i have a lot of suggestions to shows you should react to i dont know if you read this but if you do then some suggestions: centaurworld, ducktales, amphibia, the owl house, the last kids on earth, gravity falls, milo murphy's law, and disenchantment. hopefully you'll react to some of them one day mybe all of them i'm sure you get a lot of suggestions from people but i do hope you will have the chance to react to these shows ps my grammer is not that good so if i had mistakes in spelling or grammer then sorry about that and also i really enjoyed your reactions thank they were very fun

Adora and Catra's promise being mentioned again was such a brilliant move because now that Catra recognizes her harmful behaviors, she is also able to recognize that while Adora did break her promise in a way, Catra did as well. Catra is determined to mend that promise after being the one to completely shatter it and to look out for Adora now that Adora can't look after herself.

I've seen a lot of people claim that if Adora was willing to forgive Catra she should have been willing to forgive Shadow Weaver and that is just not true. The core difference between Catra and Shadow Weaver is that Catra genuinely regrets her actions and is actively working on changing herself and getting rid of her bad behaviors. Shadow Weaver only went to the Rebellion because she had absolutely no other choice and she continued to do "the right thing" because that was the thing that would save her skin. She keeps manipulating people, doesn't regret a single thing she did and isn't willing to even try to change herself, and is only willing to put in actual work when confronted (like when she teleported herself and Catra only when Catra yelled at her. Also, fun fact, she was drunk when Catra confronted her). They both did bad things, but one is willing to admit her mistakes and change herself, and the other would rather die than do so.
Not to mention that you cannot compare forgiving your warden who lied to you and abused you and your best friend ALL YOUR LIFE to forgiving your traumatised teenage peer you've been inseparable with since childhood.
Also catra literally apologized which for some people see. Insincere and not enough but catra always said she won’t say sorry to anyone ever and yet she did she put in hard work where as ShadowWeaver never said it and said it’s to late for me and said you welcome. Your welcome your fricken welcome no you deserve nothing because all you ever wanted was credit from the start.

My favorite thing about this show is that it takes the heroic sacrifice trope as this glorious display of selflessness as a self-demonstrative good in accordance with culturally Christian morality, and says "No. No, that's unhealthy, and it comes from a thoroughly unhealthy place. People can achieve more together than they can apart." I'm pretty sure it's unintentional, but other people have pointed it out: the ending of She-ra reads as a deconstruction of the ending of Harry Potter. The mentor orders the protagonist to die for the greater good, and the protagonist promptly marches off to do so, without the friends they have made along the journey. The difference is in how the story chooses to frame it.
It's not a great Comparison since Dumbledore didn't 'order' Harry to do anything. Harry ultimately made the choice to sacrifice himself by himself...which, in turn, was what brought Victory and the Happy Ending about, since the selfless nature of his Sacrifice powered the Magic that turned the Tables on Voldemort. I think both approaches to Heroic Sacrifice have merit, though, and both work for their respective Stories. Personally, I also think She-Ra does it better, but that's neither here nor there.

