Hey Kyle, the reason why there is a letter on the ring that needs to face up is because there is a small chamfer on the inside ringdiameter. This chamfer deflects the force from the combustion from only downwards to a small portion outwards, so the ring is pushing itself more against the bore, creating a better seal. I hope this is helpful, keep making awesome build videos!
I love when the hatch goes into boost and pegs the speedo from tire spin. When the RPMs are seemingly at redline, But as it gains grip it pulls more and more! Haha

Look into the CNC Werx Cylinder support system. I had it done to my b18 I’m going for 600whp, they’ll replace the block if it cracks the sleeves under 500whp

I had a ycp piston kit for my b20 84.5mm high compression pistons, king bearings and shot pinned rods. Super good set up !! Surprised me for sure recommend anyday especially for under 300 bucks !!
Hey just FYI, a lot of us DSM guys run fel-pro head gaskets, me included. With head studs and proper installation there good for 25-28psi, I run 24psi daily. Plus the composite head gaskets are more forgiving on the deck surface not being exactly flat, which I'm sure you already knew. But he'll be fine.
Hey guys you should not stop spinning the hone until it is out of the cylinder bore because the way you stopped and slid it out cause vertical scratches in your cylinder wall
I had 11.0:1 nippon pistons and scat rods in my gsr on 8lbs @298whp on 91 and detonated it and melted a piston and scored the cylinder wall 3hrs after the dyno. Pretty sure it was the tuner because he thought nippons were forged and it wasnt my usual tuner and i just needed something to run on at the time. Now i bought a darton sleeved b20 block and transfering everything over and using wiseco 10.5:1 forged pistons this time and upping the boost on E85 on the dyno next week. #lessonlearned #sticktoyourtuner
I think you should see how much power you can make with the b20 then he needs to get a gsr block and you all build it with arais pistons like your mini van motor

You need to add more cranking fuel at colder temps with e85 and they will start right up. Try doubling it when it’s below freezing. 👍
