I think the soundtrack is amazing. It keeps the same tones of the original and add onto it. Familiar yet not the same. Like if you were to visit your hometown and stuff was changed around. Like someone you knew moved or a store closed down but the building still stands there
It's a new version of Letters or Wishful Thinking, which was originally heard in SH2 (2001) when James first reads Mary's letter at the start of the game.
in muy opinion Is the worst. The added bass makes the moments sleazy af, giving p9rn vibes, alongside with some instruments that sound particularly fake/stock. The drums are weirdly mixed and sound too clean. I rather have a dirty and ethereal sound to express the flaws and otherworldly sexuality of Maria than an overtly sleazy song pointing towards sex as a basic desire. On the former you could sense a unfulfilled sexual tension that escapes bodily constraints, in the later the mere corporal consummation of sex.

This actually isn’t the full soundtrack, oddly. The game seems to use the same tracks from the original in some places, is that the reason? I’m specifically referring to Alone in the Town, but also the credits track?

That second half of "White Noise" made me take out my classical guitar to do that using the tremolo technique
