So some feedback from me, RitFit has also sent me the rack with my conditions being that it would be given to a friend of mine starting his gym. I went and put it together for him which was a relatively easy process. The materials felt pretty cheap to me and the final product is not something I would personally want/use. However, I had previously bought this friend a $100 or so basic squat stand from Walmart and he likes the RitFit rack a lot more. I will not be doing a video on this rack however as I found RitFit was quite rude/demanding in producing content despite my initial feedback that it was low priority for me and did not confirm a delivery date.
In comparison to the Fitness Reality rack, similar materials? Or compared to something that can hold a whale? If it's comparable to the Fitness Reality, I squat 455 on it and feel fine, but I do have the storage horns for a good base. If the rack can just tank 800-1000 lbs falling at shoulder height, im not worried one bit.
For the money, Valoer fitness offers a better product with something like their BD33 rack that has options for cables. A little more money, but so much better value
@@vengeance7x6661 Yeah but that costs way more and it takes a crap ton more space. Is there anything with a similar space footprint that has 2 points of contact for the pulleys?
You reviewed my rack! I agree with all the quirks and benefits you pointed out, no regrets. I have had mine for a year and it does everything I need. I got mine off Amazon and bundled a ritfit weight set and adjustable bench to save even more. Nothing amazing, does everything, cheap!
I bought mine a month ago. Love it it does everything it’s supposed to and it feels smooth af. If you get creative there’s a lot of shit you can do. Agree with all quirks but for the price it looks and feels nice
So, I have had mine for the past four months. I Believe it is excellent for the value paid for…. Use it three times a week. Cables and ergonomic work. I bought some dip bars and taped the upper lateral (multi-grip) bar, which has worked for me. My cage came with one pull-down bar and one small pull-down, one v bar for back workouts, one swivel bar adapter for the Olympic bar to do back workouts, 1-foot rests, and four resistant bands small bar. I love it. But if I had to buy again, I would buy the Major Lu tie to use as a full rack power bar. I still love it. 9:50
Excited that you're preparing a review for Major Luttie. I got the plm03 with a decent discount and so far happy with this. My only complain is the incompatibility with any accessory due to the weird size of the post 2.75x2 So I'm hopping maybe you find a hack/workaround on your review for that
I’ve got an Ethos power rack 1.0 , I’ve had it for 3 years and love it . 3” - 11ga , 1” safety bars with sleeves, spotter arms and j hooks . 3 position chin bar and large straight round cross brace fat grip chins . Large flat feet for great stability. Had to add all my cable pulleys but for the price I’m still way ahead. I’m adding 2 Rig Roller X assembly’s and the Crandall Fitness adjustable free motion lever arms
Coop - Awesome review. Right now in the market for a power rack/fitness trainer like combo. Hoping you can review the SUPGYM PS1A vs the MAJOR LUTIE PLM03 vs the Marcy Pro Deluxe Smith Cage Home Gym System!! Thanks again for all these awesome reviews!
Can you or assambly Sam do a video on deadlift platforms? Whether it’s a comparison of different ones out there you can buy or even how to build your own? That’d be sick!!
Seems like a great deal. Could be the fix for most home gym users. The guide rods, angled weight horns, and multi-grip bar is great. Personally I would get a nice used rack+cable home gym, but those are cheap near me and I have room. Most people don't have room, or good used markets nearby.
Love the reviews in this price point... would love a review of the Bells of Steel Light Commercial rack. Been looking at it as the accessories for it seem better priced than say their Titan / Rep equivalent
I own this thing now and it's fucking phenomenal. The only problem is their goddamn pulleys have black knobs around the sides that fall the fuck off during installation and they fall down the uprights, to be lost forever. It's super fucking sad they couldn't just glue those down.
Would love you to compare this to the REP PR 1100 with a lat pull down. It has a lot of add ons available, a full review on the PR 1100 would be great too!
Looking forward to the round up of all the racks. We just bought our forever home. There’s a two car garage, but we only have one car. GUESS WHAT THAT OTHER SPACE IS GOR!!!😄
Love the review thanks Coop! Specifically how adaptable is the lat pull down option? I am concerned that adding both sides of the cables and having to sit on the floor will not be a practical option.

