Sooooo... Jenna Ortega was a vegan for a very long time, up until she started filming the Netflix show Wednesday in Romania. She is now a pescatarian. Ortega revealed in an interview that she performed autopsies on little dead animals she would find in her backyard when she was younger, which reminds us a lot of her character. Oh, and she had to learn to play the cello for her role as Wednesday.
Soooo... Emma Myers made her talk show debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She explained how she prepared for her role on Wednesday where she plays Wednesday's roommate who is a Werewolf. Emma and several cast members attended Werewolf Bootcamp to get them into a Werewolf spirit. They would run on all fours and growl at each other. Emma wouldn't find this difficult since she was a figure skater, a dancer, and a gymnast herself.
Soooo... Percy Hynes White's dad used to read to him from Tim Burton's poetry book and he's been his fan all his life. He was cast for Wednesday and got the news from his Mom on April Fool's Day so he thought she was pranking him and went back to sleep. Percy says he enjoyed working with Burton and that he pestered Tim for a drawing of his favorite morbid cartoon characters Tim created. The drawing was signed: To Percy, my favorite tortured artist.
Soooo... Gwendoline Christie was studying to be a ballet dancer and a gymnast but she was growing up so fast her body couldn't keep up with the intense dance classes and she had a spinal injury when she was 11, so she turned to acting. Being bullied because of her height by kids and adults, almost made her become a nun. She was working for Simon Callow at the time and he assured her that success was just about the corner, and sure it was! Gwendoline made an instant impression on fans from the first time they saw her. She was even made the first female leading villain in Star Wars.
Soooo... Christina Ricci played Wednesday Addams herself as a child star in the 1991 comedy "The Addams Family" and its 1993 sequel, "Addams Family Values." Despite the fact that both movies were popular with fans, some "Wednesday" viewers haven't connected the dots about Ricci's Addams pedigree until now. She said that it's nice to be a part of this next iteration of that character and that the show is tonally true to the heart and soul of the original, but then it's so modern, and that Ortega's take on Wednesday is "incredible."
