Over a year ago I reviewed every Jolly game in the series. After that I reviewed Jollibee's Phase 1, but never got around to Jollibee's Phase 2. Today I changed that. So, is the game as good as people say? Or is Jollibee's Phase 2 Overhyped?

I loved how these games try to change the way fangames would be played, and I am actually kinda sad that they are not on gamejolt anymore. They where so different from the others. I love these games.

I really like the little things in this game, such as the little Funko they had of Jolliebee or how you can receive packages from organizations from different games on that box checking job (TF2's BLU Team, the Nuka-Cola factories and Vault-Tec, etc.) or how there's literally a man with the name Kevin Johnson which sounds like Cave Johnson (owner of Aperture Science)
It shows how much passion was put into the game !
The guy who made this is probably a big Valve fan.
The only reference I got was the Bioshock one (Boxes addressed to Fontaine Futuristics)
and let us not forget that kevin johnson and cave johnson both were trying the same thing

Now that I think about it, I think it’s weird how no one ever talks about the last part of the true ending of Jollibees 1, where the guy says “It’s over… we got him.” It really makes it sound like we’ve been playing as the guy that killed the children all this time to me
Mikhail Schmidt,the guard from the original first jolly game,is the dude that puts poison in the food(in jollibee's lore only,jolly 4 lore just makes the killer some random guy),The guard in Jollibee's is just a innocent man named Justin.However,if you play the custom night,the manager's phone call implies Mikhail is the guard in the custom night.
it feels weird seeing people talk about all these games years later, cause when i was around i remember being around the hype for these when they released, and now that they're not only lost media but the fact people are still talking about them blows my mind

Fun fact: There was meant to be a third game to the series called "jollibee's as above so below" It was to be a free-roaming game made using the Unreal Engine, but it ended up being cancelled due to copyright issues revolving between the real Jollibee restaurant and IvanG. but this lead to the making of jolly 4 which every thing ended good in the end besides the ban games
It does suck that happened, i saw a few images of the 3rd game in devlopment and judging how things were going it was gonna meant to be the final game in this series. I kinda wish the game was able to come out but hey at least we have jolly 4 now and who knows maybe we can get a easter egg or something about the jollybee's games there.

A real shame the actual restaurant filed against the fan game. It clearly did no harm to the brand, is Jollibees just struggling or something and averse to risk?
Edit: Hopefully enough see this, but I've been given some fairly solid arguments about this in the replies and even acknowledged them. Its still a shame that society cant just separate fact from fiction (not counting children, who themselves are still young and impressionable), but I ultimately dont blame the owners for doing what they did.

Credit where it’s due, this game was VERY creepy and I loved the dark lore. If they just made that part of the Jolly games and not based off of the irl Jollibee’s, this game could’ve surpassed a lot of games.
I never knew a sequel was made but didn't played it before it got deleted... Sadly I wish to jump into that opportunity but it's probably for the best since Filipinos tend to be worry for a lot especially with parents and certain incidents happened in local establishments. I know Jollibee wasn't based on the Real Life Jollibee were the poisoning didn't happened but if if everyone knew the Milk Tea Shabu/Drug Poisoning happened in Mid 2010s(around 2015 or less... I forgot when that happened) that almost killed the Milk Tea we all know and crave today.
One thing I would point out is that Jollibee’s Phase 2 when it came out was unbearably buggy at the time.
I’m surprised you found a version that was up to date.
Because on Launch, Popo and Yum sometimes would audibly leave your window, but sometimes would still kill you anyways. Along side that not having a sound to notify you that they left didn’t work as intended, which was later added back as a quiet sound cue
The printer Minigame was bugged and twirly’s AI was extremely aggressive in it, to the point it got nerfed 3 times.
The driving Minigame was originally the hardest because Jollibee was extremely fast.
And a whole lot more.
But the one bug that made everyone angry is sometimes twirly and jollibee in the main nights would still kill you even if you played by their rules.
Ivan even confirmed these bugs were a thing.
Some bugs were never really removed, some were subtly sweeped under the rug by making the AI weaker, as back on launch the AI was way faster and way more aggressive.
Another minigame that is broken is the forklift one where holding your breath wouldn't work.
Trace during the first phase: the side jobs are to easy
Trace on the second phase: *these jobs are to god damn hard*
I love the little Easter eggs in Box Checking. Like Vault-Tec ( 8:06 ) and Nuka Cola ( 8:19 ) boxes from Fallout, for example.

You forgot about the certificates, the custom night and an easter egg I'll explain later.
1- There are 3, which can be unlocked by finishing the 5 night shifts the game has:
- Incompletion Certificate (IC): The easiest one to get. You'll only have to pass the 5 nights without upgrading all your items at the 100% (not all of them. you could get the IC even you have "for example" the flashlight and the cameras upgraded at the 100% but not the rest).
- Completion Certificate (CC): The 2nd easiest one. Just upgrade all your items at 100% and beat the 5th night again (if you get the IC first of course).
- Showing Off Certificate (SC): This is the representation of HELL itself.
As the game lacks on replayability, you have to delete ALL your previous progress to replay the nights again and get the SC. You'll have to pass the story mode WITHOUT upgrading any item (if you do so you have to delete your progress and repeat again). This means the stability of the items are the lowest (your flashlight'll die really fast as well as the other systems (motion detect, cameras, audio and hack)).
Is LITERALLY a pain in the ass and the following night will be worse (5th night is a NIGHTMARE came true). In fact, it took me over a week to get it (this occurred on the summer of 2020 or...2021 i don't remember). However, if you manage to get the SC, you can easily get first the IC and the CC.
2- The custom night has nothing special about. The only achievement you'll get is the 5/20.
[With all previously mentioned here at this comment, you'll get the game completed at the 100%]
3- The easter egg that I mentioned. Beside some references to the Final Fantasy series in the Box Checking Job (this isn't fake) there's one that it's difficult to find and some people saw it (me included). I have no idea you know this FNAF fangame, but it's called "Dormitabis". I remember that the creator of this fangame had some controversy and made the purple guy assault a 15 year old girl who then becomes Chica and etc. But I'm talking about it's recent remaster that lore's comepletely different. And you will tell the difference behind the original and the remaster.

I still vividly remember running away from a mascot person, I think it was the spaghetti girl. I was genuinely terrified, and being very scared of dolls and anything that looks alive but doesn't like animatronics, and pictures of people, and faces didn't help at all. I remember running up an escalator before they could catch me, or so I thought they were trying to, maybe they weren't.

What gets me about this title is that it extends on the side lore of the Jolly series, the final cutscene is the Jolly 1 animatronics, and in Jolly 3, part 2 THAT IS KEVIN JOHNSON, THE RED MAN INSIDE JOLLY. It is such a different game, but connects well into that story as almost a whole other DLC to the original titles. I really want to see how both stories progress in their later games since both games are starting to crank up the story, and maybe there will even be a converge of both of these games into a single one as they intertwine so well. I am excited for what's ahead

Recently I have been playing the roblox game, five nights at marcus 2, and I am starting to see the sheer amount of similarities (most likely inspirations taken from Jollibee's) between the two games.

Man it really is such a shame that Jollibee filed against it us Filipino's loved the game even the ones that don't know FNAF, having representation like that was so cool but it was risky for the actual Jollibee since kids might believe this is true. 😭😭😭
