This father is a joker, why would he call his daughter if she didn't call him about her wedding? Karma is an unforgiving drink best served cold and Emily and her mother is going to get what's coming to them.
Anyone who sides with the daughter should be disowned. I feel sorry for the stupid groom. He better start preparing for a future similar to his bride's wimpy father. The ungrateful daughter condones her mother's ways (hypergamous, monkey-branching harlot). The father is a pathetic excuse of a man. I'm a 62 year-old father and grandfather and if any of my descendants pulled a stunt like that I'd immediately disown them.
@@williamsbautista2686 It sounds like you're expressing a lot of frustration and disappointment about a situation involving family loyalty, betrayal, and the consequences of people’s actions. However, disowning a family member, especially over a difficult or painful situation, is an extreme response that could create even deeper wounds and long-term consequences for everyone involved. Family relationships are complicated, and while betrayal can be incredibly painful, every situation has multiple perspectives. People make mistakes, sometimes grave ones, and while it’s natural to feel anger or disappointment, disowning someone may not always be the best or healthiest response. Maintaining open communication, even when it’s hard, can sometimes allow for understanding, reconciliation, or at least peace. As a father and grandfather, your instinct is to protect your family and hold them accountable to certain values. But sometimes, showing patience, setting boundaries, and having tough but compassionate conversations can have a more lasting positive impact than severing ties altogether. The long-term effects of disownment could be isolating for both you and the family member, potentially leading to regret or loss that may be hard to repair later. I think the OP kind of brought a lot of this onto himself. He let some dude come and take his wife and later his daughter and he did NOTHING about it. He just took it like a C*ck. Then he knows his daughter is going to get married and goes months without talking to her??? Or her husband-to-be??? It seems as if the OP wants to be "part of the family" on his terms and his terms only. I suspect he ended up losing his wife and later, his daughter to his inactive role as a husband and father. While I don't ever condone cheating, I think we can see why the ex-wife did it if this OP worked all the time and never put any real effort into being a husband and father. Losing the wife is one thing but it takes quite a bit of a lack of effort at being a father to lose your kid(s) as well. Guys need to smarten up and stop allowing their jobs to rule their lives, especially when they have a wife and kids at home. If you aren't spending the time and effort to keep your woman and family happy ....... Someone else will.
As her father, Greg obviously had no communication skills at all. He hadn't been in touch with his daughter and knew nothing about the details of his daughter's wedding. No wonder his wife had cheated on him. He had been so gullible as to be mentally impaired. So, the whole garbage of, after not being invited to Emily's wedding, of him turning up at her wedding and disrupting the whole thing. That's ridiculous. Has the man no self respect at all? Weak and pathetic, he clearly wasn't involved in his daughter's life. She was 24 FFS. Not some 18 year old. This whole thing was written simply to stoke emotional ties and get Clicks. Just ridiculous.
He went to the wedding? He walked her down the aisle? WTAF was that? Pathetic, weak man. Why would "Lucas" want to even marry someone who would do that to her own father? That story did not match the thumbnail (clickbait). You tricked people into coming here for a strong man story.
Sophie is an evil, despicable woman. It's obvious that she and her new squeeze poisoned Emily against her father, and Emily was just 'going along' with Sophie because she didn't want to incur Sophie's wrath. Good for Greg.
I think he should have quit his job, moved and NEVER made contact with her ever again. She is a grown women and she did this to her real father. As far as I'm concerned she is nothing but filth just like her cheating mother.
Story made no sense. How did the daughter/father rift started? Thought the father even offer to pay for the wedding & the daughter casually acknowledged it.
Love for a child is one thing. But when they become adults and make their own decisions. Those decisions have consequence and some things can't be undone. Does the OP have no self pride. The OP demonstrated why it was so easy for his ex to cheat on him. If this had happened to me. I would have gone zero contact with both the Ex and the daughter. Disappear and start a new life and forget they exist.
@@axlejohnson9156 It sounds like you're reflecting on the consequences of adult children’s decisions and the importance of self-respect. While it's true that as adults, people must face the consequences of their actions, and some decisions can lead to irreparable damage, each person’s response to betrayal can vary based on their emotional strength, values, and circumstances. The original poster (OP) may not lack self-pride but may instead be trying to navigate an extremely painful situation in their own way. Some people choose to go no-contact to protect their mental health, while others might hold onto relationships out of love or hope for healing. There’s no "one-size-fits-all" solution to betrayal. Walking away and starting over can be empowering for some, while others may need time to process their emotions or even attempt reconciliation, even if it seems difficult. Ultimately, everyone deals with emotional pain differently. Cutting ties may bring a sense of closure, but for others, confronting the pain and trying to find peace or resolution, no matter how challenging, might feel more right for them. It's important to honor your own boundaries, but it's equally important to recognize that others may take a different path in dealing with heartbreak.
