saying boss is I think more people would be on our side if we doubled resources instead of killing half of everyone in the galaxy"
I’m sure Thanos is subconsciously aware of this, but despite his claims to the contrary he likes inflicting pain and acting as a god. Thanos uses his noble and righteous persona and justifications to disguise the fact he is just a violent megalomaniac with a god complex.
Exactly but it’s never said in the movies that Thanos is a madman who obsessed and in love with the goddess Death.
Well, when you think about it, doubling the resources could possibly mean that the growth of the Universe would be doubled as well, worsening the problem
@@matthewdunham1689 I don’t think the personification of Death is a thing in the MCU. That said, the writers did amazing with crafting Thanos into a compelling and complex villain without having to explain everything to the audience like they are dumb (although based on all the “bruh Thanos has a point” people out there, maybe some of them are a bit dumb lol)
@@sinixynta he could slow the birthing process, a million ways to make sure the balance between resources and life would be maintained. He didn’t even try to do anything but waste half the universe.
The movie is pure stress and sadness. It's absolutely legendary. I had the privilege to watch this in theaters and it was a sob fest. Packed audience. It was electric. A hundred people completely in sync. There wasn't a single person not sniffling through most of the movie. Walking back out afterward was complete and total silence. Not a person spoke until they were well into the parking lot. It's the closest thing to real life magic I have ever seen. I can't think of a single other ip that could devastate me in the manner in which this movie did. It's powerful and it hurts, but it's a strong, memorable story that sets up even more incredible storytelling. It's a masterpiece. Endgame was just as powerful and I am excited to see what you think of it.
That was BEAUTIFULLY stated. I relived my experience at the theater with your words, and honest to God, I was like a zombie leaving out with my then 12 year old son. In that particular instance, he had to be the adult & I was the kid; as he sweetly and calmly was basically insinuating to me " Mom, get it TOGETHER, you're supposed to be the one calming ME down" 😭😖🤦👀🤔🙄
Stef you lost dangerous amounts of water through tears, please rehydrate your body and be safe!
This is one of the best reactions to Infinity War i have ever watched, like Stef's emotions, and everything was perfect.
There's an article that I read and I, unfortunately, can't remember who wrote but it talks about how Thanos won this movie by being the only one who was readily willing to sacrifice. The only hero we see ready to do this is Vision but his sacrifice is delayed and flawed by everyone else not wanting to make the sacrifice. We also see Thor give a "half sacrifice" by partially giving up his ego by bringing forth Stormbreaker. Thor's downfall is not "going for the head" to get his face to face verbal get back with Thanos. In the end it is Thanos who does anything and everything he needs to do to get what he wants. Steve and Tony fail by letting the Avengers stay broken instead of reforming and becoming the powerful team we know they can be. Teamwork is Thanos' downfall and the battle on Titan is where we see a team beat Thanos only for Star Lord to, not make a sacrifice play, and ruin everything. SOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD and there's more to go. Cannot. Wait.
Doctor Strange also gave a big sacrafice

But by that point it was already too late to stop Thanos from winning, and before then Dr Strange had been unwilling to give up the Time Stone.
Strange’s sacrifice was with a view to the future
I've never seen a theater so solemn at the end of a movie. Everyone walked out line leaving a funeral.
The post credit scene was of Nick Fury sending a distress call to Captain Marvel. That’s her logo.
First time on the channel. One of the most genuine reactions I’ve see for this movie. I’m in.
Best movie ever!
Thank you very much for watching and sharing your reaction to this amazing, tough movie even though you're going through a hard time. You are a beautiful, authentic, thoughtful soul and it warms me through my own rough patch. ❤
Watch the movies in release order....do not skip any.
I remember going to go watch this with my friends. The amount of hype that was built as we waited for Endgame was so insane. Both of these movies felt like such insane events.
In the comics Thanos does this because he is in love with Lady Death which is Death itself and wants to impress her
My headcanon is that she has appeared to him and manipulated him his entire life. And that vision of young Gamora near the end? That's Lady Death basically asking, what did you sacrifice for me, my servant?
We were so used to seeing them all win at the end of every movie. What a sucker punch this was! Amazing.
Best marvel movie, period!!!
Part 2, let's go!!!
I have been watching the marvel movies since the very beginning in 2008 when Iron Man first came out in the movie theater! I went to the movies every year a new one came out, and I must say there was nothing like those times. Made it to infinity war now just wait for ENDGAME! These are one of my all-time favorite movies EVER!
Was wondering if you would recognize Tyrion!! Yes!!
Also Thanos for sure is the most successful villain to this point.. He accomplishes everything he wanted. Pretty much him and Zemo are the only ones to do that completely.
Memorable VERY early quote that applies to this movie:
Ivan Vanko in Iron Man 2: "you make a god bleed, people will cease to believe"
In this movie: Tony, a human man, is the 1st person to make Thanos, a would be god, bleed
Best thing you can do now, after a brief bout of heavy drinking and talking things out with a friend (who has seen this and can get you through it without spoilers!), is to watch the next couple movies soon, and get to Endgame. Imagine waiting a YEAR for Engame... you could do it in a week.
