Looking awesome. A backpack blower works awesome on powered snow. Would only take a couple of minutes to blow off the logs. Thanks for the awesome videos.
A game camera focused on the cat food bowl just to make sure you're not feeding the rats. Next week we get to see if the roof fits. Not that I have doubts. Great progress! Thanks for the video.
I never got to see snow (45 years) until Christmas 2002 when I went to Russia to meet my now wife. I loved it and hope to move to Russia soon to see many more snowy Christmases and New Years.
Salut ! Franchement tu travailles vraiment de la meilleure des façons et en plus tout seul. Cela demande une bonne organisation et une bonne dose de confiance en soi ! Bravo et bonne continuation dans ton projet. ❤ 💪 👍
Nice to see the new tripod! That doesn't mean that it won't fall down(hopefully not). I personally think you missed the camera with that snowball on purpose (lol)! Great to see you passing on the "family tradition", I'm sure your son enjoyed that very much! Two cameras down. I think I'll start calling you Lug nut, cause you need some tightening up(lol)! Off to a great start for 2025. So glad every time you post a new video, "JB". 👋😁👍⛄🍲🇺🇸😉😼🏂
Thank you as always JB! I imagine the cheap camera stand will only last a little while around here, so the camera drama will continue! 🤣 gotta love those family traditions! have a great weekend!
Your cabin is looking great. Your dear athletic son is much greater! Nice trick you learned from your father and your son took it very well. Athletics and the military are terrific ways to learn about “team building”, just my opinion and based upon experience.
Brilliant as always. Another milestone checked off and on to the upper story next week.. must be so exhausting and exhilarating at the same time. Hope the weather is kind to you. Keep pushing! 👍🏻
Great episode! Thanks for the share! I’d suggest a cold weather start kit for the excavator. Used them on the HEMMT, 5tn, and Duce.5 in the army and they work pretty good. Stay safe sir!
Great progress this week Ross, the weather and the behind the scenes editing must cut your work time in half. Winch synthetic line next time, it’s a game changer. Next step has me baffled on how but I thoroughly enjoy you and this channel, real people doing the real thing! See you next week!
Thanks Russ! I looked at synthetic rope, but looked past when I saw the price! If I was going to use it more, I’d probably upgrade to synthetic. The editing takes some time for sure, filming isn’t much extra work. I’m excited for the next step, getting close to finally seeing the outline of the full cabin! See you next week! Always appreciate your channel support!
Awesome! Did we ever see that Christmas tree lit? Does the bobcat have glow plugs, or is it a different issue? When I lived in the Sierra, a snow clod would sometimes drop, and if it hit right, what go down your back all the way to your waist! Brrr. Ya know, your videos are good enough to be on like local PBS or something. Have a great 2025.
I believe the battery is getting up there in age, no problem starting when above 20. I never did get the Christmas tree lit at night, I’m rarely up there when it’s dark, I planned to get there the one day before sunrise, but then my drill bits broke and I spent the morning running around town trying to find the right one! Might high praise, thank you Jim!
Great progress!! Do you think you should have painted the sub floor? So the water, snow doesn't soak in? Fun watch!! Can't wait to see the second floor go on, going to get interesting!! Best of luck!!
Thank you! The subfloor is a 200 day sand free, so it it moisture resistant, and since I live in a very dry climate, I hope it will be ok. Long as I keep the snow off it the best I can, I may cover it if I see any degradation. 2nd floor less than 2 days away from the start!
Thank you! No crane, I believe the excavator, winch, and some well placed come alongs will be able to get the job done. We will find out in the next week!
The bobcat has been awesome, totally recommend. However it is the only machine I’ve ever had, so your experience could be different. But that e 35 is a beast.
I know what you mean about when it comes to be taken down. Many years ago I built a raised deck for my sister, years passed and so do styles, she got a landscaper in to re style her garden. They quoted 1/2 day labour to remove decking. 3 days in and they were spitting feathers and calling me all the names under the sun 😂😂

Not a bad idea! Thank you, 🙏 very much appreciated!

Thank you!!Game camera on the food is a good idea! I’m hoping the roof fits too! We will both soon find out!

Pursuing your dream and a lovely family, you are truly blessed. Great build.👍
Always appreciate you comments! Thank you Terry!

Thank you! It’s coming along!
How adorable your son is at the end of video. You have a talent for building and a sense of humor. See ya next week.
Thank you Debbie!
Being a dad of 4 love the videos with your kids ❤
Thank you Travis!
It’s a winter wonderland. Looks beautiful until it never goes away.
Haha, I hear you, fortunately around here it seems to leave about as fast as it comes! Next week is forecasting at least one day of T-shirt weather!

I can’t complain about that!
Nice progress! Gotta love altitude, snow one minute and a few hours later, snow is almost gone and 40 degrees out!
It still amazes me every time, coming from the East coast, I’m not use to those temperature swings!
Your cabin is looking great. Your dear athletic son is much greater! Nice trick you learned from your father and your son took it very well. Athletics and the military are terrific ways to learn about “team building”, just my opinion and based upon experience.
Thank you! Agreed, athletics definitely support the teamwork trait!
Brilliant as always. Another milestone checked off and on to the upper story next week.. must be so exhausting and exhilarating at the same time.

Very much appreciated! I can’t wait to start the next part, going to be thinking about it all weekend!

Thank you! If we sustain cold temperatures I’ll have to look into it!
Cordless blower for the win cleaning off logs and deck after the initial shoveling.
Pretty good idea!
A very pretty setting in the snow. Hope the drive/track in stays passable for you. So enjoy your content.
Thank you!
I’m anxious to see you get I dried in.
What a relief that will be! Get those logs protected!
getting there looking nice .great job . thank for sharing
Thank you!
It’s looking sooo cool!
Thank you! 🙏

Hopefully you get a roof on before another heavy snow. Looks cold ,
It’s been chilly, but might get to 50 next week!
Great vid 👍 💪
Thank you! 🙏
Another great video and lesson in perseverance!
It looks like you have reached the limit of reach with the excavator. Crane?
Thank you! No crane, I believe the excavator, winch, and some well placed come alongs will be able to get the job done. We will find out in the next week!
Thankyou
Bobcat won't start but big D will, lol, keep at it, Jack, RI, USA
Thank you Jack! 😆😂
You need to use a leaf blower for the snow in your cabin.
✅
Sub'd - looking forward to the roof part going up
Awesome! 👏
I almost thought you were gonna show him some yellow snow
😆
Curious if you'd recommend Bobcat or think a person might be wise to get another manufacturer??
The bobcat has been awesome, totally recommend. However it is the only machine I’ve ever had, so your experience could be different. But that e 35 is a beast.
What a cutie💜💜
✔️!
What kind of doors are you going to use?
I haven’t Decided, might make my own

Overbuild! 💪 😀
👍
🙏
20:17 I see you missed the target a few times
😂 more than a few!
it's way too cold .... i think you should take a break until spring ..... it's ok ..... it will get done
😀😆🤣
One of those logs looked like it had black mold on it
A little surface mildew from the sap drying, cleans up pretty easily.
too cold for painting , paint will not hold ! read instruction on the can ( 10 ° F min. and a bit less regarding primer )
✔️
I'm going to miss the camera falling. I always thought it was funny.
😂, I imagine the cheap camera stands I buy won’t last, so I’m sure it will be back!
Man, that's cheating!! Powder snow doesn't count. Give you a workout if it was coastal cement.
U right about that! Light as a feather! 😂
GOOD SHOW
Very much appreciated!
