Excellent work. How exactly are you adding weight for 1/4 oz total? Are you adding splitshot on the rig with smaller jigheads or fishing two 1/8 oz heads? Are 1/32 and 1/16 sizes preferred this time of year?
Generally double 1/16 jig heads is the most common set-up I use. If I add a 1/8 split shot then it is 1/4 oz. This time of year they are at all depths. Yesterday we caught several on single 1/32 and single 1/16.

The entire lake is that muddy or worse I imagine. However, the fish still have to eat. With as much rain as we have had the creeks and coves on the south side of the lake are usually the most fishable. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

Yes. The fish will be in the layer of water just above the thermocline. Find the bait fish and you have found that layer. @@cglarsen26
