I did my FIRST EVER Profit-taker and I did it solo and it took 9 minutes I have never fought him just once when a random dude helped me complete the mission to unlock the rest of the stuff that’s it! the amount of forma i invested in this shiz made me realize why the profit taker is called the profit taker, ive invested literally all my plat, forma and endo in this build and im not even halfway there yet update: i finished building it and my first try on PT ever took me 6 mins and ive managed to get it down to 4 mins after some practice thanks man
Great guide man! I've been looking for a beginner profit taker guide, but other people just don't provide budget alternatives to end game gear, or explain the details as you do. You just got yourself a sub!
but the zenith is somehow budget? or the Opticor you get from grinding the most universally agreed upon worst piece of content in the game (thermia fracture)?
@@selectionn I think he refers the mod configs as budget, not the weapons themselves. But yeah, I would expect him to propose some alternative weapons & builds to zenith and opticor, even at the expense of clearing time.

I watched this video nearly a year ago when you posted it and it helped me get to around 6 mins solo. I am now watching it again to help my friend and I get down to about 1 minute 15 seconds. Great info, insanely helpful to get back into it as getting back into profit taker is confusing as all hell. Quick tips now, the new radiation mods are insanely helpful. My zaw with exodia contagion and melee exposure covers all of corrosive, blast, radiation, gas, electricity, slash and impact. Radiation is only from focus radon which I swapped glad might out for (I still one shot very very easily without a riven as well)
Incredible video, watching volts and saryns get 2 min runs and doing 4 min runs with my chroma almost made me consider switching over, but I only do the fight for credits so the 60% chance for double is really nice. This video is exactly what I needed.
Thanks for the guide, I've always hated doing profit taker because I tend to just get carried without really understanding what to do other than shoot pylons.
I would add that you can substitute Master's Summons for Spectral Scream, Chroma's first skill. The Smeeta will take a lot of damage and it needs to be active to trigger the Charm skill. To give yourself more of a chance to revive it with Master's Summons, add a bleedout mod to extend the kavat's down time before it despawns and dies.
Love the Profit-Taker fight, it gets hectic fast. Always found it easier solo, don't have as many issues with it turning around and not seeing the element and losing time on a phase. Returning player myself, thanks for the refresher course. Never used the Necromech for it, I'll have to give that a try. 😎

toxic ward has gotten a change so switching gives a damage buff based on my chroma build that has 349 strength and 172 duration its around +120% damage increase and reload im sure that is additive but damage is damage (in game its alot more then the wiki says for some reason) anyways its meant to scale with strength and duration which a minmax chroma builds for anyways
Now that we have the relatively new pure radiation mods from Deimos labs, this opens up some more flexibility across these builds. For one, the archgun one comes with multishot (in addition to the new primed dual rounds). And the secondary one potentially opens up that slot for a different weapon now that we can build mag/rad/tox (or heat) on any secondary without requiring the extra base element of a lich/sister bonus or the Detron itself. The Laetum itself jumps to mind as another easy to acquire and incredibly powerful pistol (even if you don't transform it in the fight). Are there any other modding or weapon choice changes you or other people would consider now?
This is a good guide for people who want to go deep into profit taker. BUT, I play a lot of factory games and one of the biggest problems is you can build a massive factory that takes you 1-2 weeks to build and then it turns on and you have more than you know what to do with. This is common but sooo inefficient. The reason to do profit taker is to min-max credits right? Well if it takes you 2 weeks to gather stuff for profit taker why not just get a 3 day credit booster and grind index for almost no upfront cost? By the end of the 3 days you’ll have enough credits to last months as opposed to getting all these hyper specific bits and pieces over 2 weeks to run profit take for a day or two and make let’s say twice as many credits? If it’s time efficiency you’re worried about going whole hog is inefficient, but fun.
I’m still getting the hang of this fight but this shaved minutes off my time. Running without the best mods and still working on forma on SO many things. Biggest help was the Zaw which I luckily already had. I’d been ignoring my melee before, so thanks again!
Love the videos @warframeflow but theres one thing that always annoys the living hell out of me when im trying to replicate your builds. please please please.. when you open the config of whatever weapon or frame you are showing. keep your mouse still for a moment for anyone that would like to pause the video on the config and reference it. you always open the config and before i get a chance to pause you start hovering the mouse all over the place covering up mods arcanes etc. just open the config and hold up a second for the people that want to pause/ screenshot the entire config,
I would also mention redeemer or redeemer prime as options for melee. It may change some other weapon choices, but it does a decent damage, and heavy attack has inaite blast
redeemer does have blast but this removes ips almost entirely from your loadout with contagion covering blast impact slash puncture and (if you hit the right spot) viral redeemer only has blast
There is another way of doing the whole exodia contagion thing without using exodia contagion. Use stropha with a heavy attack build. You know with corrupt charge and all that. It's really affordable and u can put any elements u want on it. I personally have gas and electricity and it one shots the shields. Imo it is definitely more new player friendly way of doing the profit taker