@@Carabas72 Nope. That was one factor, but Harry also genuinely had to be willing to make that sacrifice for the same Protection Magic he got from his mother to be put on everyone at Hogwarts. That was why none of the Curses Voldemort used on them afterwards during the Final Battle had any major effect, which otherwise would've killed a lot of People.
You have to remember that Dumbledore didn't intended for Harry to die, just to kill that last horocruxe's that live in him, therefore he had to die but not stay dead, since that only served to make Voldemort completely mortal but not to defeat him, and he made sure that Harry could comeback to life by hiding the phylosofer stone until the time was right, it was a very long game to play and questionable at times, because he could have been clear from the beginning and made Harry aware of it, but Dumbledore wasn't perfect by any means, Harry found mentorship and learn more important lessons from other characters during the whole story that helped him at the end. I agree that She-ra message about the unhealthy trope of heroic sacrifice did inteded to controvert the so called cristian morality, because they made it plainly clear with no room for interpretation, i think in benefit of the kids that watch the show, 'You are worth more that what you can give to other people' is a lesson that many adults still struggle to accept in there own lives.
one of the moments i really love in this episode is adora seeing all the versions of catra growing up and hitting us with the fact adora has loved catra no matter what 😭 this episode for me is when the tears began and NEVER stopped till about an hour after finishing part 2
Seahawk: “ You know, this is actually kind of nice. Doesn't it remind you of the first time we met? You also tried to kill me then.” “Couldn't wait to sweep me off my feet?” Mermista: “UGHH WHY are you LIKE this?
I just love it so much that in between all the heavy action and dramatic events for the main characters, Seahawk gets his moment in the finale. And it is a glorious moment.
What an episode; honestly, Mara's pep talk of "You're worth more than what you can give to other people" kind of makes me cry with just how true and powerful it is. Not just kids, but adults need to hear that. Also, Adora's visions of Catra are heartbreaking, as, just for a moment, she allows herself to step away from She-Ra responsibilities and actually believe that she can just accept being here and happy; the way her breath catches and she just considers what she actually wants for a change... ...And in a second, it all disappears, and all she can do is swallow her pain and march on. Believing, once again, that what she wants can never happen and doesn't matter.
I will say this again. How did none of the voice actors get an award for their acting😮😭 Seriously lines like " Youre worth more what you can give to other people" Gives me absolute goosebumps❤️
The "you are worth more than what you can give to other people" scene is actually what initially convinced me to watch the show back in 2020. I saw a gifset of it not long after it aired and it was just so... potent. Media often puts self-sacrifice on a pedestal, and while sometimes its necessary, its tragic and painful and its good to see a show acknowledge how unhealthy self-sacrificial tendencies can be, and how they often come from a place of low self-worth and trauma.
@@CharlotteSWeb-oh7ou The thing about it that sticks out to me is how . . . mature that line is. Most kids shows, when discussing love, use words like "I like/love them", but "want" sounds like something out of a soap opera, and not in any cheesy or dramatic way.

The beggining of the end!! Seasons 4 and 5 as a whole were heartbreaking, but these two episodes completely shattered me. Every time I rewatch it I just can't hold back my tears man. Also, the best friend squad this episode is so wholesome, I love them sm.
Mara’s speech to Adora makes me cry every time. And the fun part is, this place works off of Adora’s feelings and memories so this is basically Adora’s subconscious telling her that it’s okay to want things and she deserves love. Like frick me. Shadow Weaver was so drunk when Catra found her. Listen, she’s even slurring her words. Oh my good I’m excited for the finale.
I remember watching this for the first time in 2020 and this was where the tears started for a lot of people and straight up did not stop until the end.
Part 1 of the finale actually contains, for me personally, the most emotional moment of the series. You see, emotional moments hit hardest when you least expect them. And one really good way to catch an audience off-guard is to follow up one emotional moment with another straight afterwards. That way, the audience is too busy working through the first emotional moment to prepare themselves for the next emotional moment. And Part 1 of the finale contains a chain of emotional moments that just completely overwhelmed me the first time I saw it. 1) Catra's "I'll stay. I can't lose her again! I promised her a long time ago I would look out for her. Its time I made good on that." 2) Glimmer, Bow and Meelog comforting Catra. 3) Glimmer's love confession. 4) Adora being told she's worth more than what she can give to other people. The finale is an emotional rollercoaster, and for me this is the most intense part of it.
I was rewatching the episode to prepare for the reaction and I just realized that right when Catra is talking about her promise with Adora Promise is playing in the background (or at least the first few notes of it) and I'm this close to crying all over again fjdiskjlsfjsfsfdsf
I suspect the writers had something more substantial planned but ran into serious time troubles and had to cut a ton of stuff. I imagine the catra-scorpia interaction was probably one of the last things they cut out because you really notice its absence.
I watched the entirety of She-Ra a couple summers ago when I had just left an abusive household and had still been realizing that it was in fact abuse. “You are worth more than what you can give to other people” and earlier in the show when Catra had her breakdowns about Shadow weaver made me absolutely sob. That realization of A) a parental figure you looked up to having actually been actively harmful and B) that you are worthy of a good life simply for existing are not easy. It was not a good summer to ALSO watch atla for the first time and get gutted by Zuko’s arc in a similar manner lmao
Just because I know you guys already finished the show: the creators did confirm that Catra and Adora never really forgave Shadoweaver regardless of the grief they felt for her death
I can't believe it just rewatching this ep again and hearing Entrapta say ( I'm sorry) was scary and sad because she has been working so hard to stay focused on her job to save the world and she almost had it and she knew her thing was going to work because she is so good at her job, and everyone should of have said thank you to her for saving the whole world with bow's help. With a her teac she couldn't do it without the princesses to distract the bots but she has come a long way since season 1 im so proud of her.
So final fight begins. I love so much how every member of alliance entered battlefield. That was really badass and of course Frosta beat everyone with that. It's so heartbreaking how our girl Adora keeps pretending that everything ok but she's upset about Catra leaved her and scared generally about whole situation. Does anyone remember last time she slept? Adora keeps saying that she has to do it on her own but in fact she needs support so much. She just can't say it out loud. She wants her friends to be safe and that's why she pushing them away. I get it. Adora is really the only one who can fix everything but on her own? Not in this emotional state. (Hero complex is so messed up. Maybe that's why I love Adora so much. She's too reletable. So does Marcy😔) "You saw what happened, Adora chose Shadow Weaver okay not me. Adora doesn't want me. Not like I want her" So it's not Adora who jumped into the void after you and broke her fucking legs🤨 I love s5 best friends squad dynamic. Catra always was the missing part. Now it's perfect. The way Bow hugged them😭 Oh god here comes the saddest part. The whole Mara's speech bring tears and goosebumps every time I watch it. "I never wanted to die. I sacrificed myself so you would never have to" She didn't deserve to end like this😕 "You worth more then what you can give to other people. You deserve love too" God I wish my girl Mara has more screen time. It would be so cool if she was some kind of mentor to Adora. Maybe things would be different. It was a damn long comment. Thanks to everyone who read my thoughts. Can't believe we're ending this show next week.
Forreal. Mara's the single most underrated character in the show, and her communicating with the next She-Ra and bestowing some GENUINE wisdom is just 😙👌
So many people say that Bow and Glimmer came out of no where when I thought they were instantly together from their FIRST interaction. I think people just aren't used to healthy relationships built on friendships

