I have 2 question 1st - Which Zephyr plugin we need to install , Im getting Zephyr-Scale or Zephyr Squad or Zephyr Enterprise 2nd - How to create a traceability report for multiple projects in Zephyr ??? Please help me out .
Great tutorial! Is it possible to automate the cloning of the Test cycle for a Particular folder every time there is a new test cycle or a new version?
Hi, is it possible to trigger an automated test case execution through JIRA + Zephyr. Like JIRA will trigger Jenkins build which in turn executes the test cases
Yes, it is possible to trigger automated test case execution through Jira + Zephyr, although it requires integration with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tool like Jenkins. Here's a general idea of how this could work: Jira + Zephyr: Jira is used for issue tracking and project management, while Zephyr is used for test case management. You create and manage your test cases in Zephyr. Jenkins Integration: Jenkins is a popular open-source CI/CD tool that can be used to automate the execution of your test cases. Jenkins can execute scripts that run your tests whenever a specific trigger is fired. Automation Test Scripts: Write your automation test scripts using a framework/language that's suitable for your application (like Selenium with Java/Python, JUnit for Java applications, etc.). Setup Jenkins Job: Create a Jenkins job that will execute your automated test scripts. You might want to configure this job to be triggered in a specific way - like after a code commit in a particular branch of your repository, or periodically at specific times. Zephyr for Jira and Jenkins Integration: Zephyr provides ZAPI (Zephyr API), a commercial, production-ready REST API that can allow Jenkins to fetch Zephyr related details, update automation status back to Zephyr after Jenkins job execution. Create a Jenkins-Zephyr Connector: This requires writing a script (or using a Jenkins plugin if available) that can communicate with ZAPI. It should fetch the test cases marked for automation in Zephyr, execute them through the Jenkins job, and then update the test execution status back in Zephyr. Remember, the implementation specifics can vary based on your environment and your exact requirements. You may need to work closely with your development team, or even a DevOps engineer, to set this up. Before getting started with the Jenkins integration, make sure you have a strong foundation of automation testing and you are comfortable with writing and maintaining your automation test scripts.
Hello, Really good series, very well done overall. I was watching for a section on change management and the link between Test cases that fail and Defects logged. -What mechanism alerts Test personnel that a requirement "Story" has changed, driving workflows to update the related test cases and perhaps execute them? -As I am attempting to verify a Defect, are the failed test cases presented, such that I can execute them in an ad hoc and obtain a passing result? -As I am executing a test case, is there indication that previous attempts failed and a listing of the associated Defects (such that I might verify those Defect items also, if possible). Thank you again for your efforts in putting these tutorials together
Maybe I missed it - but did you go over how to link a bug to a task? I'm learning zephyr for work - I'm not sure how to link a bug/defect to a test execution so that a user can select the linked bug and be taken to the page - I've been copying and pasting the url for the bug link and they stated they want me to learn how to link a url so you can click and go to the page
Thanks for such a detailed class. You explained it very well. I have a question - How do you show the requirement in the traceability report, I tried to requirement numbers as labels, but when I generate the traceability report there is no option to choose by label
Hi, thank you for this tutorial it was great. I am new at QA and I have a question about Zephyr. My PM told me think about a "virtual place" where we could store folders with tests (something like a repository). So that we could export them to a "real" test cycle when we need them. Question: is there a place in Zephyr to do that?
Hello good afternoon Manish, I would just like to mention this was a very informative and well organized Zephyr series. I have a couple questions for you, if you don't mind. Do you recommend the test team to have a separate project where they keep their tests, instead of having them within the same project that the development team uses? Also, do you know if Zephyr can export Test Cycles in a readable format, such that a test team or a reviewer can have a hand copy or a well formatted html/pdf type? I ask in case a tester prefers to execute a test with a different view format?
The simple Test Cases will never be related to the user story? I mean, you did Gherkin cases in the user story, and then when you get the forward metrics I only see the cases created in the user story using Gherkin language, how can I make a relation between Simple tests in a cycle with the requirements? Or if the requirements come as a User story I can only use Gherkin and not Simple test? Thanks !

Sir can you please upload a video on automation testing using selenium webdriver , Python ,jira for issue or bug tracking ...And ontime working project (user application)..Just to know the how the work in real time... Please upload as early as possible

Hello Sir, Good Morning .I request you to make the same type of video based on the updated version of JIRA by using the Zephyr plugin. Updated version of JIRA with this plugin has different functionality than older one . I am unable to implement the theory exactly as you are trying teaching.
I am using your tutorial to learn zephyr, but the new Jira 8cloud version doesn't have zephyr for Jira ...in the App section. Which app I should use to learn?
Simply superb! You are a clone of me. The only difference is I am learning and you are teaching.
I have 2 question
1st - Which Zephyr plugin we need to install , Im getting Zephyr-Scale or Zephyr Squad or Zephyr Enterprise
2nd - How to create a traceability report for multiple projects in Zephyr ???
Please help me out .
Hello,
I want to ask you, whether the Zephyr test cycle can be moved to another project ?
thankyou,
Thanks for the detailed tutorial.
Glad it was helpful! Keep watching and sharing.

Thank you for an amazing tutorial!!!!!🙏🏾
I am glad my work is helpful! Thank you!
Thank you Manish, what a splendid Tutorial.

when import from outside testcase which has all existing jira link attached, can we setup the Zephyr with same project/epic/story structure?

Maybe if you can cut short your summary in the file in 1 line, it could work
what does it mean SIt Enviroment ? what else can i write in this field ?
