    Your art is really awesome! I see at the end where you kinda show most of the colors you used but it would be nice to see the list of colors you use in each piece. Maybe flash the color off to the side as you're using it. Do you use quick color or just the one type of black and white? One other question, can you mix brands of spray paint as long as they're glossy or is it better to just stick with the same brand? I just started only have done 2 pieces and have been using Rustoleum Painters Touch. I picked up quick color but haven't tried it yet. Sorry for the long comment, keep up the awesome work.

      Hi Sean, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave these kind words and this comment, feedback, and the questions I really appreciate it :) This was one of my early videos i did when i was still learning how to do things etc, My newer tutorials list everything i use in them :) I have heard of quick colour but i have never tired it, Some brands of paint might work with each other but i like to stick to one brand of paint that way i know they should be fine to use , but some brands have more then one type of paint in there range, like montana has 3 types in there range and they may not mix well together, so say i'm using the montana white range i will stick with the montana white for all of that painting and so on, that way you don't need to worry about the paint reacting like it may do if you use different types of paint together, I hope this makes sense, How are you finding painting with spray paint are you enjoying it?

    • @JonBarberArt
      @JonBarberArt  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Alicia, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave this comment and question i really appreciate it :) It all depends what sort of paint you want to use there's gloss, matte and semi-gloss paint and as for the brand it all depends which one you find works and suits you best. just buy a black and white and a couple of colors and give that said brand ago if you like it you can buy more, but if you don't then you haven't spent much and could always try another brand hope this helps :)

    • @JonBarberArt
      @JonBarberArt  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Christopher, Thank you so much for watching, and for taking the time to leave this comment, feedback and question I really appreciate it :) I would say stick to the one that is made from the same brand of paint you use, cause maybe if you use a different make of clear coat to the paint it may react with it, but it might not, I have never used the clear coat i used with other brands so wouldn't really know how it would react, but i'll be trying it in some future videos tho, Sorry i couldn't be more helpful.

    Does it only work if you use fire on the planet before covering it? If so, how long does it take to wait for it without using fire?

    • @JonBarberArt
      @JonBarberArt  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Monica, Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment and feedback and also the question it's really appreciated :) I only used the fire to dry the paint faster before covering it with the stencil so it didn't stick to the paint, most of the time people only use the fire for show :) for it to naturally dry it depends how much paint you have put down and how warm it is , the warmer it is the faster it will dry :) hope this helps :)

      Jon Barber Art yeah of course, very fun, learning the whole process, I do need Transparent black and white though. When you look on my post you will see the shading the planets, at least on the big one, wasn’t very clean. Overall I think I did a good job on it but you can definitely see a few mistakes. I look forward to getting more shades of colors and making paintings like the one in this video.

    • @JonBarberArt
      @JonBarberArt  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Jack, Sorry for the late response, Glad to hear you are enjoying it and having fun, To be honest with you i don't really use transparent paint much, as you get use to the cans and caps you start getting use to can control which makes it a easier to shade and highlight things, but it's always nice to have the transparent paint on hand if did fancy using it :)

      Hi Apocca, Sorry for the late response back, Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment and question I really appreciate it :) The white line over the colour each side of the planet? if so just press the cap a little lighter to let less paint out, hopefully that should work better for you :)

      If you are going to give it a try just be careful not to set the painting on fire it will bubble if it burns to long and mess your painting up :(