So interesting of a thought not often explored with heroes. The concept that you are allowed to have your own life. That saving others isn’t all that there is. Also what was that soundtrack being used during discussion question #2? I need it in my life lol.
Horde Prime is such a cool and terrifying villain! That scene where he began possessing the entire planet was exquisitely chilling. But what I found most interesting this episode was Prime's dialogue about Mara and himself: *_"How strange. I must have fought her, must have known her face... But I have no memory of it. I've seen so many like her over the years, one by one their faces have been lost to oblivion. Just as yours will be."_* Prime has lived for hundreds/thousands of years, so much so that he cannot physically contain all of his collective memories and experiences in one body, as shown when he and Hordak went to that massive chamber to access the memories stored in of one of his countless previous vessels. There's so much of Horde Prime's own long life that he might not even remember in his current form; for all we know, Prime may not even remember the original reason why he's doing all of this in the first place -- the events, experiences and people that may have led him to decide that he needed to conquer the universe in order to bring peace to it. For all we know, Prime may have been a good person in the beginning, but eons of passing from body to body, filling his brain with memories and experiences before casting them away to start almost completely afresh may have twisted him into a completely different person with different morals and methods. Also, Prime has fought and defeated so many powerful enemies that even former She-Ras seemingly aren't worthy of retaining in his mind. And since we know he wiped out the entire empire and race of the First Ones (aka. the Eternians) besides Adora alone, it's very possible that He-Man (aka. Prince Adam, Adora's twin brother) was but another enemy Horde Prime fought, killed and then ultimately forgot about.
So wild to me how it was y'all's first She-Ra reactions that got me to watch/binge the show, and now y'all are finally reaching the end!!! So glad y'all reacted to this show

Entrapta's magic is her hair but it's kind of unclear how that works. Entrapta, Spinarella, and Netossa are all non-elemental princesses meaning they are not connected to a runestone and don't draw their magic from aetheria like glimmer and the other elemental princesses do. Where their magic comes from is never really explains

