I loved this bag and finally found the instructions from Sulky and googling the cork. I’m an experienced stitch artist and even I had issues with this bag. You should have broken it down into two sections instead of starting with adding the feet!

That was what I said but I was looking for her to finish sewing the bag around the top of the bag. I have some cork fabric and I can’t get it right either way I may have wasted money on it. Love to see some of your bags you sew.

4/8/22: Good gosh, that bag is absolutely gorgeous. Looks store-bought from a high-end store. Love it! Hi Debbie. Love this bag...thanks for sharing it. I have a question, though. Is the rule of thumb usually that, when doing a tote bag with a square bottom, or any tote bag for that matter, should the lining be 1 inch longer at the bottom?

Wish your pattern had pictures for reference and definitely what is the width and height when cutting and would make it easier when ❤assembling your bag. Too much guessing.

Hi, Great video I was hoping to see you finish off sewing the top stitching around the top of the bag . I have a question did you sew on the same machine. The reason I asked is I have a hard time getting my machines to do it perfectly. Any tip you can share I can appreciate. Thanks for sharing 🙏

Is the pattern on the website? I could not locate show 1702 on the website and therefore could not find the pattern.

Would love to make this tote with a zipper closure. Would a zipper be a difficult addition?

Free pattern and video instructions available for the Baker Street Bag from Sew Sweetness. You would have to modify the dimensions to fit the dimensions of the tote. I would recommend making a Baker Street Bag first, so you understand how the dimensions are configured as related to the size of the bag, then make this tote bag with a zipper using your new dimensions, but using the zipper instructions for the zipper in the Baker Street Bag.

The directions for the zipper pocket are very unclear. Is there anyway to post a complete tutorial for making this bag? If not at least a video tutorial for the inside pockets?

The cork looks so fragile. Will it hold up on a wallet or purse?

There are different qualities of cork - make sure you get one that has a nice backing, from Fabric Funhouse or Sallie Tomato. If you are using it for something that will get a lot of wear and tear, the areas along seams will eventually sort of "peel" but that's going to be true for a lot of fabrics, too. Overall I really enjoy the look of it and it is fun to work with!

I have the directions and a little confusing. I know on the show you can’t show all but it would be nice if you had pictures with the directions and go over all the pieces that are in front of you.

The video would of been better if there was more showing of the actual process than just showing partly finish pieces and talking.
