TRIP REPORT of my Laudamotion A321 flight from Palma de Mallorca to Berlin Tegel Airport. This flight was incredibly cheap! For this 2 hour 30 minutes long flight I only paid 4,99€ (under 6 US$)! Surprisingly the flight was not booked well at all! Only 40 passengers flew in this Airbus A321 with 212 Economy Class seats (which used to belong to Air Berlin and later Niki). The Inflight Service was ok however the diversity of meal options was very poor! Only two different sandwiches and a few drinks and snacks were offered for purchase. Compared to Ryanair for example this is nothing since they also offer 3-4 hot meal options in addition to several sandwiches on every flight (for purchase of course)! The flight arrived on-time in Berlin Tegel Airport which is good. Laudamotion only started offering flights from Berlin TXL to several holiday destionations like Palma de Mallorca on 1st June 2018! What are your thoughts about Laudamotion and their prices as well as their cooperation with Ryanair? Please keep in mind these were opening prices and only to try and fill the plane. Don't expect prices to stay this low! Seat for this wing view was 8F and 8A. stimmt... aber mittlerweile gehen die Preise wieder hoch.
War wahrscheinlich aufgrund der schlechten Buchungslage und weil die Route neu ist.
Damit verdienen die ihr Geld. Never ever "Ryan-Lauda". Einem bekloppten Iren und einem Schluchtenkacker der uns verarscht hat stecke ich kein Geld in den Rachen.
DAnk meiner Eltern müssen wir mit denen fliegen. Hm das Handgepäck ist wirklich mini, wenn man 35/20/22 als Handgepäck überschreitet steht man bei 10 mal so viel Kosten für das als der gesammte Flug, danke Airberlin

Bist du auch morgends nach PMI geflogen? wenn ja wie viel Zeit hattest du ca zwischen den Flügen? Überlege nämlich auch für einen Tag nach PMI zu fliegen.
Hab schon davon gehört. Toll, dass du mit nem 5 Euro flug geflogen bist. Daumen hoch

Ryanair has reached an agreement so that they soon can take over 100%, but then the aircrafts registration will soon be EI instead of OE and Ryanair will force irish laws upon the crewmembers

Ich werde wahrscheinlich PAD-PMI fliegen mit Laudamotion; ein Handgepäckstück ist erlaubt oder? Und macht man selbst den Online check in oder werden einem die Plätze zugeordnet?
1 Handgepäcksstück ja. Online Check in 1:1 wie bei Ryanair (also es kostet 50€ mehr wenn du am Airport eincheckst soweit ich weiß). Sitzplatz kannst du vorher kaufen oder du bekommst zufällig was zugeordnet.
Ok a trip from Berlin to Mallorca uses about 4t of fuel witch results in 38.5 Euros pro passenger if there are 40 of them, that's just fuel. I guess Ryanair helps them out quiet a bit financially.
Tokyosukidesu Well, you do forget quite a few things. First of all, Laudamotion need the attention of the public to get better known and to become more popular. Also, the 5€ ticket is only available for the first few passengers. The tickets get way more expensive with time and with more people booking the flight. This means that they can use the 5€ ticket as a big advertisment, even though most passengers pay way more. In addition, there are not many passengers, because Laudamotion is a fairly new airline. So you couldn't book their tickets in advance. Therefore most people going to Mallorca already had their flights booked with different airlines, like Ryanair or Eurowings. I hope this clarifies things.

How can that be profitable? Selling flights for €4,99 then having 40 people in an A321? This isn’t going to end well for Laudamotion unless they start filling their planes up...
Great Trip Repart as always, really enjoyed it! Must’ve been fun to have all that space... reminds me of my half empty easyJet flight from Hamburg, that was an awesome flight! Loads of room all to myself to film in! Excellent detail, awesome sound on take off roll and great views, scenery + wing! Liked as always my friend! :)

I for myself will have to thank you so kindly to invited me onboard this "LAUDAMOTION" PMI - TXL service. Yes. This is (was) a typical former "airberlin" aircraft. But I,d like the very new looking cabin of this A321. Does this airline doesn,t published an inflight magazine yet?

Naja Handgepäck wird eher auf Menge/Größe gecheckt - so wie bei Ryanair halt. Also 2 Handgepäckskoffer werden sie dich bestimmt nicht mitnehmen lassen, aber sonst kein Problem

I'm actually flying to Stuttgart with Laudamotion this Sunday, the interior looks great for a budget airline and the exterior paint design is very clean and pleasant, Ryanair actually own Laudamotion so they should do the same with the Ryanair fleet as they are horrible.!

WICKED ticket price !!! ... incredible amount of empty seats on this "ghost flight" While this is not a new airline, I`m confident it will pick up, Mr Lauda knows how to run a successful business with 14 new routes including the Middle East starting in October 2018. Hard push with only 8 aircraft, but I wish him well. Great flight report PSB, love Tegel, used it many times to visit family, much better than shit-hole Schonefeld !.... Liked the Hainan at the end :))

No he does not know.. he "killed" 2 airlines before this thing started and NIKI was never his airline because it was started as a AirBerlin company.. now he resurrected this zombie and immediately sold it to the worst airline in existence (seen from humanity perspective)
He should have never got the rights to buy AirBerlin and this thing should ground ASAP and he should get sentenced to never be allowed to found an airline EVER again

Weißt du zufällig wie viele Flugbegleiter an Bord waren? Ich frag mich immer wieso man nen a321 mit knapp über 200 sitzen bestuhlt. Man braucht dann 5 Flugbegleiter anstatt 4 wenn man nur 200 Sitze hat... Kann mir selbst bei voller Hütte nicht vorstellen dass sich für 12 Passagiere ein ganzer Flugbegleiter lohnen kann

Es waren 5. Laut internationale regelung muss für 50 sitze 1 Flugbegleiter da sein. Bei 212 sind es dann 5 egal ob nur 40 passagiere da sind oder 212.
Daniel Mirk die Regelungen kenne ich. Die Lufthansa hat aber zb auch theoretisch 205 Sitze blockt aber permanent 5 davon um eben den einen Flugbegleiter zu sparen

Normaler Weise sind die Flieger die nach Mallorca hin oder auch zurückfliegen rand voll und bei dir sind nur wenige Passagiere mit an Board für ein Flug für nur 5 € schon Krass aber Super Video:)

The 4,99€ does not pay for for the airport landing fee and security check, forget about fuel, leasing cost and in flight personals.Enjoy your flight and keep looking for good promotions, but don't be surprised if this flight is removed or if the airline goes bankrupt.

No. They just don't have painted the jets into the new colours. Now Laudamotion only has 1 repainted... its not the new air Berlin since it belongs to Ryanair but they do operate A321's that used to belong to Air Berlin ;)

Yeah i guess you could say that. You can only buy tickets via the Ryanair website and they are the 75% share holder now.

Definitiv kein Traumjob mehr, die Zeiten sind vorbei. Leider. Ist leider wie busfahren geworden. Größtenteils Systemüberwachung... Bei 747-200, L1011 & DC 10 da hätte ich es definitiv nicht nur beim PPL belassen. :) Hab meinen PPL mit ME & IFR- mir langt es für die heutige Zeit.
