- On December 23, 2022 in Florida, an officer recognized a woman at a Wawa who had fled from him two weeks earlier. She was seated inside of her vehicle in a parking stall. When he instructed her to turn off the vehicle, she refused and attempted to escape. This is body-cam footage of the events that followed.
Footage on Body Cam Watch is for educational purposes only. All information has been supplied by local law enforcement agencies and is considered by law to be public information. The subjects in these videos are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. She acts like her car is a safe space and as long as she stays in there, she can't get arrested. What an absolute child.

There is a video where they did the same thing with a teen driver. Gave him many options. They finally broke the window and tried to get him out. He grabbed a gun from under the dash and killed both officers. It’s dangerous giving suspects more time than allowed.

I’ve watched hundreds of videos like this, it continues to baffle me how people think they can just ask over and over “what did I do?!” To get out of the situation they’re in.
They believe there's a law that if you ask what did I do or what are the charges more than 20 times they have to let you go 🙄🙄🙄🙄
For her to ask “for what” in this situation is absurd given the fact she has 65 charges on her, and she’s getting more by the looks of it.
At this point it’s less of a “for what” and more of what *ISN’T* she being arrested for.
I think they have some hazy idea that in court it will make them look innocent and baffled by these false allegations that have been put on them. But that gets especially ridiculous when they openly start breaking the law on the scene, resisting and even assaulting the officers, fleeing, etc. Even if you were somehow innocent to start with you are definitely guilty now. They aren't going to drop the assault charges just because it turns out that you weren't guilty or the original crime. All they need is probable cause to detain you for investigation, you have no legal right to refuse. But then again, most of them probably know that in reality they won't get any serious consequences anyway. It's weird to see how hard it is to actually go to jail in the US when at the same time people constantly complain about the massive overcrowding of the prisons and how the US locks up way more people than most places. I guess we just have a really bad crime problem so that they can be overcrowded even while we only put a fraction of the offenders into jail.

This is ridiculous, why is the window not smashed the moment she first refused to listen? She's already fled once. I'm surprised how lenient prosecutors are nowadays on fleeing and eluding charges. Should be one of the worst charges imo.

They have to give multiple commands and chances for the suspect to follow the officers order. If they broke the window the first time she ignored the officers she could easily argue she couldn't hear the officers.

On my father was a cop back in the 60s and 70s. He only gave one chance to listen to his commands or there were consequences. Ironically, all of my friends in school respected the way he treated them, and they listened to instructions. Nine times out of 10 they would go home for the night without getting in trouble just because they respected what he was asking them to do.
