  • Out in the San Francisco Bay to chase some Halibut. My first bite came as a shock when it turned out to be my PB Striper after minutes of trolling. Bite for me was slow with 1 keeper Halibut at 24" and the 30" 10lb Striper. Wind was picking up so started heading in but decided to drag bait on my way in. Check my bait to what seemed had snagged a bunch of seaweed turned out to be another keeper Halibut at 24". Dropped bait again 5 minutes later I caught my limit of Halibut at 25". Was a great day on the water! Yu'us Ma'ase for watching and please don't forget to Like and Subscribe. Be sure to hit that bell to get notifications when I load new content. Esta Laterz.....Shootz!

Nice looks super calm out there. And there seems to be big striper this year 👌🏻🙏

The Smokin’ Salmon wind kicked in about 11. Yup this year the bay is filled with Striper along with the Halibut.

I'm looking for a good ocean/sf bay fishing kayak... any recommendations?

21st. Century Patriot Rob It all depends on the person and their budget. IMO Hobie is the way to go. Pricey but worth it. What I recommend is going to a local kayak shop and demo some kayaks in person so that you can get a feel for the different types that are on the market. Also take into account what type of fishing you plan on doing and if you also plan on crabbing or trolling in the ocean and bay.