I wanna do it but dang ... I gonna do it over time. Like, i just like killing mobs for the shinny lights and animations. I am a simple man.
You actually dont need nullifier because u can prevent energy drain. When the pt stands up high on all 4 legs if u quickly shoot them before she slams the ground it will prevent the magnetic attack If u are using a zaw that has one of the plague star parts [keewar or kriptah] it has innate viral if u hit it in a certain spot. For your mausolon build if you swap auto trigger with dual rounds u can basically one shot limbs.
Not saying im good at this hence im watching videos to get better builds, but Ive never seen a single issue w/ energy am I just not doing something that causes this issue? I either run slow nova or rhino and stay in mech as much as I can with Zenurik ability and Arcane Energizer.

Well, i don't have the full setup to do this strategy, so i'm working with what i have, i adapted the Chroma build to have enough survivability, sustain and damage buff (Infused Dispensary in Chroma's 1 and i'm running Equilibrium and Vulpaphyla with Synth Deconstruct) and it's working pretty well. I'll work towards a better setup along the way, but this will do for now. At least i'm managing to do Profit Taker in less than 10 minutes consistently, which is good considering i don't have Nukor/Detron at the moment
Eclipse buff gives DR or damage depending upon being in the light or dark (very inconsistent in orb vallis + no indicator). Unironically subsuming gloom over your 1 would be better. Cold damage multiplier is not your damage but instead the damage multiplier to the reflected projectile. Also not using eclipse lets you invest less into power strength meaning you can shoot for either no blind rage and 130% efficiency or blind rage with 100% efficiency and a bit more str (also means rivens are far less important). Also the suggested chroma build means your kavat will die if you dont melee an enemy often enough whereas with gloom you don't have to care.
What i understood from this video is that i am severly undergeared and severly underleveled to get anything out of profit taker. I shall stick to index then, perfect
of note, Corvas prime does not do the same thing as regular corvas, Corvas has lots of pellets like a shotgun which is ideal, Corvas prime is more like Arca Plasmor, so despite higher stats and polarities it's not an upgrade to the default in this case.
well that is beyond stupid. as stupid as DE changing the reload mechanic of Corinth in Corinth Prime or the Longsword Kopesh Skin for swords that is twisted around and making no sense, and DE refusing to fix it after numerous complaints is proof of racism against Egyptians.

