I'm excited to announce that I'll be attending the DEMA scuba diving trade show later this year to check out some of the products mentioned in this video!
There has been a lot of changes over the yesrs Back in the day they didnt even use spgs, the dive was over when you couldnt suck anymore air There's been huge changes in the equipment we use whilst diving, dry suite, dive computers, bcds etc. but there's also stuff like DPV/Scooters, cameras, and of course slates In terms of actual scuba equipment though, theres nitrox and trimix, full face masks and underwater radio And then there's the biggest innovation rebresthers. They're not as slick as bond's but you can have hours of bottom time with very minimal decompression time of a single set ot tanks I know a lot of what I mentioned is covered here but these have all existed in some form for years
Haven't been any changes? You must be brand new to diving. Mixed gas, 100% o2, electric/mechanical rebreathers, surface supplied, compressor driven with VTs, habitats, deep submergence, need I say more? 10 seconds into the video with such a bold statement. I would have said, "scuba principles" haven't changed much since its inception.
How would that orb rebreather helmet even work? I mean it looks cool, but where does the o2 come from? I see no cylinders and where is the CO2 scubber?
My favourite is the Orb? dive helmet rebreather. A lot depends on how reliable and durable it is in production as well as how supportable it is commercially, as rebreathers are so much more complicated
I would think the dive helmet would be the one everyone would like to use in the future for sure. Just carry a .5 liter back up tank in case it fails..same goes for tankless systems, carry a mini spare tank unless you are diving 15 ft or less...
The main benefit of avelo is no need for a BCD, not just no weights. I already dive with 0 weight, but even if I didn't the fact that buoyancy doesn't change with depth would be a much bigger deal than not needing to bring some extra lead. The lighter tank is because they're using carbon fiber cylinders, afaik the same design could be implemented in a steel or aluminum cylinder
Is there any more info on the ORB system? I stopped diving because of physical problem and the weight divers deal with. I just couldn't do it any longer. I've been waiting for ORB since I seen the Russian guys showing a system like the ORB. I sure would like to get back to Diving
Son, You have excellent cummication skills. Pleasure to listen to, and very good presentation! You keep this up and you will be recongized! Keep it up!

Great video. I wasn’t aware of the Atmos dive watch. Would like the DPV . Just subscribed 👍
Cool video! Looking forward to the nomad test
Me too! It'll be one of my coolest videos yet

I think he is, seems more like the general outdoors guy who dips his toes into diving. He sounds like it doesn’t understand much
Especially with the whole orb helmet thing

That's some really amazing stuff. I love the helmet at the end 👍🇨🇦

This is very interesting!

JACQUES YVES 🙌💝
I own the o t s mask and blu3 nomad lol
I now have the Nomad too!
Im pretty sure, that the orb dive helmet is a scam.
Sadly, none of these products will work in cold water diving. Be bold, dive cold.
