I thought it was surprisingly good - enjoyed the cast and the deeper plot lines. The medical bits were poorly scripted. Looking forward to season 2
I am on episode 5. I dont like how Jack fell for Mel, and tossed his gf of 2 years to the side. Suddenly she was a nobody to him, just a hookup. Bullcrap. Mel was annoying, always asking him about Charmaine. Very predictable. But overall so far I enjoy it
I loved this show! It was like a warm and fuzzy kind of show! Beautiful scenes too!
I'm excited for season 2... (Hopefully!) 🤞

I love " Virgin River " and can't wait until Season 2! I watched Season 1 over and over! It reminds me of when I moved to Oregon
from Southern California and I went thru Northern California: went thru Mount Shasta and the scenery is beautiful. There are really good characters and several plots that I am looking forward to see how they come to a head. I encourage anyone to watch this series. I give it a B+
Mel and Jack are so adorable in Virgin River season 1! A very wholesome TV series indeed! Watched the series a lot of times! Can’t wait to see season 2!

I have never liked anything based on books I have read over and over. I so enjoyed the books. This reminds me of the debacle At Home in Mitford. Oh well, if you are enjoying the series, find the books and read the first one - Virgin River by Robyn Carr - before the second season starts....
As someone who's from Kuala Lumpur, I feel a tad offended when Mel said there's a Starbucks in Kuala Lumpur as if this is some remote place.
Just so you know, Starbucks has been in here for 16 years.

I visited Kuala Lumpur in '99 and it's definitely not a remote place. And yes, of course, there are Starbucks in KL. That line didn't make sense to me either. They should've said Antarctica or something like that.
I’m gonna take a wiiiild guess and say that the character he wants to throw from the top of the mountain is Hope?

oh man, Charmaine’s pregnancy was so obvious from the get go. Whenever a character is introduced with a sex scene, his/her plotline will most likely be pregnancy related. Cheesy Writing 101.

Looking forward to season 2 -that is to me the most disappointing art - That we have to wait a year !thought the actors were great! The perfect chemistry between all of the "couples", so to speak.
The wait is painful.
I was interested in watching this series because it is supposed to have been filmed in Humboldt County, in Northern California. I lived in Humboldt County for about 10 years and I did not recognize any of the places they filmed at, then come to find out it was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. I really liked this series, I had not seen the actors/actresses before, but they are doing a phenomenal job. Can't wait for Dec 6th to see second season.

I like the show. I thought it would be more of a medical drama which early on it was. I thought she would be the Dr Quinn of Virgin River. I was rooting for Melinda to end up with Jack but IMO it's become a messy scenario and as bad as I feel for Jack I would have done the same as Melinda at the end. I'm just left wondering what happened to Paige. And Hope has become such a barmy annoying character who just can't help herself. I would shun her for life if she interfered in my matters like that. Anyway, thank you for this video, you are both pleasant people and hope to see you both for a cake and cuppa in future.
Season 2 should drop this year, I'm thinking late nov early Dec. Fingers crossed. There are also loads of novels. So could have many more seasons and maybe one day have a modern Dr Quin.

Great review..I started reading the novels the minute I finished watching S1 cz I couldn't wait..noticed that the sub plots are simply main plots of the novels interweaved in the first one
I don't know how u were mislead believing it's a medical drama when everything screams romantic drama from the scenery, trailer etc etc
I would add to the term romantic drama , a feel good romantic drama...
Looking forward to S 2 & finishing the 20 novels 😉

Yes..I couldn't believe it either when I fell in love with the show & the characters.. started reading them on novelfreereadonline.com after I got the book titles chronologically..I highly recommend them 🥰🥰🥰
It was good for about 4-5 episodes, then BAM ! it turns into a full blown "SOAP OPERA" eventually resting on the amnesia "ploy" there's even the old "TWIN BROTHER" routine ... While the cast is fantastic (excluding the "TEENS") the story line gets weak quickly ... maybe HORNY RIVER would have been a better title , how many times does a lonely women enter the plot and within 2 minutes she's tearing the shirt of some new acquaintance
I really enjoyed the books series. Hope the show does just as well.

Her mid wife knowledge wasnt well researched. You never give a baby its bottle while its flat on it's back.
Untrue! Babies have been given bottles to drink when on their back for decades. However, I never let them drink it without me being there. When they drink the milk they still need to be burped.
@@jayneirwin5926 Doctors will tell you it promotes ear infections. Yes, my parents have done it but it was wrong, a baby's head should be raised above its stomach while eating because It's very easy for milk/formula to get into the inner ear. I'm in early childhood development and this is definitely a no, no
Besides that, she is a mother of two, so should know better.

I never thought I would like a “Hallmark” type show as I did with Virgin River. I agree that I would like to see more medical drama. The show is so damn predictable, but it has charm. Looking forward to the second season..
I believe the second is completely filmed, just waiting for release which should be this year, fingers crossed.

I walked in from work and my girlfriend was deep into the middle of Season 1 and refused to get off the sofa for 5hrs. In short (from a hetero males perspective) this is carbon copy of every other night time soap that's been pumped out for decades. Confused, annoying, yet beautiful women, and completely unrealistic male characters that are a sickening mixture of Beta and Alpha that (of course) worship the ground of the main female characters. If you are someone who enjoys cheesy Hallmark movies this is the series for you. If you would rather run head first into a wood chipper than have to sit through a Hallmark movie that goes on for hours and hours then steer clear of this Virgin River. Be careful guys, woman lock onto this like men lock onto good porn. Which ironically is also cheesy and unrealistic, so to each his own.

Oh my god! I think i watched the show over ten times already. I so curious to see whats going to happen in season 2. Hope love prevails. I think Jack will go after Mel. He really loves her. Play writer, please dont mess up here.
Its a beautiful love story. Hope the writer will read my mind and structure season 2 as i have it in my head.Can it be a liittle earlier than summer?

I could only watch this series in doses. Hope became just annoying.