Need a Major Lutie booty review. Ever review and video i have seen doesnt not show any weight on the ML racks. Im assuming it’s because they are shakey af but would like a real review with some actual weight on the rack
Does the cable system allow low seated rows? *not the wierd 2 cable pull down he demonstrated but can it be set up to have a handle the allows 2 grip low seated row
I will say, my rack, which is a gear for fit 1100, which is almost the same as the REP pr-1100, has a lat pulldown addon, and extra plate storage upright addons that would keep the rack price around the price of that thing, but I think a design I'd prefer over this one. Because you still have usable rack space without the pulldown being in the way. But it does mean you need more space for it. I have my rack in a small 6x9 area, so I don't have room for those addons.
Brand new to the idea of home gym. Since leaving the Army I've really missed access to all that gym equipment all the time. This vid was SUPER helpful. I might get this, but I am willing to drop $1000, so I'm also looking for what you recommended in the two separate parts (rack + functional trainer). If that video exists already please let me know!
This looks almost the same as the major lutie plm03 (as in a lot of the parts look exactly the same) albeit with a few differences. The major lutie has adjustable dip bars, different spotters, and the functional trainer appears to have a bit more customization. The pull up bar doesn’t look like it has as many hand grips either, and the major lutie is also $150 more. Edit: major luttie rates their cables at 300lbs, I’d imagine these would have the same rating given that they seem to share a lot of parts.
This specific rit fit unit is more compact, look at the back of the pulley system. However, Rit Fit also has one that is identical to the major lutie. Although i like this one for its similarities and compact frame.
I'm considering ordering a rack within the next few days, and saw this and the Major Lutie, and due to this review I really am considering this.. but I was curious if you have an idea on when your review of the Major Lutie rack would drop? Also, is it the oddball PLM04 with the rounded tubing, or the Major Lutie PLM03/PLM05 that's the conventional squared tubing? (Hoping for the PLM03 since it's also a functional trainer squat rack)
I hope you do the TDS power rack. The one I have is over ten years old, so I don't know if they are the same, but it is a lot more rugged than this thing. These safeties are a joke. The TDS has 1" solid steel rods for safeties. Would hold the 1,000 lbs. its rated for, for real.
I want to build a full priivate gym in the future with professional equipment. That being said, which equipment brand is your favorite? I'm thinking to have a mix between Panatta, Atlantis and Prime, but you don't need to choose exactly these, just want to know your favorite brand, which has the best angles, best quality
I’ve been watching your reviews heavy recently, I have the space for a separate trainer. My question is would the center lat pull down from Ritfit and the trainer wall mount from titan be better? Thanks!!
Can you review the "MAXUM F-220 Pro Functional Trainer Power Rack Home Gym" I've had my eye on it for a while but I can't find a good review video on it.
Have you reviewed the ritfit ppc03 yet? It’s one I was considering getting with the weights. Seems like it’s a lil more than this one but with a few more options possibly like lat pull down.
When is your vid. on the Major Lutie equivalent coming out? Curious to see it. That's actually the one I was considering purchasing. And this doesn't have a direct lat pulldown, but can't you improvise by using one side of the pulley?
You mentioned that you are working on reviewing the Major Lutie- when will you publish that? I'm looking at that and the Mikolo RSI K3- would love to know what you think of those two
Hey Coop, long time follower. Can you make sure you include the Bridge Built half rack in the round up given their high and low row pulley system? Cheers, brother!
I'm ok with my rack only doing one thing but it does it very well. If I want dumbbells and machines I can pay for a cheap box gym membership. Last time I was a LA Fitness they had 1 club membership for $10/month. I will probably be shopping for a gym for the months where it's to cold to lift outside since things in my garage don't respond well to getting smacked with a barbell from a snatch or c&j.
I've had the lat pd version of this rack for a couple years now and I can speak to the quality and durability of this company's equipment. I'll definitely say that the lat pd version doesn't have quiiiite the weight capacity that coop is estimating this version to have, at least for the cable system (specifically the guide bar) but the rack itself and safeties can handle pleeeeenty of weight.

I specifically saved this video to watch later because I've owned the lat pulldown version of this power rack for a couple of years now. I can all but guarantee that with the cost savings of this machine compared to similar ones, you'll have quite a bit of money to spend on other equipment to more fully flesh out your gym. The durability and effectiveness of this company's equipment cannot be overstated, at least relative to its price.
Great price and product but key limitations are: non-standard 2x2. So you won't be able to expand the utility to the bazillion 3x3 accessories. The spotter arms are just too short. I've had a rack with this size of spotter arms, it's way too short for squatting and barely enough for benching.

Funny that the weight on the trainer was worth more than the rest of the system.
Titan t2 all the goodies added on! I have one with almost every attachment and it’s the most bad ass home gym cage you could ask for, truly all in one
I would be interested in seeing this compared to the HulkFit Power Rack with the optional Functional Trainer (Cable Crossover) add-on.
That's definitely something I want to see
Great review! Thank you very much. Would love to see more funtional/Rack combos reviewed. I am subscribed but haven’t seen Major Lutie reviewed.
Looking forward to your "all comparison" cus I am eyeballing the Major Lutie SML09 to start my home gym and add to the few cardio pieces that I have.

There are some 3rd party shims that will take up the space inside the mount. Not sure about your dimensions.