Me a non-European explaining to you with fullconfidence how your own stuff works. The Egyptian Khopesh swords are used to hit with the sharp front side, not the back side. DE has it the other way around and refuses to listen to valid criticism for more than 4+ years. Either too lazy to do a quick tweak or racist with the attitude: "eeh, works fine enough, nobody cares..." I care. Historians care. Weapon enthusiasts care. Immersion seekers care. The Egyptians care. Isn't that enough?
honestly, if you have friends and don't care for mega sweat 120s solo profit runs and volt memes - 3/4 round index is a better credit source, not in least because it needs FAR less specific and fiddly crap to work on the flip side - running my 1 forma, 90% roar revenant with phenmor, laetum and xoris with a combined 8 forma cost across the weapons it takes me about 3.5 min on average to kill the profit orb, including the time spent charging both inca modes. No 100 logins weapon, no contagion zaw, no sister/lich weapons, no anything even remotely fancy.
Would be nice to have an alternative for beginners that just wants to do it and not min maxing for stuff. Spending plats left and right is just too hard for me to follow
Great video! Couple of major questions tho; 1- Does Status Chance (procs/ dots/ debufs) have any use at all against PT??? Also 2- Why spread out (and dilute) so many elements instead of having just a few, with much higher damage vs. switching the element??? Let's say you have 100 IPS and 100 on 2 elements for 500 total damage, if the weakness is electric does it only take 100 dmg from the electric or does it take the whole 500 from the weapon's total? If it does only take the 100 from 1 element, would it not be viable to mod just one dedicated powerful element ( eg. 500+ electric dmg) on each weapon to do considerably more damage to the health, maybe even one shot, especially if you don't have access to the optimal weapons and mods? Or would another mechanic get in the way, like limited switching of vulnerabilities or something? Any advice would be very much appreciated, I've always struggled with PT, Eidolons not so much (me and one friend were just experimenting with Eidos for fun, totally off Meta like using Gara or Valkyr, and we started hitting 5x3+ fairly fast, and before the focus rework) but we never got PT under 5 minutes. I'm gonna try again cause now it's way more fun (to me) than Eidolons.
Guys listen, 500p for exodia contagion is *NOT* worth it, you are better of picking a titania index speedrun build or picking mesa and doing that, you will gain more credits than you would from PT No booster: 3 waves of index take max 10mins, 750k creds 3 runs of profittaker *as chroma* will get you 750k credits but will take the same time to complete (including loading screens) unless ur insanely good at speedrunning it. And that is with exodia contagion. Just go with the clearly cheaper and less effort option unless ur doing it for little duck standing As for the times you can make the same argument for both which is "just git gud and be fast" however neither are difficult to learn, main difference is 500p worth of investment.
Hey a rank 0 exodia contagion works just fine :) its why i said you dont need to buy a rank 5 exodia hwoever its something that you will need in the future anyway! i Absolutely agree with you it just depends on what people want. For example for me i find index really boring and PT gives more of a challenge plus it gives mods for platinum relics and credits and can be faster than Index. So yeah absolutely agree with you but the main reason for people wanting to do PT instead of index is because PT actually has more value in doing it for credits :)

Honestly, I just got chroma prime(didn’t get normal version yet) and he was so underwhelming that only not having the helminth installed saved him from becoming food for the wall mouth. Why recommend ice over fire Elemental Ward? You already stack a shit ton of armor so fire should give you WAYYYY better EHP. Maybe if you're running Eclipse it's different, but if you're using Vex Armor heat should always be the choice for survivability right?
For some reason corvas with nechramech works weird, it goes into shotgun mode and you need to hit the limb 8-10 times. But when you deploy it to your warframe it oneshots the limbs. Maybe Im doing something wrong.
I was getting killed repeatedly. Arcange Guardian helped out so much... I'm not dying now and getting quicker runs in. I have rivens for most of the weapons, but i'm not 1 shotting the pylons. Do you think it's because I may not have eclipse / and or primary dexterity proc'd?
Still dont understand how its possible to oneshot her shields. I'm using a maxxed bubonico with eclipse, maxxed larkpusr primes and her legs take ages to break. She just doesnt take damage from me for some reason.
Do you really need flow on the chroma build? you only use chroma for the 4th ability at the end of the fight right? wouldnt a mod like vigorous swap be wayy better to use since you are switching weapons all the time during the shields phase?

Profit taker is not made for beginners or players who don't want to invest time or money (platinum)

The cold damage multiplier is only for the reflected shots
Unless Ur using xata's whisper as a helminth ability the bullet attraction void thing counts the damage multiplier

Chorma's elemental ward's cold buff doesn't actually multiply your damage, it makes you reflect enemy bullets and applies the multiplier to those

of note, Corvas prime does not do the same thing as regular corvas, Corvas has lots of pellets like a shotgun which is ideal, Corvas prime is more like Arca Plasmor, so despite higher stats and polarities it's not an upgrade to the default in this case.