I've mentioned it before but sometime you should do the pilot movie for the original She Ra. It will give you a great sense of the shows tone. And it will be awesome to see your reaction to the different characters interpretation!
I just want to point out that entrapta doesn't have a princess power like the rest of the princesses. everyone else gets their power from a runestone but entrapta just has prehensile hair.
@@omegastar19 your right, I forgot about them. But my point is that entrapta prehensile hair (spinarella and netossa's powers as well) are different to the other princess powers. Their natural to them unlike the princesses with runestones. Their powers are closer to Carta being a cat or DT being a shape shifter
Shadow Weaver's methods are based on pure, cold logic. Despite the harshness of her methods, she has always strived to do what she believes is best for the greater good, and she believes that emotions and connections just get in the way of doing the right thing in the most efficient manner. Shadow Weaver is not actively trying to hurt people, but her fixation on logic and pragmatism being the most efficient way of doing the right thing has unfortunately blinded her to just how much these efficient but cold methods are hurting the people involved in them. That is until Adora tells her directly at the end of this episode how much she hurts others with her methods, then you see some realisation and remorse on Shadow Weaver's face, and you can feel the layered emotions in her line: *_"I did what I had to do."_* That line, to me, perfectly sums up the core of Shadow Weaver as a character. Shadow Weaver may genuinely enjoy power, but she has never been after power simply for power's sake. Rather, she has been after power in order to do what she believes needs to be done in order to ultimately protect Etheria and its denizens. This is what makes Shadow Weaver such a great and complex character to me.
The Adora-Mara conversation is Iconic and legendary xD. Your reactions are the best guys, you kinda keep me sane in times where the LGBT+ community is having it worse than ever you are kinda my saving light haha.

I just love it so much that in between all the heavy action and dramatic events for the main characters, Seahawk gets his moment in the finale. And it is a glorious moment.

I just love that even though Mermista is being mind controlled by Horde Prime, she _still_ can't deal with Seahawk
What an episode; honestly, Mara's pep talk of "You're worth more than what you can give to other people" kind of makes me cry with just how true and powerful it is. Not just kids, but adults need to hear that.
Also, Adora's visions of Catra are heartbreaking, as, just for a moment, she allows herself to step away from She-Ra responsibilities and actually believe that she can just accept being here and happy; the way her breath catches and she just considers what she actually wants for a change...
...And in a second, it all disappears, and all she can do is swallow her pain and march on. Believing, once again, that what she wants can never happen and doesn't matter.
I will say this again.

The "you are worth more than what you can give to other people" scene is actually what initially convinced me to watch the show back in 2020. I saw a gifset of it not long after it aired and it was just so... potent. Media often puts self-sacrifice on a pedestal, and while sometimes its necessary, its tragic and painful and its good to see a show acknowledge how unhealthy self-sacrificial tendencies can be, and how they often come from a place of low self-worth and trauma.

Most kids shows, when discussing love, use words like "I like/love them", but "want" sounds like something out of a soap opera, and not in any cheesy or dramatic way.

The beggining of the end!! Seasons 4 and 5 as a whole were heartbreaking, but these two episodes completely shattered me. Every time I rewatch it I just can't hold back my tears man. Also, the best friend squad this episode is so wholesome, I love them sm.

Mara’s speech to Adora makes me cry every time. And the fun part is, this place works off of Adora’s feelings and memories so this is basically Adora’s subconscious telling her that it’s okay to want things and she deserves love. Like frick me.
Shadow Weaver was so drunk when Catra found her. Listen, she’s even slurring her words.
Oh my good I’m excited for the finale.
I choose to believe this was genuinely Mara's spirit in the hologram, their She-Ra power did it some how.
I remember watching this for the first time in 2020 and this was where the tears started for a lot of people and straight up did not stop until the end.
Part 1 of the finale actually contains, for me personally, the most emotional moment of the series. You see, emotional moments hit hardest when you least expect them. And one really good way to catch an audience off-guard is to follow up one emotional moment with another straight afterwards. That way, the audience is too busy working through the first emotional moment to prepare themselves for the next emotional moment. And Part 1 of the finale contains a chain of emotional moments that just completely overwhelmed me the first time I saw it.
1) Catra's "I'll stay. I can't lose her again! I promised her a long time ago I would look out for her. Its time I made good on that."
2) Glimmer, Bow and Meelog comforting Catra.
3) Glimmer's love confession.
4) Adora being told she's worth more than what she can give to other people.
The finale is an emotional rollercoaster, and for me this is the most intense part of it.

