Eyewitnesses watched in shock as a small plane almost struck the Devils Thumb mountain in Colorado. The aircraft later landed safely at its destination.

Looks like the tail end of a badly executed but necessary Chandelle. At least that’s my humble two cents. Pilot flew through the canyon, suddenly realized it ended and had nowhere to go but to simultaneously climb and turn 180 degrees. Stalled, but managed to recover.
