I don't think Chad Morris is near as bad of a coach as the on field performance showed. He might not be the best coach, but he isn't THAT bad. He did amazing at Clemson, and he was the one that developed the offense they still use today. Coach Morris is dead on when he talked about how in the past decades there was a “trickle down effect” in strategic systems from the NFL to College, but the last 5 years or so there is now a “trickle up effect” from College to the NFL... NFL teams are now embracing the spread offense and mobile Quarterbacks, versus 10+ years ago when it was strictly Smash-mouth style football. Offense is the new Defense, hints why oldschool defensive SEC teams like LSU suck ass now and fired Les Miles.

This man has the right temperament for our program in the shape it's in, a solid knowledge-base, and unbridled passion. I have a feeling we're looking at a legend in the making, and for all of his energy, he is so humble. I've never talked about this to anyone, but I've wanted a coach who would be very deliberate and intentional about improving HS play in the state. There is more talent in our state than I think people realize. McFadden, Hillis, Child's, Jarius Wright, Joe Adam's, Hunter Henry, Chris Gragg, Dennis Johnson, just to name a few, all came out of Arkansas. Players who were in the national spotlight, who if they had the right coach (or would have HAD the same coach, looking at you, Petrino), would have been playing in the NC.
