I think the OP kind of brought a lot of this onto himself. He let some dude come and take his wife and later his daughter and he did NOTHING about it. He just took it like a C*ck. Then he knows his daughter is going to get married and goes months without talking to her??? Or her husband-to-be??? It seems as if the OP wants to be "part of the family" on his terms and his terms only. I suspect he ended up losing his wife and later, his daughter to his inactive role as a husband and father. While I don't ever condone cheating, I think we can see why the ex-wife did it if this OP worked all the time and never put any real effort into being a husband and father. Losing the wife is one thing but it takes quite a bit of a lack of effort at being a father to lose your kid(s) as well. Guys need to smarten up and stop allowing their jobs to rule their lives, especially when they have a wife and kids at home. If you aren't spending the time and effort to keep your woman and family happy ....... Someone else will.
