My clothesline swallows think they are magpies and swoop on me every time I go out. As if something that small has me concerned , even if it is doing 80kmh. It is a thrill to see them turn away 20cm from my eyeball. I occasionally get a magpie couple and chicks land on my lawn and a pheasant wandering around.
Mandi has 26 paralysis bats now, but the earlier ones who just need some TLC not IVs and toileting and hand feeding, are going to another carer for some aviary time, so she only has about 14 in the early stages now.
The magpies have a sense of entitlement; the currawong is polite and waits till he's served, and the butcherbird is a delight where he waits patiently, then when I toss up a chicken heart into the air he swoops and grabs it, and turns around so he doesn't crash into me. The noisy miners are just "noisy", demanding and fast and feel I owe it to them to supply mealworms on demand.
@@Megabattie I really need to be educated on the names of the Birds. Sorry! You are feeding not only a Magpie but also a Currawong, Butcherbird and Miners.🙄😂👍🥰
I've had a pair of crested pigeons hanging around my place lately. It's probably because I get very "messy" and "accidentally" throw handfuls of sorghum onto the grass. I might have to get a bag of mealworms to soak and scatter for the local insectivores too.
What wonderful hospitality and charming ambience you provide your avian diners. They give five-star for the haute cuisine provided...and seem to have dressed in formal feather attire. 😋
Apparently it's not complete. I'll have to figure out why because I know I edited it all. That will have to be later in about an hour when I have time to look into the issue.
These birds are Australian magpies? So are they also called butcherbirds and/or currawongs. Or are those all different? I'd tried looking it up but they just kept grouping them altogether under the black and white birds of Australia. I'm so confused, lol.
These are Australian Magpies in the video. The butcherbirds are a lot smaller and have more white. Magpies and butcherbirds have glorious songs. Currawongs are mostly black with beady yellow orange eyes and with white flashes on their tail. Currawongs have harsher calls which I wouldn't call songs.
Mmm, yeah, I wondered why nobody was commenting on me decorating the teats. I'll have to figure out what I did wrong that the teats didn't end up in the video.
Thank you, wonderful person, for caring about living beings
You are the bestest dear Meg 🇨🇦🦇🍁
Happy Christmas 🎄 to you Meg & family & friends God bless you. Love from England.
The Magenpies❤
I read the title and was going to say none of these food scarfing, freeloading big mouths are dummies. Then I read your comments about making teats.
😁

Meg, your patio is pretty and peaceful with the sound of Magpies in the background.
🦇🌈🌸🌱
It's noisy with the various birds all screaming and stopping by to check out whether or not I have put out food, but it's a good noisy.
@Megabattie Wherever there is food, wildlife magically appears with plenty of customers.Lol. 🦇🦜😊
Merry Christmas Meg.🌲. Sad to hear about the situation up in Queensland with paralysis syndrome.

@@Megabattie I am very sorry to hear this.😢

@@Megabattie Got it! Thanks, so many Birds on our planet, bless them ALL.🥰

It's amazing how clumsy you can get when there are birds around distracting you.

Definitely formal in penguin tuxedos
Is the video incomplete? I don’t see you decorating dummies. I don’t see dummies or teats. The little pot garden looks nice.

Merry christmas !! get yourself some amber nectar on me.
Only bubbles, and they're a fine straw colour, not amber. I don't do amber
@Megabattie love a good prosecco with a dash of blackberry syrup or one of those edible rosella flowers ( sorrel )
I don't like to adulterate my bubbles with other flavours

I lumped them all together too but I simply don't know every Bird on our planet, it's so mind blowing. I love them ALL!🥰
Happy Saturday Meg, video is only 44 seconds, was that all? Apologies if I'm mistaken.
