From one drummer to another, I highly recommend Wuhan chinas. Great for the price, especially 18s and 12s. Also, I would try inverting your mini china. Personal experience, they tend to break quicker if you leave them like that. They also eat up your sticks.

yeah, they are a bit tight. I have no china's so I thought if I tightened it I could get more of a china sound

Loosen up your cymbals a bit bro? Just a suggestion, they'll las a good bit longer and sound better. Lol. Just a thought, you do what works best for you.