They spent 22 movies setting this up.. 22.... and so they were able to play our emotions like an instrument! Big virtual hug to ease your pain!
People always ask “why didn’t he just double the resources?” Planets can only hold so many people, doubling the resources would still lead to overpopulation and eventual lack of resources and all the negatives that come with overpopulation. What is easier, to unalive someone or to create life? It is much easier to destroy than to create.
starlord said that titan was 12 degrees off its axis, i saw somewhere in a clip that that 12 degrees would throw vegetation off a lot. if that was true thanos just messed up big time. even earth with a slight change in angles could derail everything, its a horrible domino effect
In reality he probably did it to stop Celestials from taken over planets 👀 He's the only one who knows, since he was an eternal and knows about their plans
The easy solutions are usually the wrong ones. He was called "The Mad Titan" for a reason, so getting him to change his mind or consider alternate solutions would be tricky. Plus, there's the whole "worshipping Death" thing from the comics that they modified for this movie so they didn't have to bring in Death herself
Убийство половины населения тоже не решит проблему. Через 3 поколения всё вернётся в изначальное состояние.
@@Hoeech exactly, I agree the easy solution is usually the wrong one, that’s true for most villains.
Honestly, watching her reacting to this movie and Black Panther has restored my faith in human beings. Her emotions are raw and so real. Had me crying along. I normally don't respond in the comments section, but I felt I compelled to this time. Makes me wish I could go back and erase my memory so I can see them for the first time all over again. Beautiful person inside and out.
Stef: Scarlett Witch shes awesome..
Yeeeea.. about that..🤨
She is
She still is 🔥
She got annoying after a while lmao. Like yea I get the trauma but she constantly makes things worse.
@@jaredwallace3270 is she? You watched Wanda/Vision?
@@archangel0891 dude Wandavision was amazing! It made Wanda one of the best characters and statistically made her one of the MOST beloved characters in the entire mcu
I knew this was going to hit you hard. It's a great series of movies. I absolutely love your reactions. Hang in there. This story is full of sorrow, joy, laughter and tears. You will enjoy yourself.
The ending of this film is devastating, and if I could I would give you a hug and tell you its going to be all right. The device Fury used at the end is a clue to the next film - Captain Marvel. Infinity War is part 1 of a two-part story that will be finished in Avengers Endgame, which Doctor Strange said "we're in the endgame now". There is hope, even if it doesn't look like it right now. The most important mouse in the universe hasn't made its appearance yet 🙂
Thanos is called "The Mad Titan". The first planet he tried to destroy half the life of is his own (the planet Titan). They fought back, and it ended up destroying everyone. So he decided he needs more power so the other planets can't fight back.
He *thinks* he is doing the right thing, but he is utterly insane and wrong. He *thinks* replacing body parts of the children he stole, like Nebula and Gamora, is an act of love. But they see it as an act of torture.
"There's no other way besides killing half the Universe?" - Stef. There's lots of other ways. But in addition to being insane, he's also an idiot. He could have sent teachers to show other planets how to live sustainably. He could have "terraformed" planets that were not habitable to make them livable. He could have imposed birth control on the overpopulated planets. That's something China actually did for about 30 years with their "one child" policy. I could probably think of a dozen more if I tried.
The other problems with Thanos' solution of killing half the Universe is that population here on Earth has doubled in the last 50 yours. If you removed half the people, the planet would fill up again in two generations, and you would be right back to the original situation. More advanced planets likely had already solved their population problem. So there was no need to kill off half of them.
Yep, this is why Thanos is such a good villain, he's delusional and thinks he's the hero
Idk
@@bullen9878 Yes, I'm a big Marvel fan and have kept up with all the films and nearly all of the TV shows, except the last couple I had not got to yet.
rollercoaster of emotions. i love seeing someone not afraid of showing them ❤
Stef, you are absolutely right. Most would say Thanos' plan doesn't hold up to the refrigerator test, but yo picked up on it immediately. It doesn't make sense. So it would seem Thanos lacks vision (no pun intended) imagination, or both.
@CritterPaladin Yeah, Thanos, with all the infinity stones, literally has the power of a god, like he can literally make new planets and countless resources to feed the universe without slaughtering trillions.
@@Peacemaker2024-A9T Though I guess it still makes him more relatablethan his comic book origin of having the hots for Death herself.
I remember when I watched this in the theater and I remember before the movie even began, I knew in the comics that pretty much all the avengers die. So going into the movie I was thinking "Well there's no way Disney has the guts to kill their major characters, even if it's temporary. They will probably find another way to show that the avengers lost to Thanos initially." But after seeing the movie I was not only shocked but so happy that they went through with it. The dread that everyone felt after leaving the theater shows just how well they handled it.
