Light of stars shine down on us still way more after they died. By having the memory of his music and way of he was being as human and as « the Wizard of the black & white keyboard » in heart, we human can him live long long time like every time i sit in front of a piano. For having changed my musical life, and much more with that so To you, Vladimir Horowitz
He plays Mozart as if it were an opera! It's the perfect interpretation. Holy fuck. The way Horowitz dived into Mozart into his late years, saying "only now I understand Mozart" is gorgeous. Can you imagine if Horowitz ever conducted a performance of any of Mozart's operas? Thank you so much for posting!
I am playing this sonata and this makes me want to learn from Mr. Horowitz. I go by a russian method and can recognize the principles from that book - not that I believe, he used it, because it wasn´t yet written in his time, but the basic technical characteristics are there - very recognizable.
On a different aspect: what is going with those people moving in the aisle and opening and closing that big door? It is surprising in a concert by no less than Vladimir Horowitz.
Porque el público ruso es muy culto, sabe de piano. Y no había suficiente aforo, por eso se cuela gente, por no perdérselo. Has visto la emoción de gente incluso que llora, con Schuman.
This was the historic recital that he gave in Moscow, 1986, as part of his return to Russia after 61 years. Most of the tickets were held by people that had elevated positions in society so many young Russian music students were unable to get in, which resulted in them breaking through police-erected barriers to get into the hall. Perhaps they are the people coming through the doors.
no one in the world will ever be able to play Mozart in this Divine manner
Zimerman
I so agree.. no one else.. just exquisite…

단 한 소절조차도 지루하지 않아서 너무 좋다.. 마치 이야기꾼의 이야기 같은 음악.. 그런 느낌이 음악에 있어서 가장 중요하다고 생각함
I can't even comprehend his touch. Otherworldly
He was a true gift from God to us
You are so right that it brings tears to my eyes.

Mozart, c'est toujours de l'opéra. Et Beethoven n'écrit que des quatuors ! Voilà le truc ! 😃
My favorite pianist playing my favorite composers music that andante cantabile is gorgeous. 6:14

His left hand barely moves
Horowitz was good but Wolfgang is terrible compared to my greatness
I'm just waiting for a dude with the amadeus profile pic to answer to ur comment
Then why did Chopin say don't play my music, play Mozart!
you son of.... warsaw!
Why did Mozart kill all his chickens?
Because when he asked them who was the greatest composer that ever lived they said “Bach, Bach”
