The paste waxes can be used as an extra layer of protection or to restore the surface after the item has been used for a while.

Looking very good, but it's a pity that you don't ship to good old Germany!

I have been using your High Build Walnut Friction product with very good results. My only wish is for more gloss. Will one of these paste wax products create more gloss or do I just keep building with the friction product?

The best way to improve shine is to improve the surface. Use a sanding lubricant (Walnut Finishing Oil), and seal the surface with dilute shellac. Sand to a finer grit than you think you need. Many coats of HBFP (up to 10) can be applied. A high gloss finish is not what I wanted when I developed these finishes but a topcoat of paste wax (DOC-105 is my preference) will add some shine.

Thanks. I do sand down pretty fine; sometimes 2000 grit but I don't use any sanding lube or sealer. I will try those and see what I get. CA works but I'm not super happy working with that stuff.

Where did you get your wood Turner jacket at?

These came from Lee Valley but I have not seen them in the recent catalogs.