I was rewatching the episode to prepare for the reaction and I just realized that right when Catra is talking about her promise with Adora Promise is playing in the background (or at least the first few notes of it) and I'm this close to crying all over again fjdiskjlsfjsfsfdsf
WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT THIS MORE??? The full melody may not be there, but the chord progression is.
The lack of a proper Scorpia-Catra interaction is the reason I got into writing fanfiction.
I suspect the writers had something more substantial planned but ran into serious time troubles and had to cut a ton of stuff. I imagine the catra-scorpia interaction was probably one of the last things they cut out because you really notice its absence.
I watched the entirety of She-Ra a couple summers ago when I had just left an abusive household and had still been realizing that it was in fact abuse. “You are worth more than what you can give to other people” and earlier in the show when Catra had her breakdowns about Shadow weaver made me absolutely sob. That realization of A) a parental figure you looked up to having actually been actively harmful and B) that you are worthy of a good life simply for existing are not easy.
It was not a good summer to ALSO watch atla for the first time and get gutted by Zuko’s arc in a similar manner lmao
Just because I know you guys already finished the show: the creators did confirm that Catra and Adora never really forgave Shadoweaver regardless of the grief they felt for her death
I can't believe it just rewatching this ep again and hearing Entrapta say ( I'm sorry) was scary and sad because she has been working so hard to stay focused on her job to save the world and she almost had it and she knew her thing was going to work because she is so good at her job, and everyone should of have said thank you to her for saving the whole world with bow's help. With a her teac she couldn't do it without the princesses to distract the bots but she has come a long way since season 1 im so proud of her.

Adora keeps saying that she has to do it on her own but in fact she needs support so much. She just can't say it out loud. She wants her friends to be safe and that's why she pushing them away.
I get it. Adora is really the only one who can fix everything but on her own? Not in this emotional state.

Horde Prime is such a cool and terrifying villain! That scene where he began possessing the entire planet was exquisitely chilling.
But what I found most interesting this episode was Prime's dialogue about Mara and himself: *_"How strange. I must have fought her, must have known her face... But I have no memory of it. I've seen so many like her over the years, one by one their faces have been lost to oblivion. Just as yours will be."_*
Prime has lived for hundreds/thousands of years, so much so that he cannot physically contain all of his collective memories and experiences in one body, as shown when he and Hordak went to that massive chamber to access the memories stored in of one of his countless previous vessels. There's so much of Horde Prime's own long life that he might not even remember in his current form; for all we know, Prime may not even remember the original reason why he's doing all of this in the first place -- the events, experiences and people that may have led him to decide that he needed to conquer the universe in order to bring peace to it. For all we know, Prime may have been a good person in the beginning, but eons of passing from body to body, filling his brain with memories and experiences before casting them away to start almost completely afresh may have twisted him into a completely different person with different morals and methods.
Also, Prime has fought and defeated so many powerful enemies that even former She-Ras seemingly aren't worthy of retaining in his mind. And since we know he wiped out the entire empire and race of the First Ones (aka. the Eternians) besides Adora alone, it's very possible that He-Man (aka. Prince Adam, Adora's twin brother) was but another enemy Horde Prime fought, killed and then ultimately forgot about.
So wild to me how it was y'all's first She-Ra reactions that got me to watch/binge the show, and now y'all are finally reaching the end!!! So glad y'all reacted to this show

Entrapta's magic is her hair but it's kind of unclear how that works. Entrapta, Spinarella, and Netossa are all non-elemental princesses meaning they are not connected to a runestone and don't draw their magic from aetheria like glimmer and the other elemental princesses do. Where their magic comes from is never really explains

I just want to point out that entrapta doesn't have a princess power like the rest of the princesses. everyone else gets their power from a runestone but entrapta just has prehensile hair.
That is not correct, Spinnerella and Netossa do not have runestones either.
@@omegastar19 your right, I forgot about them. But my point is that entrapta prehensile hair (spinarella and netossa's powers as well) are different to the other princess powers. Their natural to them unlike the princesses with runestones. Their powers are closer to Carta being a cat or DT being a shape shifter

I am nieve but I may have started to trust shadow weaver since the moment she told adora she was a first 1 in season 4
Shadow Weaver's methods are based on pure, cold logic. Despite the harshness of her methods, she has always strived to do what she believes is best for the greater good, and she believes that emotions and connections just get in the way of doing the right thing in the most efficient manner. Shadow Weaver is not actively trying to hurt people, but her fixation on logic and pragmatism being the most efficient way of doing the right thing has unfortunately blinded her to just how much these efficient but cold methods are hurting the people involved in them.
That is until Adora tells her directly at the end of this episode how much she hurts others with her methods, then you see some realisation and remorse on Shadow Weaver's face, and you can feel the layered emotions in her line: *_"I did what I had to do."_* That line, to me, perfectly sums up the core of Shadow Weaver as a character. Shadow Weaver may genuinely enjoy power, but she has never been after power simply for power's sake. Rather, she has been after power in order to do what she believes needs to be done in order to ultimately protect Etheria and its denizens.
This is what makes Shadow Weaver such a great and complex character to me.
