Hi Britta - I read 'The Memory Police' in 2019 and it made a deep impression. I don't particularly like dystopian novels, but I like contemplative stories. It is not a book that I loved, but I remember it fondly because it is so very strange. I noticed that Yōko Ogawa just published a new book a few weeks ago, 'Mini's Matchbox'. I read Ann Truitt's 'Daybook' a number of years ago and just yesterday decided to read it again. I am an artist in a bit of a dry spell and looking for inspiration. I look forward to hearing what you have to say about it.

Hi Melanie, yes, Memory Police is a book that stayed with me as well! I have Min's Matchbox in the list, thank you. I hope Daybook will help you to get over the creative dry spell! 🤞
Danke, da waren mal wieder sehr interessante Bücher dabei.

Hello Britta, Thank you for the video ! Maja Lunde's books sound very interesting. Do you think I should read them in the right order to properly appreciate them?

Book 2 (The End of the Ocean) and book 3 (Wild Horses) should be read in order. I can't tell you why, though, sorry, that would be too much of a spoiler... You can read the first one (The Bees) before or after the others. I hope that helps!
Hi Britta, I was wondering if you are doing your “30 books in 30 days” this month as in years past? I noticed some of those books were slimmer so I think you are doing it. I would love to see your tops and flops this month. I do like how you show the book when you are speaking about them. I watch other booktubers who do not do that and it can get confusing if you misheard the title and then wondering what book are they referring to!

Thank you very much for your compliment! And no, I decided not to do the 30 in 30 this August, there was just too much going on in my personal life. And I will try and bring the tops & flops back, thank you for reminding me.
I enjoyed reading Joan Didion with you! She is one of my favorite authors.
Thank you for the reviews. Enjoyed the video.😊
Happy to hear that, thank you!
I'd forgot about The Memory Police! I do want to read it, and have now put a hold on it at the library. Thanks for reminding me!😊
Oh, thats wonderful, I hope you will like it!
You’re doing great for WIT month! 🏆
Thank you! I feel very accomplished! ☺️
Wow, The Last Wild Horses sounds fantastic. Those are conservation questions that come up all the time!
I think as a scientist you'd really enjoy Wild Horses!
I didn’t know you read The Memory Police this month too!
I decided to re-read the book after I saw you mentioning it in your vlog. ☺️

That's very helpful, Britta. Read a sample chapter of The Bees, I think i will enjoy Maja Lunde's writing.
