    ► amzn.to/3ZCyv2r
    Magnus Carlsen is a Norwegian chess grandmaster who is the former five-time World Chess Champion, reigning four-time World Rapid Chess Champion, and reigning six-time World Blitz Chess Champion. Arguably the greatest Chess player of all time, Carlsen has held the No. 1 position in the FIDE world chess rankings since 1 July 2011 and trails only Garry Kasparov in time spent as the highest-rated player in the world. His peak rating of 2882 is the highest in history. He also holds the record for the longest unbeaten streak at the elite level in classical chess.
    He became a grandmaster at the age of 13, the second youngest in history at the time, and quickly established himself as a rising star in the world of chess. In 2013, Carlsen won the World Chess Championship and has since defended his title multiple times, solidifying his position as one of the greatest players of all time.
    Carlsen is known for his exceptional skill in the fast-paced bullet chess format, where he regularly defeats other top players in high-pressure matches. He has been compared to legendary chess players such as Garry Kasparov and Bobby Fischer for his strategic abilities and quick-thinking, earning him the respect and admiration of his peers. His greatest rival in the chess world is American Rapid & Blitz specialist Hikaru Nakamura, against whom he has had many intense battles.
    In addition to his impressive track record in competitive chess, Carlsen is also known for his willingness to take on challenges outside of the traditional chess world. He has played chess against artificial intelligence and has even competed in the World Blitz and Rapid Championships, where he won multiple gold medals. In recent times, Carlsen has turned to playing Poker, of which he has had limited success. With his natural talent and dedication to the game, Carlsen continues to be a dominant force in the world of chess and a true legend in the sport.

    • @rhysgriffiths9675

    Над большинством конкуренетов Магнус расправляется делая фору - ход. Подозрительно стоял в партии с Макаряном. Но, это Блиц и тут оценки нужно всегда сопоставлять с запасами по времени. Рудик истратил все время, когда у Магнуса было еще более минуты. В общем, пару Титульников за вечер - думаю, все увидели "кто здесь Ху". Вопросов ни у кого не возникает.

    34:11 why not just take the bishop right away? Would have gotten rid of the passer.

    • @rhysgriffiths9675
      @rhysgriffiths9675 6 місяців тому

      Because he can capture the bishop any time.. the bishop is pinned to the defense of the g pawn. He waited for his opponent to waste a tempo on Rh6 to free up his bishop, THEN he capture the bishop... therefore Magnus won an extra tempo in the endgame.
      Also if white captures the bishop immediately, black recaptures with the rook and white's e pawn is hanging, probably resulting to 2 pawns vs 1 pawn which is probably a draw.

    • @Kevin-gb7lk
      @Kevin-gb7lk 6 місяців тому +9

      Cheating is an issue, but there's a other couple reasons for this. One is that rating starts to heavily cap out at 2900-3000. VERY few people are above 3000. Which means that if you are 3000 or above, you mostly start play people who are mostly 2 or 300 rated lower than you because that's all that's available. Which means if you win you get generally gain like 2 or 3 rating points, losing a game means losing -15 rating points or so. This makes it very difficult to gain rating at that level. Also, a lot of super GMs often just don't play online often (or at all), allowing some particuarly committed GMs, IMs and even FMs who are good at online blitz to gain more rating points than they would normally
