Such an intriguing place! We love to explore abandoned place, and the landscape there is just stunning. The houses remind us the ones you can find here in Sweden or any way in Scandinavian countries.
I could enjoy Île aux Marins on a foggy and on a sunny Day! Absolutelly beautiful and a different way to enjoy the little island. It was a shame the houses were closed during my stay. ( the island is considered as a museum, you can look through the windows of the houses and appreciate the inside)
Quite a remote looking place, at forst glance from the ferry I saw no trees. A very desolate but calming place from what I can see. The population would have been very dependent on the mainland. It could be a great escape now during Covid if people had a holiday home here. 👍🎥🌷🙋♀️
This Island of St Pierre which belongs to France is not very well known. This satellite island of St Pierre is even less known and for me the highlight of the trip. I think locals from St Pierre do have vacation homes here.
is price level the same as in Canada or France? And I have a curiosity, what French accent people of Sait-Pierre speak? Like Quebec French or French from France?
The hotels are expensive as there are so few. I only went to the bakery and didnt see any other shops so cant comment on prices. In the first video in the series you can hear the guy talking in French in the car, I was able to understand most. I would guess they speak France French not Quebec.
Read the comments in the videos, I have answered this many times already. The ONLY way in/out of St Pierre is from Canada only so you need Canadian entry status BEFORE you can come to St Pierre. Read the wiki travel wikitravel.org/en/Saint-Pierre_and_Miquelon

I believe they do arrange tours to visit some buildings but I was short on time
It's such a cute island! I wonder why the residents abandoned it. It has nice views and looks peaceful outside of the power plant noises.
I forget why they all left in the 1960s, thanks for watching