The Egyptian Khopesh swords are used to hit with the sharp front side, not the back side. DE has it the other way around and refuses to listen to valid criticism for more than 4+ years. Either too lazy to do a quick tweak or racist with the attitude: "eeh, works fine enough, nobody cares..."

honestly, if you have friends and don't care for mega sweat 120s solo profit runs and volt memes - 3/4 round index is a better credit source, not in least because it needs FAR less specific and fiddly crap to work
on the flip side - running my 1 forma, 90% roar revenant with phenmor, laetum and xoris with a combined 8 forma cost across the weapons it takes me about 3.5 min on average to kill the profit orb, including the time spent charging both inca modes. No 100 logins weapon, no contagion zaw, no sister/lich weapons, no anything even remotely fancy.
@21:06 Chroma's 4th even doubled the Chrisma Toroid! You actually got two instead of 1. This let's me know that it's time to get Chroma Prime.

Cant have 2 damage boosting abilities on a frame. Forces you to put it over vex armor

1- Does Status Chance (procs/ dots/ debufs) have any use at all against PT???
Also 2- Why spread out (and dilute) so many elements instead of having just a few, with much higher damage vs. switching the element???
Let's say you have 100 IPS and 100 on 2 elements for 500 total damage, if the weakness is electric does it only take 100 dmg from the electric or does it take the whole 500 from the weapon's total? If it does only take the 100 from 1 element, would it not be viable to mod just one dedicated powerful element ( eg. 500+ electric dmg) on each weapon to do considerably more damage to the health, maybe even one shot, especially if you don't have access to the optimal weapons and mods? Or would another mechanic get in the way, like limited switching of vulnerabilities or something?
Any advice would be very much appreciated, I've always struggled with PT, Eidolons not so much (me and one friend were just experimenting with Eidos for fun, totally off Meta like using Gara or Valkyr, and we started hitting 5x3+ fairly fast, and before the focus rework) but we never got PT under 5 minutes. I'm gonna try again cause now it's way more fun (to me) than Eidolons.
Guys listen, 500p for exodia contagion is *NOT* worth it, you are better of picking a titania index speedrun build or picking mesa and doing that, you will gain more credits than you would from PT
No booster:
3 waves of index take max 10mins, 750k creds
3 runs of profittaker *as chroma* will get you 750k credits but will take the same time to complete (including loading screens) unless ur insanely good at speedrunning it. And that is with exodia contagion.
Just go with the clearly cheaper and less effort option unless ur doing it for little duck standing
As for the times you can make the same argument for both which is "just git gud and be fast" however neither are difficult to learn, main difference is 500p worth of investment.
Hey a rank 0 exodia contagion works just fine :) its why i said you dont need to buy a rank 5 exodia hwoever its something that you will need in the future anyway! i Absolutely agree with you it just depends on what people want. For example for me i find index really boring and PT gives more of a challenge plus it gives mods for platinum relics and credits and can be faster than Index. So yeah absolutely agree with you but the main reason for people wanting to do PT instead of index is because PT actually has more value in doing it for credits :)

Honestly, I just got chroma prime(didn’t get normal version yet) and he was so underwhelming that only not having the helminth installed saved him from becoming food for the wall mouth. Now I see he still has a use, and a pretty good one too. Thank you for saving this poor dragon man from the grasp of my wall mounted flesh thing

Belated reply, but the Zenith has an alternate fire mode which does infinite punch thru. Activate it using heavy attack.
I had a much easier time using stynax with his overguard augment than chroma for profit-taker.
Why recommend ice over fire Elemental Ward? You already stack a shit ton of armor so fire should give you WAYYYY better EHP. Maybe if you're running Eclipse it's different, but if you're using Vex Armor heat should always be the choice for survivability right?

For some reason corvas with nechramech works weird, it goes into shotgun mode and you need to hit the limb 8-10 times. But when you deploy it to your warframe it oneshots the limbs. Maybe Im doing something wrong.

I had no clue zenith had infinite punch through
I was getting killed repeatedly. Arcange Guardian helped out so much... I'm not dying now and getting quicker runs in. I have rivens for most of the weapons, but i'm not 1 shotting the pylons. Do you think it's because I may not have eclipse / and or primary dexterity proc'd?
Still dont understand how its possible to oneshot her shields. I'm using a maxxed bubonico with eclipse, maxxed larkpusr primes and her legs take ages to break. She just doesnt take damage from me for some reason.
Do you really need flow on the chroma build? you only use chroma for the 4th ability at the end of the fight right? wouldnt a mod like vigorous swap be wayy better to use since you are switching weapons all the time during the shields phase?
