The opponent was very close to capturing all pawns without giving any checks, which would have been a hilarious way to fail this challenge. But congratulations on succeeding here.
It actually is, Simp only moves piece 2x, both to block checks, before his last pawn is captured at 4:40. The difference with his top-viewed videos is that this time the opponent goes for obliterating his entire pawn instead of avoiding them
4:25 Had that been mate, you would’ve gotten the “Killer Pawn” achievement, not the “Killer Rook” one. I know because one time I got a promotion mate. Thus, that was a pawn move.
One of the best vids in a while. So funny how he refused to check you but you somehow still took material moving only pawns around. Absolutely hilarious
I am surprised, after so much refusal to check you and losing almost everything to just build up some checks, you still managed to bring this back around in decisive fashion!
I could hear the satisfaction in that "aha" at 3:48 even through the TTS. By the way, how about a variant on this: For every pawn sacrificed you get 3 moves
Chess, but all of your non-pawn pieces want to see how it feels like to be a bishop. All of your non-pawn pieces must be fianchettoed (b2, g2, b7, g7) before moving to the third rank.
The challenge was worded so badly. It could be something like. "Chess, but you can only make up-to three times as many non-pawn moves as the number of checks you have received up-to that point".
YOUR wording doesn't make any sense. The submitter's wording was fine. Except for the part where they said "at the begin" instead of "at the start" for some reason.
@@witchluisamultifandom1212 Why doesn't mine make sense? "but you begin cannot" doesn't make grammatical sense. I figured out what they meant by "stackable" at the end but it isn't very clear.
@@mattlm64 "you begin cannot" makes no sense, that I agree with. "Stackable" is needed for clarifying the move amount doesn't reset to 3 with every check(though it could be read as "double check gives you 6 piece moves) RPG buffs are often phrased this way. It's that your proposed wording is unnecessarily complicated. Had to read it thrice before I understood it fully. The "up to that point" at the end is redundant, same with the other "up to". I personally would phrase the challenge "Chess, but at the start of the game you can only move pawns. For every check on your king, you gain three piece moves" Also I have never seen anyone spell up to with a hyphen.
"Very challenging" was to read the statement of the challenge. It would be better worded as "Chess, but if you move your pieces (not pawns) more than 3 times more than your opponent has checked you, the video ends."
That had no business being as difficult as it was. Your opponent was clearly a paid actor, just paid by someone who hates you.
Or paid by simp for content

A very strange version of smothered check
this was almost "if you can move a pawn, you have to"

@@themobius5798wait, yes you are right
That is a drawback on drawback chess I believe 😊
He was close to "Im not gonna play this game anymore, have a great day"
That 100 rated Indian was about to destroy simps entire career
you forgor the "You know what"
For a moment, I though the opponent figured out your drawback.
For a moment, I thought the opponent's drawback was "you cannot give check until it is checkmate"
I mean it was very close, they probably just assumed Simp has like a "Don't use your pieces" thing
They are playing _regular_ chess.
the opponent heard that you shouldn't just give checks any time its possible to, and took it as "never give checks"
I spent half the video wondering if the other guy was doing a "you may not check the enemy king until you have captured all his pawns" challenge.
4:25 Had that been mate, you would’ve gotten the “Killer Pawn” achievement, not the “Killer Rook” one. I know because one time I got a promotion mate. Thus, that was a pawn move.
It can also be considered a pawn move because rooks can't move diagonally.
also the notation is bxa1=R, so yes, it's a pawn move (because uh... you move.. a pawn)
Good job, all three of you. May your promotions be frequent and lethal.
also, even if you count that as a piece move, he still never went over his allowed amount of piece moves
Pretty sure you can even get Killer X by discovered checkmate by moving X.
This is what happens when you don't pay the actors, they rebel.
His actors really should unionize for better contracts
One of the best vids in a while. So funny how he refused to check you but you somehow still took material moving only pawns around. Absolutely hilarious
Your opponent: Chess, but your opponent is not allowed to have pawn structure.
This was one of the most entertaining challenges by far. Mostly because your opponent refused to be a paid actor
No misinterpreting the rules, no cowardly moves, no blundering the challenge, no convenient internet problems. That's a first in a long time.
This guy was not a paid actor, he was a paid assassin. It was like he knew the rules of the challenge before it started
Now that was a fight to the tooth and nails, holy! What a not-coward, this man.
he almost lost for running out of pawns, the closest loss ever
Imagine being 17 moves into the game, the opponent has only moved their pawns, which you've captured 6 of, and you're at material disadvantage. XD
This opponent had to have seen that you weren't moving your pieces (not pawns), and was thoroughly enjoying having run of the board.
I am surprised, after so much refusal to check you and losing almost everything to just build up some checks, you still managed to bring this back around in decisive fashion!
Checks come first, and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
The opponent made this game incredibly frustrating to begin with, and I was just *watching* it. Can't imagine what it would have been like to play it
Of course it was a pawn move. Rooks can't move diagonally.
one of those goated challanges that are really hard and you still pull through them without any major luck but due to sheer persistance and willpower

I could hear the satisfaction in that "aha" at 3:48 even through the TTS.

He saw you were only making pawn moves, so he was safe to blunder his knight to your pieces
"That blunders a check-mate in 14"
I only see a check-mate in 3...
Wow, really made you work for that one!
Big testosterone for revealing ur draw back to oppo....wait😮
your opponent was having too much fun watching pawn
Amazing video, keep up the good work.
At some point I was really hoping he would take the last 2 pawns for an incomprehensible and amazing mission fail
I'm not sure I would have seen the blundered mate if you hadn't pointed it out.
aesthetically, this is probably the worst game of chess I've seen in a while. Great game, good challenge!
100 rated Chess, nut your royal couple are Bonnie and Clyde. You can only capture with the king and queen.

Chess, but you must follow the Hierarchy of moves: Checks, captures, attacks. You must make one of these wherever possible

Other 100 rated players: move the queen 15 times in a row. This guy for some unknown reason: does the same with the horsie
Meanwhile it was actually levy doing a challenge where he has to take every one of someone’s pawns before he can take anything else
I wasn't expecting a comedian of an opponent
Chess but you can only capture pieces or pawns that are defended

edit: oh, bishop g6 is checkmate in one
you begin cannot move. every check you end cannot move for 3 can move piece
